Hate to say it and rain on any parades but I was overdue with first Baby and induced then overdue with second baby also Blush I think baby totally decides when they are coming and previous labour make no difference in my personal experience, (she was head right down for weeks aswell ) BlushSmile

CharlieBalf · 08/08/2020 13:01

Thanks for the feedback on heat/quiet baby... Had a bout of hiccups which lasted about an hour at 5am then some squirms this morning so alls OK in there.
@otterbaby I've been trying to drink more too and it seems to have a positive effect 😊

I'm too hot. I know it's been said before but honestly can't move for sweating! I'm just constantly damp 😭

bluemoon2468 · 08/08/2020 13:33

London is a joke 🥵🥵🥵 Remind me never to plan an early autumn baby again 🙈

otterbaby · 08/08/2020 14:10

@Buzz22 head down, but she's been moving so much since yesterday that I wouldn't be surprised if that's changed! Wow 16 hours is so long, mine was only 6 hours. It'll be interesting to see what actually happens for those of us who have had one.

Spark27 · 08/08/2020 15:46

OMG, yesterday was a joke. I spent the morning finishing the packing whilst looking after DD and then when DH finished working we got in the car. Fortunately only took us 2hrs to get to the holiday house. Spent the evening collapsed on the sofa. So pleased we took fans with us. Even with windows open and fan on full it was 30c in bedroom at 2300. Had such a sore bump and achy back too. Probably from humping and dumping all the stuff around.

Today has been about 5c cooler, with more cloud and a breeze so that's amazing. Feeling for all of you coping with it too xx

Treacle81 · 08/08/2020 17:14

I wonder how mine will go due to the 16 year age gap.Imagine my body will treat it like a first pregnancy as been so long. My son was 40+1, 17 hr labour so hope I don't go over days or much bigger, he was 7,9 so hoping for 7,14 or something lol. Boiling here - windows open, blinds shut, fan on max!! Looks like another shit sleep on the cards 🙄 this is when I miss booze!! xx

Treaclepie19 · 08/08/2020 18:12

Forgot to say, ds1 was born at 37+4 so I'm still hopeful this little one won't keep us waiting :p

I feel for you all today. I've just got out the shower and now sat back in front of the fan. Gosh, it needs to cool down.

I've had a lovely day today after a big food shop we went to see a friend and I had lots of cuddles from her lovely red setter and I am completely covered in dog hair now. Was so nice to be somewhere different.
It's not been as hot today but was still sweating immediately after getting out the shower this morning!
I'm a bit nervous about the birth now as I think a water birth goes out the window with GD but I will talk about that at my appointment, I think they like to induce slightly early with GD babies.

babymama09 · 08/08/2020 23:34

Hi girls, was back in hospital again with contractions on Thursday til Friday. I am still at risk of labour has anyone else had massive theigh pain in labour before both my theigh are in agony and they say its sciatica but the pain is worse when I contract and feel sick constantly again too. How r u all

Quiffy · 09/08/2020 09:29

@babymama09 hope you're both okay

@BntTowers that sounds like a lovely day. Red setters are gorgeous 😻

@Spark27 30 at 11pm is awful, hope it stays a bit cooler 😅 same for everyone else, I'm whinging at 21 😹 anything higher must be pure hell!

No idea what got into our youngest cat last night, he was rampaging all night. Kept waking me up from 2am as he was determined to knock all my things off my bedside cabinet. I gave up and got up at 6am, couldn't find my glasses as he'd put them under the bed and I'm too big to get up and down. Went for a shower and got dressed, next thing he projectile vommitted all the bits of my plants he's been eating up in front of me 😡 - which made me projectile vom too. Ended up going through to dh sobbing for him to get up to help. How am I going to survive a baby 😅😅😅😅 now just waiting to head off for our growth scan then I'm planning on a nap 😴😴😴

We did get our pram built yesterday. It's absolutely gorgeous and super excited to use. We've both been practicing putting it up and down and now it's in the car for safety. Not much room left in the boot... 😅

LexiM · 09/08/2020 09:52

@babymama09 hope everything is ok for you, glad they are monitoring you but sorry you're uncomfortable.

@Quiffy that sounds like the night from hell! My cat was also really hyper last night, although we shut him downstairs. I bet your husband was like what is going on!! Hope the cat is better behaved tonight. Look forward to hearing about your growth scan as well.

It's so exciting putting the pram together and testing it isn't it. We dont have much room in the boot either!

@BntTowers sounds like a lovely day. Maybe you wont be here waiting after everyone has their babies after all!

I spent all of yesterday lying around near a fan. At 8PM we went food shopping and even then it was hot out. Glad it was cooler overnight. Although I woke at 4am feeling very sick. I didn't know what to do with myself, it was like the worse morning sickness all over again. I got in and out of bed for about an hour and eventually fell back to sleep. Must have been the baby's position I guess, so hopefully it was a one off.

Today we are going to my parents for lunch and have a dip in the pool. Cant imagine I will be doing much else as still meant to be hot today.

Spark27 · 09/08/2020 10:30

Sorry @Quiffy, but your cat made me laugh a lot. I can imagine DH waking up and being like 'what on earth is going on?' 😹 hope you're feeling better now.

@babymama09, how are things going? Hope you're doing ok and managing to relax a bit (even with the rest of the family to look after).

Fortunately last night was a bit cooler, and I managed about 8hrs sleep! I seem to have a few good nights, followed by a few terrible nights. We're off to the zoo this afternoon. My DH LOVES a zoo. Having to remind him that I cant walk around too much, too fast. He'll be like a kid in a sweet store.

33w today, cant believe it. Baby is kicking away happily. Getting some really uncomfortable movements when she wriggles. Like I can feel the bones of her elbows and knees moving just under the skin 🤢.

I think once this holiday is done it will start to feel even more real as I get the pram/carseat etc out of the garage, start clothes washing, etc. Hope you all have a good day xx

Spark27 · 09/08/2020 10:32

Just realised I'm going to have to pack a bag for DD to go to grandma's! My mum has a lot there, but I would have sent her with no clothes! 🙈

Treaclepie19 · 09/08/2020 11:27

@Spark27 I miss going to the zoo. Tbh I miss going anywhere!
I haven't thought about packing for ds either... I don't even know for sure who is having him. Lets hope it all works out 🙈 If not DH can just stay home.

Dh is putting up the next2me today :) Then I'm going to get packing hospital bags. Feels very real.

Quiffy · 09/08/2020 13:51

@LexiM there must be something in the air, my mum was saying the same about hers. Bloody animals and I still gave him salmon from my lunch 😹

@Spark27 I can laugh about it now 😹 dh is unimpressed with us all. I had to take him for ice cream after our scan (because he's a child 🙄). So jealous of your zoo visit, adore going to places like that. Have a great time 😻

@BntTowers sounds like a lovely plan!

@Treaclepie19 ahhh crib is very exciting!

Growth scan went really well. He's 97th percentile and around 5.2lbs so although he's still in normal he's at the top end. He also wouldnt cooperate at all for the sonographer, which she thought was funny at first but sounded quite frustrated towards the end 😹 back in in 2 weeks to keep an eye on him. He's still head down so woop.

Got home and dh hung out some of the secondhnd toys I'd bought and washed. He's hung them all by different limbs in a line and now won't stop singing the song from Pirates of the Caribbean where the pirates get hung 🤪🤪

Treacle81 · 09/08/2020 15:38

Great news @Quiffy my app says around 3. Something baby weighs just now but I'm glad you said that as I defo think mine is bigger than that. Don't know tho as not going for scan. @Treaclepie19 once the crib is up it'll feel so close!! I'll put mine up start of my A/L in a month xx

Treacle81 · 09/08/2020 15:40

Meant to say I've felt quite 'niggly' down below today and don't usually feel that unless been out walking. Think I've dropped too. Just hope it's something to do with him growing and now start of a UTI or infection xx

Treaclepie19 · 09/08/2020 15:57

Gosh. Our bedroom looks tiny now. I can't believe we have a next2me in our room again. Eek.
I'm working through my list of jobs. Later DH is building our 4yos new bike for his birthday ❤
I'm very niggly down below too @Treacle81, but its quite normal for me. Hopefully just the way baby is sat!

That made me giggle @Quiffy 😂

Hi girls thanks for all the supportive messages. I am currently cramping with restless legs and feel like I need the loo. My dc has increased as well but cannot tell if it's normal or not baby is kicking around just fine. I have hit 29 and 3 days 🙌🙌🙌furthest I have ever come. Don't have a scan til Tuesday but if these tightening continue I am going to end up back in hospital. If I don't respond for a while it's where I am. I hope thess are braxton hicks because they don't hurt but I can feel them lower down every now and again. How r u all. Sorry for the tmi x

babymama09 · 09/08/2020 20:20

Pain is all lower back so can't tell how frequent things are. If it isn't in my back it's in my thighs has anyone else had any of this? I am worried this is slow labour

Treacle81 · 09/08/2020 20:30

@babymama09 my pain is always around bump or down below xx

LostinAusten2 · 09/08/2020 22:30

Sending you hugs @babymama09 x

babymama09 · 09/08/2020 23:20

Thanks girls will keep you posted until I go back in. Getting a new phone next week so will be able to post when in hospital

BntTowers · 09/08/2020 23:21

@Quiffy such a naughty cat, did make me laugh though I hope you have a better tonight of it tonight! Sounds like the cat and the baby conspired to be awkward today!

@babymama09 fingers crossed these are just Braxton Hicks and they ease off. Keep us updated.

@Spark27 we are going to Yorkshire Wildlife park for my birthday in a few weeks I'm.so excited they are opening late so you arrive at 4.30pm and they don't close until 9pm, hoping it will be quiet as its limited tickets and there will be some good photo opportunities.

We have done a 2 mile walk today then for some reason went out again for another little wander so nearly 3.5 miles and my back is killing now. It's been much cooler here but I think it's set to be hot again tomorrow. I also half got my hospital bag packed and I have everything ready for the baby's bag once I get it back. I had to send it back as it came with the security tag still on...

MrsK89 · 10/08/2020 00:14

@babymama09 I've been getting period type cramps in my lower back for a good few days now. Midwife just said it was normal, but I am getting more frequent tightenings.
I also have a scan on Tuesday so I will ask again.
Hope you feel better soon Flowers
