@babymama09 that all sounds really positive for you and you must be glad there is a plan in place for when she is born. I hope she stays put for the coming weeks!

@NWnature I love the name Lana and I have never even thought about the spelling backwards.

I've just had breakfast... then will go to my parents and have a second breakfast later for my step-dads birthday. Yesterday I had breakfast at 5.30am! My body doesnt know what day it is and now it appears doesnt know what time either. I tried to nap yesterday but couldn't and then at 9PM decided to do a deep clean of the stairs as the cat fluff is ridiculous, he loves to roll up and down them... I guess it was because it was cooler at night but I ached so badly!

Just to update you on the cat, my step dad managed to get his heart rate and although he was stressed by that it was significantly lower than at the vets so we think he was just very anxious going there and is fine. To be honest I'm not surprised as we had to wait 30 minutes outside on the day and a dog was barking. Plus because of Covid he hadn't really seen any other humans for months. Glad we dont have to go back.

Who was looking for yellow coming home outfits? Not an outfit, but these little sleepsuits are so cute. I love yellow flowers on little girls.

I seem to have really gone off orange juice this morning I've loved it throughout. I also had a bad nights sleep, stupid cats keeping me awake at 5.30 I put some washing on as it was supposed to be sunny all day and it's raining now! Might as well start work early I'm going to finish early this afternoon as I had a bad day of it yesterday.

@LexiM going to the vets s so stressful for them anyway, then to be waiting outside for so long it must have just been a bit much for him, glad his heart rate seems to be a bit more normal now though.

By the time it comes to us giving birth, do you think the rules on visitors at the hospital will have relaxed, or do you think it will still only be the partner allowed?

@gbbo45 I'm hoping they'll be relaxed, they're already letting partners come into scams and antenatal appointments in my area - a bit too little a bit too late but it's a start. It'll all depend on how sensible the nation is and how it all develops...

Anyone else crazy tired, I slept well last night, woke up this morning like I'd been hit by a truck, legs ache, definitely in need of a nap!

We use the initials of his full name as a nickname, when I say his first name it still feels weird! Although I keep freaking out that close family (due aug) will use the name we chose despite us keeping it secret. Crazy baby hormones.

Anyone else feeling it now? I can’t believe it’s 10 weeks to go. I already can’t bend, struggle to get off the sofa and bed and just generally really uncomfortable. Baby is kicking all around meaning I keep needing to run to toilet urgently as the PAIN. He also likes going for the crotch 😅😅 October now feeling like an age away and I’m very very grumpy. Thankfully I bought some yarn so I can crochet some zen into me 🤪😹

I keep getting punched in the crotch too.

FYI Frugi is having their end of season sale, there's loads of stuff on sale! I picked up some cute summer bits for 6-12 months 🙂

@Quiffy yup, I think she's also worked her way into my ribs for the first time! Only 9 weeks...or could be 11 😭

Good news about your cat @LexiM. I hate it when my cat is ill. It's so stressful. Hes an annoying git, but I've had him for 11 years and hes like my first baby.

I'm feeling blurgh and uncomfortable today. Was awake from 0230 to about 0530 with really bad heartburn/reflux. Felt like I'd drunk a vat of white wine and it wasnt sorting well, how is that fair?! Then up again at 0700. My nose is so bunged up again so I've spoken to the pharmacist as to what I can use, as it would normally automatically be sudafed. It's making my head feel all woolly too. I need to motivate myself and get on with some work too. Keep wobbling the laptop mouse so I look active!
And I've got to go and pick up DD from nursery later. First time I've had to drive in 4.5 months! So pray for everyone around me

@NWnature sorry someone spoiled the name Lana for you - I think it's lovely and would never ever have thought of the backwards spelling!!

@lexim glad your cat is ok! When mine was injured I was so worried I couldn't eat/sleep until the vet told us she would be ok and make a recovery so know it's a lot to deal with!!

I'm part of the no sleep crew too 😞 slept badly all week. Partially because of baby kicking but mostly because of shit happening at work which has been worrying me... (I've been one of my colleague's punching bags since I got promoted to his level over a year ago. He's since been promoted a level above me but for some reason is still being awful to me - habit maybe... He's been especially bad this week) Luckily I have next week off to focus on moving house/baby prep/DIY!!

@otterbaby aaaah I'm so tempted by the sale!!

The health visitor is ringing me in a bit for my pre-baby chat. They'd normally do a home visit but obviously not right now. She phoned right as we were in the middle of eating mcdonalds so I may have asked for her to phone back later 😂

So sorry @MrsD1990 on the work stress - that’s so unfair! Really hope you can avoid this guy as much as possible - I’d something similar and moved teams just to get away, it’s ridiculous!

And yep wobbling the laptop mouse to try to look productive here too @Spark27 👍

Does anyone else's baby stop moving around or kicking when Dad is about.
Mine is busy all day and night, but as soon as my dh talks to my belly or touches it... it's complete tumbleweed.

@lostinausten2 thank you! Sorry you went through it too, it's awful isn't it!! I think that's why it's been worse this week - I'm working with him on something and it's just making my life terrible. Usually we aren't on the same teams for things. He mentioned that I would be on the same team for what we're currently working on together when I come back from maternity leave at a meeting yesterday... Not if I can help it!!!

It's either when daddy puts hands on tummy when I say how crazy he is going or when I try to record his movements on my phone. Ahhh my Baby Dan came today and 4 pack of six muslin squares and a grey cellular blanket I clearly forgot about. I honestly must have maybe 30 if not more Muslims now and ordered some in that Aldi event. That's the problem with online shopping 😳 I do hear I will use a lot of them 🤔 xx

@HerondaleDucks Yes 🤣 Baby moves around like crazy and as soon as dad puts hand on belly, she stops!

Had my 28 week appointment finally! Bump is slightly ahead and in the 90th percentile according to the chart in my book. 😱
30 weeks on Saturday 💃🏻 So uncomfortable already and unable to sleep, let's see what the last weeks bring 🤣

@ChickenDipper28 Yup, I ordered Muslins 😂😂😂 also blankets and a little comforter I think. Wanted the mulitpack wipes but in store only so planning on going early tomorrow as off work xx

The wipes look good! I might have to try and pop in store to get some too 😬 I still need to buy all of the nappy essentials 😩 I feel so unorganised!

@otterbaby I also hit the frugi sale this morning, my 4 year old is super happy she has some more skater dresses coming along with more baby stuff
Totally uncomfortable at the moment especially by the evening and sleeping is just making me sad as I can't get comfy anymore lol.. I'm looking at it as only 9weeks out of 40 left to go.. somehow single figures now make it a tad more bearable

@ChickenDipper28 don't worry, still plenty of time. I've maybe got 4 packs of nappies size 1, that'll due for now and make sure I like them. @booroo I actually dread bed time for same reason these days 😖 oh to go back to the days of early nights sleeping like a log!! xx

I've been told I'm not allowed to buy anything else because I need to leave stuff for people to buy as gifts.
So I've asked for muslins, baby toiletries, nappies and wipes and other sundries, and a sling.
I have everything else.

Glad we aren't alone in the shunning of Daddy. Lol @Treacle81 I feel like I imagine it too! Cause he gives me this blank look and says I CAN'T FEEL ANYTHING!
