@Safxxx @FruitLoopyLoo thank you both for advice. Sitting is the absolute worse but bed is also not fun. I am most comfortable on my back too. The pillow looks good but I think it might be too big for the bed. I’ll have a look for a smaller one. My bump isn’t even that big (as people keep telling me 🙄) I’m glad your flare has settled a bit, that’s reassuring.

Good news about partners being allowed into scan!

I thought that too, I thought DH would be being pushed out of bed 😂 but it's not as big as it looks there tbh.

He has said he wants one too and I honestly think I'll sleep in it forever now even after the baby is here! Grin oh and the dog loves it as well! Ha.

I've had bleeding and brown blood. I've been to the EPU several times because of it, and still get it sometimes. I have a hematoma they've said, and that sex or over doing it can agitate it.

The fact it's brown is a good sign, it means it's old blood. However I'd pop to the EPU just for reassurance (I get scared every time it happens to me, even though they've said to expect more of it, and always go down to the EPU)

Char41zam · 23/09/2020 14:04

@FruitLoopyLoo yes we did yesterday actually and then I had a bit of discomfort then the spotting so this makes sense! Hasn’t happened before but we are not doing stuff to often as I have had discomfort! Thanks for replying xx

Char41zam · 23/09/2020 14:06

@BatmanBaby I have a fibroid which was discovered at my 12 week scan so wonder if this has anything to do with the discomfort with sex? I have the hospital tomorrow as I go every 4 weeks so if I am still spotting I will talk to them, thanks for replying xx

Awww highly recommended by your pup! What a cutie! I need quite a firm pillow for my shoulder. Been getting on ok with v shaped one until this started. I know what you mean about having something wedged in your back so you feel like you’re on your back on your side tho! I’ve been trying to do that with regular pillows but not working so well. X x x

Safxxx · 23/09/2020 17:52

@babydust2412 hi did you have your scan tday? Was your partner allowed to go with You? Xxx

babydust2412 · 24/09/2020 16:03

@Safxxx ahh yes I did have my scan, unfortunately had to go alone again but baby is perfect and my placenta is high not low now so I won't have to have a c section with no choice now which is amazing cx

@babydust2412 glad all is well with baby, I had placenta prévia with my second child and was booked in for a c section and she had moved it out the way with her head lol! It was a big relief! Shame you couldn’t take your partner with you I hope mine can come next week but who knows xx

Safxxx · 24/09/2020 16:47

@babydust2412 Awe that's Amazing glad all is well, and your saved from the C section. Yeah I've had a feeling have to attend alone... my friend who had a baby 2 days ago, her partner was allowed only in delivery and recovery, she had a lot of blood loss was kept in, once she moved to the ward her partner was not allowed to see them.
Also if you turn up with Labour pains they check you and will only keep you in if your 4cm or over dilated. Once your allowed to stay they will allow only 1 partner in, who can't be changed. This all was experienced by my friend, also heard from someone else any hospital Appts need to be attended alone.
Hope things get easier by the time we all give birth 🤰🏻
Did they give you a free Scan picture? Xx

FruitLoopyLoo · 24/09/2020 17:13

Hi all!

I had mine today too and all is fine Smile

They did spot something called an amniotic band but they weren't concerned as it wasn't wrapped around any limbs which is when it was a problem. Have to go back at 28 weeks for another scan but the consultant I saw afterwards said he's really not concerned about it and the second scan is mainly for my peace of mind.

Can't believe we're half way through!!

Char41zam · 24/09/2020 17:21

@FruitLoopyLoo glad all is well! Least you will get to see baby again Smile I am sure if they are not concerned then all is ok, can’t believe it either it’s flown by I found out when I was 6 weeks and this last 14 weeks has flown, If the next 20 goes as quick we will have our babies in our arms before we know it! I’m so excited ❤️

Safxxx · 24/09/2020 20:52

@FruitLoopyLoo Glad baby is fine. Hopefuly other problem will not be a problem.
I agree time is flying.
So did you go alone too? Xxx

IamC · 24/09/2020 21:27

Anyone else had the whooping cough vax yet? Had mine after the scan yesterday and tonight it's sore and there's a large area of hardness surrounding where they injected me. Wondered if this was normal or an allergic reaction?

No my husband was allowed in fortunately! I had to ring to check first though xx

Yes, had mine a couple of weeks ago and mine did the exact same thing. It's very normal apparently. Couldn't sleep on it for s good few days and was a swollen hard lump around it with a bit of redness. Apparently it's a common reaction to the tetanus part of the vaccine or something. xx
Char41zam · 24/09/2020 23:03

@IamC I had mine last week and the same thing happened but my arm is fine now x

Safxxx · 24/09/2020 23:24

@FruitLoopyLoo Awe that's lovely your hubby got to go with you. Gives some hope to me now. Let's see what happens. Xxx

Vee1502 · 24/09/2020 23:51

@Safxxx @NotOnlyCatMum thank you for the warm welcome!

Such a good feeling to read through everyone's scans going well :) good luck to those who are yet to have them and hope your partners get to accompany you.

@IamC I had my whooping cough vaccine some days ago too and had some soreness and stiffness for a good 4-5 days. The nurse who administered it gave me a heads up it would do that so yes that's normal!

Has anyone felt their baby's movements develop a pattern already? I thought mine had this past week with the baby being super active around 10.30-11am and then at around 3pm. However it didn't move as much today and only just off and on very slightly. I know it's still super early to think
about a pattern but it's kept me pretty anxious all day today so thought I'd ask anyway how everyone else was getting on.

OnNaturesCourse · 25/09/2020 00:04

Hi all.

Hope you dont mind me jumping on your thread !

I'm nearly 20 weeks along with baby #2, got my 2nd scan on the 1st and are possibly going to find out the gender this time round. EDD of 12th Feb.

Char41zam · 25/09/2020 00:12

@Vee1502 I am the same I thought baby was starting to get active at nights but have not felt as much tonight, I have felt movement today though so not to worried as I think they still have plenty of room so probably not feeling all the movements

Safxxx · 25/09/2020 00:14

@Vee1502 mines quite active mornings late afternoon and evening. Don't feel it much at night. Yeah definetely bit early for patterns as it's quite random. Xxx

Char41zam · 25/09/2020 00:14

@OnNaturesCourse hey! I have my scan next Thursday too and hoping to find out Smile my Edd is the 13th of February

Safxxx · 25/09/2020 00:18

@OnNaturesCourse hi welcome and congrats 🤰🏽 your scans 4 days before mine, I too would love to find out the gender. Xx

OnNaturesCourse · 25/09/2020 00:22

Ooh, exciting! We didnt find out with my first as I was adamant I wanted a 'surprise' and for my DP to tell me the gender, whereas he wanted to find out. I 'got my way' with the first so he wants to find out this time round - but I keep switching from wanting to find out and wanting another surprise.

I have felt loads of movement! I'm not sure how much movement is 'normal' for this stage as I had an anterior placenta with the first so didnt feel anything aside from rolling sensations, and from 30+ weeks my bump would change shapes. This time round I have had movements since about 13 weeks, and in the past few weeks my tummy actually moves/pops out with each kick which I find amazing.
