Ok so I unfortunately had a chemical pregnancy (early miscarriage) last month and it really upset me even though I believe I was only 5 weeks it still really got to me:/

I've now found out a month later that I got a BFP again ! But now I'm just absolutely terrified it's going to happen again I obviously no the chances of miscarriage is at like 20% anyways but have you had the same thing happen and go on to having a healthy pregnancy after a chemical one? Please tell me your experiences and put my mind at ease x

Hi there,
I had a very early miscarriage at 6 weeks. I then fell pregnant straight away before having my period. I had a small bleed at around 6-7 weeks again but this time the blood was really faint and almost brown, not red. Had a scan done and there was a heart beat. I'm now almost 25 weeks and everything seems healthy.

It's hard not to think it's going to happen again. I still check my underpants for blood occasionally.

Congratulations and wishing you an uneventful pregnancy.

I had an early miscarriage at 6 weeks last year, didn’t try again until quite a while later and got pregnant again the first month trying. Baby is due in 4 weeks now. Pregnancy is nothing but a rollercoaster of emotions but try to enjoy it as much as you can with as little anxiety and worry as possible. Congrats!

Hi another one here who had an early miscarriage about 6/7 weeks... now 20 weeks pregnant! During the first trimester I felt really worried the same would happen again and had very few symptoms which although most people would be happy about I was convinced it meant something was wrong!!
Good luck with your pregnancy and try to remain as calm as possible, but also remember it’s ok to need some time to be kind to yourself. Congratulations x

CazzaCat · 16/07/2020 07:26

@Mummy120494 hey congratulations!!!!!
I had an early miscarriage at around 5 And a half weeks. I was gutted but knew we would try again, didn’t actively try that hard though the next month, I was just waiting for my period to return but was amazed to find out I was pregnant again straight away. Now 28 weeks and all is fine!!

I was very worried still obviously as once you’ve felt that loss you have a cloud over you head of dread! It did get easier though at each scan! Good luck OP!!! Enjoy your pregnancy!

Mummy120494 · 16/07/2020 07:54

Aww guys thankyou so much for commenting you've made me feel much better!

I think what got me the most was the fact that I've already had a healthy pregnancy with no problems no symptoms morning sickness you name it if I hadn't taken a pregnancy test I wouldn't of known I was pregnant haha ! To then getting pregnant again and losing the baby so early on was just so unexpected! So it really showed me it doesn't matter about your past history with pregnancy's it can literally happen to anyone! It was a massive shock to the system and it is daunting to think it could happen again !

Is taking pregnancy tests classed as an addiction ?? Haha 😂 I keep taking them to make sure the line is getting darker ! Haha 😂 and sure enough it is which is a step better than last time !

Well fingers crossed everything goes smoothly and good luck to you ladies and congratulations 💕

Hi OP just wanted to let you know that I had a chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks in February and conceived pretty much straight after (before AF) and I'm 19 weeks tomorrow :)
My bestie also suffered a chemical in May and conceived straight after (again, before AF) and is about 7 weeks now!
I've read a few women have experienced this and believe it happens because your body is more fertile aftering suffering chemical/MMC/MC.
Fingers crossed for a healthy, smooth sailing pregnancy for you :) & congratulations x

Mummy120494 · 16/07/2020 19:49

@Shawla92 congratulations! :) I've also heard that after a chemical pregnancy your less likely to have another one? Is this something you've heard?? It certainly seems that way with all
These women who have been through similar situations x

I feel your pain OP. I got my BFP yesterday at 11dpo and I'm so scared AF is gonna come and ruin it :( got another BFP on CBD today too.

I read it's 1in4 that results in a CP - SO FINGERS CROSSED for us!!!

Mummy120494 · 16/07/2020 23:49

@Bl0ndi3 hi there firstly congratulations on your BFP it really is horrible isn't it this waiting game I never had this anxiety with my first baby ! But because of what happened it's definitely put that doubt in my head !
I'm due my period today and I realised I was having a chemical pregnancy 3 day's after when the pregnancy line on the test got lighter and eventually was nothing !
I keep testing it's like an addiction just too see the line there ! I just hope and prey that this time it stays put ! Good luck to you I hope you have a positive outcome! X

Hi there,

I had a missed miscarriage in sep last year.

Then a chemical in december and another in march, however I have another BFP straight after the one in march.

I am currently 16 +6 and all is going well so far.
I started spotting at just under 5weeks and obviously thought it was another CP, but went onto see hwart beat at 7 weeks.. despite still spotting on and off l.

Fingers crossed for you, it is so hard after a loss.

X

Bl0ndi3 · 17/07/2020 06:55

@Mummy120494 I'm the same I am testing obsessively hoping to see a stronger line! I'm really worried because my test lines are not getting darker (not lighter either tho!) 😬 I've done one each day for 3 days

Please will someone reassure me!

Mummy120494 · 17/07/2020 07:52

Yes obsessed is definitely the word to use 😂 I've been using first response 6 days before my period and i used a cheap shitty one today which didn't show up at all a few days ago as you can see the line is darker now ! I can't stop testing and Ino it's not good but it kinda gives me that piece of mind . Plus it's how I found out about my CP because the lines got lighter as the days went on but so far it's got darker since the first day just hope it keeps getting darker!

Please will someone reassure me!

Mummy120494 · 17/07/2020 07:55

@Bl0ndi3 really we need to stop this obsessive testing and just let nature do it's bit I'm going to try not to test now until Monday and see the difference! And yours is still dark I wouldn't worry about it yet I think we will get through this !

OP posts:
Bl0ndi3 · 17/07/2020 08:01

@Mummy120494 haha yes we are definitely obsessed. But I agree, no more, I am going to get more tests today but will wait to test (or at least try) haha

As of right now we are pregnant so we should just accept that haha! I'm going to just try and relax might even tell OH today. Might help it feel real because atm it doesn't!

Bl0ndi3 · 18/07/2020 10:39

@Mummy120494 have you stayed strong? How are you feeling? X

Mummy120494 · 18/07/2020 15:53

@Bl0ndi3 hi hope your well !havnt tested as of yet ! So staying strong haha dying to do one though but don't want to be disappointed if the lines the same darkness or if it's gone lighter! It took 3 days after my period was due before I realised I was having a CP so if I leave it until Monday it surely must of gone darker by then ? I'm feeling a lot better this time around though my boobs are slightly sore and not to be crude but have had a lot of trapped wind which I had with my first son ! I just hope and pray this little one stays put for you aswel I hope we both get through the first initial few weeks because they are the worst ! X

OP posts:
Mummy120494 · 18/07/2020 15:55

@Bl0ndi3 I guess we both just have to stay positive , most pregnancy's do pull through it's only 30% I believe that end in miscarriage and plus I read if you've already had a CP your less likely to have another so staying very hopeful :) x

@Bl0ndi3 ok so I caved In I couldn't do it anymore I've taken another test ! But I'm pretty pleased with the results it's certainly got darker this is 16DPO compared to the others I would say it was much darker ! Sorry I wasn't strong enough to hold out I'm to weak 😩

Please will someone reassure me!

@Mummy120494 haha don't worry I caved too and tested just with a cheapie tho seems stronger to me so happy but got a FRER to use tomorrow to compare to the one I did yesterday 🙈🤣

That's a really good strong line, hopefully we can both relax now? Xx

Please will someone reassure me!
Mummy120494 · 18/07/2020 22:30

@Bl0ndi3 haha 😂 god we're terrible! Yeah the FREr tests are all I've used apart from a few cheapies when Ive ran out ! Lol that's a really nice strong line I think we're both possibly going to be ok ! It's certainly darker than when I had the CP x

@Mummy120494 Hi, I had a chemical pregnancy - although I hate that term - over 2 years ago now. It absolutely devastated me. Even though it was only a matter of days, I was so happy and never envisaged anything happened and then all of a sudden it did. I remember crying and saying that I can never get pregnancy again if it hurts this much.
Anyway, I’m currently 27+4 and although I was extremely anxious in the early days and sometimes I still have panics everything seems to be going well with this pregnancy and I’m loving being pregnant and feeling my baby girl move. You’ll be ok, try and think positively, I know it’s hard but what will be will be and right now you’re carrying a little one who needs their mummy to be strong and have faith in them too. Sending lots of love x

Prettylittlelady · 19/07/2020 07:25

Excuse my typos! Sorry!

Bl0ndi3 · 19/07/2020 08:24

@Mummy120494 hahahahaha yes we are! Well for the sake of completeness I took my second FRER this morning and I think it's a stronger line (top 13dpo and bottom 15dpo) so I am officially done testing (she says) and just going to relax and ring the midwives tomorrow to book in. 1st for me so it's all totally new and overwhelming.

Please will someone reassure me!
Mummy120494 · 19/07/2020 08:58

@Bl0ndi3 aww yeah I would definitely get yourself referred with midwifes ! All I'll say is try to enjoy it it's one hell of a rollercoaster haha 😂 but the outcome is amazing one of the greatest things you'll ever do and once you've had sprog you'll swear you'll never do it again ohh but you will haha 😂 you'll still do more tests I did with my first even at like 12 weeks before my first scan haha it's a long old wait until then it really grates on your but when you see that little heart beat for the first time it's honestly the best feeling ! :) best of luck to you and keep me updated :) x
