Okay I'm still super nervous but time to take the plunge and started a Grad bus for the recent BFPs from the main thread. According to NHS calculator I'm due 18th March and it's #1 for me 😬

@2020mission hope all goes well this morning x

@SmileyT you're exactly right it is just the luck of the draw as to how the birth goes but even if it is bad most of the time by 6 weeks later you feel loads better. After DS I thought I'd never be better again but I am and I'm doing it again so no matter how the birth goes and how crappy you feel in the few days later you will feel yourself again just takes a some ladies a bit longer than others. Some of my friends popped their kids out and felt great straight away it really is pot luck x

I also tried all the oils massage etc made zero difference to my birth. I also tried loads of stretch marks creams also made zero difference again with stretch marks it's determined by genetic factors so it's pot luck if you get them or not (I got lots on my lower tummy but I quite like them now - some of my friends had none and some had worse than mine) x

@SmileyT Don't get me wrong after the first one I felt like I had been hit by a bus - but that wasn't the tear. It was the piles and the heammorage (sp?) and the fact I hadn't slept for three days and needed transfusions. My fanny went back pretty quickly 😂

Second time I was up walking and normal bowel functions etc within hours. My bleeding stopped pretty quick. I had a little graze but again that healed really quick. Me and DH actually had sex after a week 😐

They were 8lbs and then 9lbs! (So this one will probably be 10lbs!) and I don't have a bucket hole as far as my husband says. I am doing pelvic floor squeezes though lol.

But then my friend had a 5lb baby and it ripped her wide open front to back so I guess it's more based on genetics and build.

Although I swear by EPO and would definitely use it again this time.

@SmileyT About work they said the current advise is just business as usual with the precautions such as increased handwashing and social distancing (I teach Year 2 which is 6 and 7 year olds so good luck there 🤣). I can’t exactly work from home as a teacher, well I mean I did through lockdown while the kids were all at home and accessing online learning (not that there was a huge take home) but once they’re all back in school I can’t. They would have to cover my class with supply teacher and I’d do other jobs at home I suppose, paperwork and plans etc. But yeah, business as usual for now. A friend of my sister’s who is also a teacher is due in October and I feel like she’s just (unknowingly) timed it so well- basically at home on full pay through the entire 2nd trimester (she was 14 weeks at school closure in March) and will now go back for 6 weeks then start her maternity leave 😁

zippityzip · 13/08/2020 07:55

@Cocoblue22 Oh stretch marks. You're so right I had SHARES in bio oil and I'm still covered from my boobs to my knees.

A derma roller helped though!

2020mission · 13/08/2020 07:58

My test this morning is much fainter than the test 3 days ago, so looks like I'm having a chemical. I knew it was to good to be true. See the photo, top to bottom:

@LittleRa I would have chosen the same hospital 😘
So I always feel sicky when I go to bed, and realised its also when I take my multivitamins. Anybody else feel sicky taking them? Mine are pregnacare. Going to take at lunchtime today to test if that helps.

blodyn91 · 13/08/2020 08:05

@2020mission Are you bleeding any heavier? I can't even imagine what its like. Will you call the doctors? Any chance HCG levels are just a bit low? Sending you all the hugs! xx

2020mission · 13/08/2020 08:09

@blodyn91 the full bleed isn't here yet but going by last time it took a day after a faint test for it to kick in. Last time it was like a period but with more tiny clot bits and worse cramps. That's 2 chemicals now so I think there's definitely something wrong with me. 🥺

Mococo1 · 13/08/2020 08:26

@SmileyT I'm so sorry your manager sounds bloody awful! Can understand you being anxious about telling her but once you've told her then you can breathe a sigh of relief - the way I think of it she would have to know at some point!- besides if she's a cow about it you can go to go to HR and they will decide what's best in terms of working!

@2020mission I'm sending you so so many hugs lovely lady! I'm so sorrry if this turns out to be another CP for you, and at this stage please do not think anything is wrong with you ♥️ if you have anymore tests and no more bleeding I would test tomorrow as well x

there's a couple of things I did different this time round after my MCs, I'm not out of the woods yet but I'm happy to share if you ever need to know for the future xxx

zippityzip · 13/08/2020 08:26

@2020mission Is there any chance you can just be more hydrated etc. The hook effect? I'm sorry I'm just trying to think of other reasons.
There is nothing wrong with you. When will you know for sure can you have bloods done?

Sausage1990 · 13/08/2020 08:41

Oh I'm so sorry @2020mission I know how horrible it feels. Sending you so much love. 💕💕💕💕 Like the others said, if you don't have any bleeding hut do have more tests I'd test again in a few days just in case. 🤞🏻

Cocoblue22 · 13/08/2020 08:46

@blodyn91 I take mine straight after my breakfast try taking them with food it should help x

@2020mission could it be more dilute urine? I really hope it's not a chemical for you, big hugs ☹️ if it is I'm sure there's nothing wrong with you and it's just awful luck (I know that won't make you feel any better I'm so sorry this is happening to you) x

@SmileyT that manager does sound like a bit of a dragon! Can't believe she said that to you about OH how rude! She needs a filter x

2020mission · 13/08/2020 08:51

I doubt it's the hook effect, I'm still spotting and my test on Monday hadn't progressed much so it was already looking bad then.

Please do share any tips you have for preventing a MC! I'm just feeling lost now. I feel like I can't go to the GP as I'll get the whole "it's just chromosome abnormalities and it happens" but I don't know how many more of these I can take. It's just torture to spend a week thinking you've started your family and then it's gone. I know some people have it so much worse having got further along on their journey before it happens. I feel like I'm really letting my husband down as it's my body that's not working.

Sausage1990 · 13/08/2020 09:20

@2020mission oh hun you're not letting anyone down. It's just so so cruel. I don't know if this is relevant but my LP was on the shorter side so started focusing on taking things to improve that and decided to try higher dose vitamin C. In studies I'd read 1000mg a day was used but as there was already some in my pregnacare I just added on 500mg. And another things was I really really worked on my anxiety. My cycles were allover the place tho and really impacted by stress. Working on that over a few months helped significantly plus actively trying to avoid googling and obsessing over it all. It was hard but I'm getting better at it. I don't know if any of this is helpful but it's what has helped me so far this time having ahd a CP last time.
Sending you a huge virtual hug xx

Mococo1 · 13/08/2020 09:22

@2020mission noooh don't be so silly ! You can defo try going to your gp to get those 21day bloods? (Although I'm not sure exactly what they are for) GPS seem to dismiss women who have actually made it as far as getting a positive pregnancy test which is really annoying!

A loss is a loss so please don't disregard your own feelings that way and you aren't letting DH down love 💕 ❤️ I'm sure he will be questioning himself too it's just natural to feel that way under these circumstances

I'm not sure if they worked any better but I took things like progesterone cream, COQ10, Vit C, B6 & magnesium, + the normal conception vitamins, red raspberry leaf tea before ovulation to get my eggs in good shape incase they weren't good ones

More importantly which is the worst thing to say it could just be very very bad luck ☹️.

I'm still not convinced you're out until the witch properly turns up so don't lose all hope just yet- I'm praying for a little miracle to happen for you ❤️

at the same time can understand how worrying this situation can be for you. If there is anything we ladies can do to help ease your worries let us know pleaseeeee xxx

Mococo1 · 13/08/2020 09:42

@2020mission Sorry love I meant don't be silly about thinking anything is wrong with you xxx

LittleRa · 13/08/2020 11:36

Hope you’re ok @2020mission 💕

2020mission · 13/08/2020 12:35

Thanks for all the support ladies 💕 I'll be back here soon to join you all again, with a new test date. Just need to take myself away for a couple of days to let it sink in.

2020mission · 13/08/2020 12:36

Sorry I didn't mean I'd be back HERE soon. I meant back on Mumsnet on the original TTC bus! Sorry my head is all over the place today.

zippityzip · 13/08/2020 12:48

Oh @2020mission I'm sorry to hear that but understand why. Please check in and let us know how you are. I'll be thinking of you xxx

samilicious · 13/08/2020 13:28

@Sausage1990 I had a month of sick, came back about 2 weeks ago so I'm with you on the setting boundaries front. Came back with a new boss, more responsibility and same money (well, they stopped the Covid temporary pay cut... but I'm not counting that as a pay rise 🙄).

My company also made loads of people redundant, hit rate for mat leave redundancy must be 40% of women who bet last few years. So bad, don't know how they get away with it tbh cuz I'm sure it's kinda illegal. I'm not telling my new boss until the final day before the legal cut off, otherwise he'll count me out of future plans and job will be at risk in future. Not his fault, just the company. And it's fuel cards... making lots of money for trillionaire oil people and we get treated crap but it's better than no job 💩

@blodyn91 I feel sicky smelling my multi vits 🤢 nothing else makes me feel like that other than morning heat when I haven't had water yet. Mine are Cytoplan and they're MASSIVE

samilicious · 13/08/2020 13:33

@2020mission I'm so sorry :( it's the worst feeling, I felt the same about letting my OH and family down. Easier said than done but don't compare yourself to others - it may have been just a week but it was a week which changed the rest of your life - you need to grieve that properly if this is a CP/MC ❤️

@SmileyT your boss sounds awful! What a thing to say

LittleRa · 13/08/2020 13:43

I’ve had my 12 week scan appointment through for 1st September 🥰

Sausage1990 · 13/08/2020 13:44

Gosh you boss sounds horrible @SmileyT - I don't blame you for wanting to wait until later in the pregnancy to share the news. Same for you @samilicious. It is awful that they make people redundant in mat leave, I'm sure it is illegal.

I think I'd like to wait until at least having an early scan around the 8 week mark, ideally longer if possible, but i will probably have to tell them before 12 weeks because knowing my luck the appointment will be when I've already got my own clinic running or something haha.

Oh also I did the clearblue weeks indicator test this morning because I'm impatient lol and it said 2-3 weeks which I'm really pleased with for 16dpo 😊

Sausage1990 · 13/08/2020 13:45

@LittleRa ooooohhh how exciting!!!!
