@IshaPoet that’s great news your scan went well.

@Bubbabee lovely pic

IshaPoet · 28/07/2020 23:00

@Bubbabee honestly I feel like shit my back and whole body hurts but I've just gotten the girls to sleep so I'm going to go as well. I've been up since 6 with lil woman as she couldn't get down last night as it was the first night with the dickhead, but it looks like the fresh air and her medicine are working a little bit. So I just have to keep my fingers crossed that she doses off soon so I can get some well deserved rest

dixiedo · 29/07/2020 00:01

@Bubbabee awwwww a little girl ❤️ congratulations xxxx

T2020 · 29/07/2020 08:18

@Bubbabee how exciting!!! We have booked a private scan for two weeks time to find out the gender, I can't wait!

mummasoph · 29/07/2020 11:59

@IshaPoet so sorry to hear you've been having it so tough with your partner, all you can do is take one day at a time. Stay strong and remember you deserve love, support and happiness. I'm glad the baby is ok, thinking of you. 😘

@Bubbabee wow amazing pic, congratulations on your little baby girl 💖

@T2020 I also have my gender scan booked for 2 weeks on Saturday! I cannot wait 🤩

Bubbabee · 29/07/2020 15:20

Thank you all 💗

Bubbabee · 29/07/2020 15:20

@IshaPoet hope you managed some rest and are feeling better today x

MeganC104 · 29/07/2020 15:47

@StephS1984

Has anyone started booking antenatal courses or have been on any before. What do you recommend?

I’ve found 2 types of nct courses locally that are in person in November and I know my hospital did have them prior to COVID 19, but now they are on Facebook videos and not sure when there will be in person ones.

I asked my midwife and she told me NHS ones weren't running. Looked at NCT but far too expensive. You'd think if free classes are not running, as a charity they'd try to help new mums out a bit, otherwise not sure where we get that support and help
IshaPoet · 30/07/2020 07:01

@mummasoph thank you babe just trying my best to get through the day.

@Bubbabee honestly I have been able to rest at all I'm just waiting for my support worker meeting on Monday bcos my landlord has let know they won't be renewing my tenacity so I'm not getting into the council that put me in private renting to bring me back into Camden so I can be closer to my friends so I can at least get some kind of help.

Sleep doesn't exist anymore and it's not even insomnia the indigestion and needing to pee had replaced having no symptoms. I did say I want to feel something so I know I'm pregnant so here it is 🤦🏽‍♀️ I should be careful of what i wish for lol

Maxdoggy · 30/07/2020 11:27

@IshaPoet sorry you’re having such a rough time. Just try to remember the joy you’ll feel when little one comes along.

I was wondering if anyone has started any pregnancy Pilates/yoga. I’d much prefer classes in person (eg outside or in gym). I’m based in SE London (East Dulwich) but as we’re probably scattered I supposed I’m hoping for online recommendations mostly. I do a lot of distance running usually but am beginning to slow down and probably need some strength work! Any advice ??

devilliams · 30/07/2020 12:00

Hope everyone is well. I’m just finally starting to get a bit more energy back now the sickness has stopped. I’m 17 weeks tomorrow.
Can I just ask about midwife appointments. I’ve only had one which was for my bloods etc that are taken during booking in appointment. I’ve had not other since. I thought we get another at 16 weeks ish but I haven’t heard anything. I have made contact with her, just awaiting a response. Did you all hear directing from your midwife?

TerribleImagination · 30/07/2020 12:08

@devilliams I’ve just had my 16 week appointment this morning, but I booked it myself after my dating scan. Your midwife should tell you what week you need an appointment for, but you’ll need to call up your GP surgery and book in for it yourself. Hope that helps!

devilliams · 30/07/2020 12:23

@TerribleImagination Thank you. I’m in Scotland and it’s all done through an app. I also have a number to message / phone my midwife. I’ve done this so just waiting on her getting back to me.

Carabu1 · 30/07/2020 14:05

@devilliams I had to book my 16 week one myself. Tbh not sure what the point of it was though, as all appts are still by phone so they can't really do anything like check bloods or whatever.

devilliams · 30/07/2020 14:29

@Carabu1 thank you. I’ll wait and see if she gets back to me.

lydiangel83 · 30/07/2020 21:42

@devilliams I got my 16 wk phone call a co echoed when I had my booking in spot, midwife set it up. I'd ring and chase though not sure of point of it!

lydiangel83 · 30/07/2020 21:43

@Maxdoggy I used to run a lot but now struggling with a 5km run/ walk! I've got a risk condition that may impact baby's growth so trying to be a bit careful. I'd say there must be some outdoor classes in SE London, good luck with them x

StephS1984 · 31/07/2020 20:25

How is everyone feeling today with this absolute scorcher of a day?

Last night , it was hard to sleep with the heat, but generally didn’t feel too bad with the temperature, now that morning sickness is lessening.

17+3

BabyG123 · 31/07/2020 21:13

@StephS1984 not too bad. Nausea is easing. Sinus issue is terrible with migraines too.

Saw the midwife today listened to the heart beat, she suggested calling the doctor for pregnancy friendly medication.

Doctor offered paracetamol cocodamol but said baby would be born addicted and need weaning off. I'd rather just have the headaches!

Hope everyone else is ok!

Finally managed to book a gender scan for next Saturday can't wait! Partner is excited as he hasn't seen him/her yet as our hospital still isn't letting partners attend 😔 xx

lydiangel83 · 31/07/2020 22:10

Not slept well for weeks I am a zombie!

Bubbabee · 31/07/2020 22:47

Hi all,

I've been in hospital again with a worse bleed than last time. Lost a clot the size of my palm and was quite thick. Hospital nearly kept me in but after and internal she didn't see any fresh blood so decided o could go home. I've been put on some hormone tablets until 34 weeks to see if the bleeding settles. She's worried about the amount of blood I'm losing too. Had more bloods and another anti D (which hurts like hell) haha. Baby Girl is fine.
At my 20week scan they are going to look where my placenta is lying and if there's any clots in my womb. She not sure if this medication will work but worth a try! Decided I'm
Going to write a diary about my experience already as it's been a rollercoaster 😂😂.. hope everyone else is ok and enjoyed the heat. I sat for 10 minutes and was too warm.

17+2 😍

Bubbabee · 31/07/2020 22:49

@lydiangel83 I feel you on the sleep. Hope it settles soon for you x
