Nearing the end of bus 3 so here is bus 4!

11+5 feeling rougher than ever but excited what's to come

Is anyone else suffering with headaches at all?
I’m 15+4 and for the last couple of weeks I have been getting awful headaches which last for 2/3 days :-( I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same?

@Waitingandhoping1988 yea I do, started a few days ago, it's awful... I'm not taking any medication for it, I'm sure if there is any that are safe for baby...

@Waitingandhoping1988 I get headaches.. I've found really upping the water helps a bit, but also use 4head and if needed I take one paracetamol. I tend to have 1-2 headaches a week but I do normally find it's because of sun/dehydration.

@lilypad88 horrible isn’t it, the only thing I can do is lie down in the dark. I haven’t taken any medication either but I think I might have to try a paracetamol and see if that helps.

@Pol96 it’s probably the same for me to be honest, I do try and drink water but I know some days I’m probably not drinking enough - it does always seems to be worse when the weather is so muggy and stuffy!

Omg yes I’ve been getting terrible headaches and paracetamol doesn’t even touch it. Bit better today but they come and go. Must be hormonal?

Sorry I’ve been quiet for a while, work has been so busy and the rest of the time I’m trying to avoid the kids and lie in a dark room. But just had my scan and I’m 13+3, a few days ahead of what I expected. Couldn’t get the nuchal fold measurement so have to go back for the quad test. Now to start telling the world!!

@BabyG123 I had my scan a few weeks back, but on the photo they didn’t any measurements. However, they did give me a summary on a separate bit of A4, mine said 13+3 weeks and crl of 73.8mm. Hope that helps.

Not sure what that measurement is but my friend said OMG my boy was much smaller than that at this stage and I was like OMG I'm carrying a giant 🤣

@Sophiamel987 yes! By the evening I have a huge belly ! But in the morning look completely normal...
I’m also find it increasingly difficult to eat a large meal as the day goes on. I’m on holiday in France right now so am a bit devastated about this !! 🤣

I’ve now put it down as bump after speaking to my midwife. I’ve been like this for 8 weeks and has slightly got bigger I would say and comes from the top . The midwife assured me that some women can show early and then level out by 16 weeks so hoping this happens x

@Waitingandhoping1988 Yep I’ve had the headaches too! I think they’re pretty normal hormonal ones around this gestation. Paracetamol is totally fine to take. If they’re really bad, you’re fine to take co-codomol too. My best mate is a midwife and she told me to take codine and paracetamol for a bad back when I was in the first trimester, so it’s totally safe in pregnancy.

Headaches and congestion. Joyful stage. My nose feels like it's super swollen!

Side note- beats the nausea which seems to 🤞🏼 be going 15+1

Has anyone had any tongue ulcers since being pregnant, it’s really painful to vomit 🤮. I brought some bonjela, but it says not allowed to take while pregnant. 😞

StephS1984 Yes, I’ve got to give ulcers; therr t e really sore ! Luckily I’ve not been vomiting so it’s not so bad but they’re still very annoying ! Headaches also becoming a feature...
To be honest, I’ll happily take the side effects if all is ok with small person! My biggest issue is feeling anxious about everything turning out ok!

Headaches and nausea every night for me 😩.
I was in hospital again yesterday and I've now been diagnosed with ectropion. Gynaecologist last week should of picked it which I'm not happy about. I slept for the first time in weeks solidly last night too. Feeling alive today ha.. also had a clothes delivery which has made me happy. Hope all mummies are ok.

I googled it and it says when your eyelids turn inside out!? The images wasn't what I expected

Hi ladies! I’m 16wks and due in Jan. It’s been so lovely to hear how everyone is getting on each day. This might be a bit of an out there question but has anyone had a glass of wine/prosecco anything to drink at all during their pregnancy so far? We have a small wedding next week and I wasn’t sure if a celebratory glass of something would be okay? Xxx

Welcome @Brybump123! If not had any alcohol but I'm sure a very small glass of prosecco would be fine if you don't down it/have more than one..

Weight gain question.. I've been weighing myself weekly since finding out and I've lost weight. I'm still 5lbs under my start weight (not been sick but had very bad food aversions/nausea) I'm 14+2 today and I know it's common to loose weight in the first trimester, just wondering if anyone else hasn't gained/lost weight??

@Pol96 I've lost a stone compared to my pre-pregnancy weight and am 13+5 so you're not alone! I've had really bad sickness (on anti emetics now - I miss food so much), nausea and food aversions.

I lost a bit of weight in the first trimester, but now am 16 + 2 and have put on about 2 kgs. But that might be down to the fact I’m on holiday and overindulging...

Has anyone started booking antenatal courses or have been on any before. What do you recommend?

I’ve found 2 types of nct courses locally that are in person in November and I know my hospital did have them prior to COVID 19, but now they are on Facebook videos and not sure when there will be in person ones.
