Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

@bubblybon no! Nothing else - but it's quite painful ... But worse when I get up after sitting ... If it's there in the morning I'm going to call EPU I think - I don't have a midwife yet

@Smilingdonkey I'd call the EPU if you're worried, they're there to reassure you when needed. I'm sure it's just your body stretching and things moving

Ranoutofgoodnames · 04/07/2020 21:17

@Smilingdonkey yes call tomorrow for sure for reassurance I think xx

Smilingdonkey · 05/07/2020 08:38

The stitch pain has gone ... I have some lower back pain. Should I still call EPU? I have this sense of foreboding that something is wrong? 😭

@Smilingdonkey My stomach aches every time I stand up, it feels like a stitch like you described. I also got woken up by bad cramps last night. I think this is all normal TBH as I get aches and pains every time I'm pregnant.

Millymay13 · 05/07/2020 09:48

@Smilingdonkey I think it sounds like normal pains but I don’t think there’s any harm in ringing the EPU for them to tell you that. It might not put your mind at ease but it might help a bit? Whatever you think might help you feel less anxious is the thing to do

Smilingdonkey · 05/07/2020 09:56

@sakura54 that's reassuring thank you - I had round ligament pain early with my DD and MMC but nothing like this - I think it's the fact it's on one side that's worrying me.
@millymay I have just called 111 because the stitch is starting to come back and they have an out of outs triage service calling me back shortly.

Thanks ladies! I just can't relax thinking maybe something is wrong.

OP posts:
Ranoutofgoodnames · 05/07/2020 10:06

I felt like my aches and pains came on a bit quicker this time - for absolutely no scientific reason I have decided this is because my body was still used to being pregnant so it just snapped back into growing very quickly

Ranoutofgoodnames · 05/07/2020 10:07

@Smilingdonkey let us know how it goes xxx

Smilingdonkey · 05/07/2020 10:50

The stitch has gone again and now I have tight lower back ache. Doctor told me to go to A and E if stitch pain worsens and if it stays the same as now (much much less get yesterday) to call EPU in the morning.

I have lost all sense of perspective 😩

@Smilingdonkey hope everything's okay 🤞🏻

DanceM1 · 05/07/2020 14:18

Hi ladies, please can I join you?

I had a MMC in April and told myself that if i fell pregnant again I wouldn't look at mumsnet, talk about the pregnancy or even really acknowledge it (as much as possible) until my first scan to avoid being consumed with anxiety. However, trying to do all those things has not stopped the anxiety and reading your posts, I think I am in the same boat as a lot of you.

I am 5 weeks now. I have cramps (not really sure they're cramps but not sure how to explain it) in my hips and inner top thighs almost like really mild period pains...but a bit different. At first I felt reassured by this. I thought it could be a good sign of implantation and I didn't have anything like this with my last pregnancy. However, now I keep remembering the sonographer saying at my scan around 12 weeks "have you had any cramping?" And that's how I found out I had lost my baby. Now I can't stop worrying that its all going wrong again.

Has anybody had anything similar? Does anybody have a magic cure for anxiety?🤣 One more serious question... have you told anybody other than your partners? I told nobody last time at all but ended up telling close family and friends as soon as we found out about the MMC anyway. Now I'm wondering whether I should at least tell my mum so I can speak to somebody that has experienced pregnancy but I don't know if that's a bit selfish as I'm sure she will be anxious for me as well.

Sorry for the long, negative post! I am really happy. I realise that we are very lucky to have fallen pregnant so quickly again and as somebody said, I feel like my body is experiencing symptoms much sooner this time as maybe it remembers from last time?? I had no symptoms last time until 6 weeks x

bubblybon20 · 05/07/2020 14:46

@DanceM1 welcome to the group! Sorry about your MMC.
I wish we could all have the cure for anxieties 😅
I have had cramping for the past 3 days, some stronger than others. I am 5 weeks tomorrow but assuming all is okay, I've over tested for the past 2 weeks. Still waiting for my digital to confirm 3+

Also I have told my mum, I told her because like you say it's someone to understand a bit more and know exactly the struggles of it all!

DanceM1 · 05/07/2020 15:24

@bubblybon20 thank you!! I'm exactly the same as you..5 weeks tomorrow and have done the same with testing... going to test again midweek to see if I get 3+. So reassuring to hear from other people who are in the same position. Hope you are feeling OK!?

Sounds like a good plan telling your mum.. I may do the same x

bubblybon20 · 05/07/2020 15:36

@DanceM1 Yeah I think once I've had a test showing that il calm down. Although will still on edge until I've past 8 weeks, as that's when I suffered my MC.

I'm feeling okay, just random twinges abs aches in my lower abdomen. I had spotting the whole 8 weeks last pregnancy. Nothing thins time, so hoping that's a good sign personally for me.
Have you had any other symptoms? And how're you feeling? I'm hoping I get some, but may regret saying that 🤣

DanceM1 · 05/07/2020 17:46

@bubblybon20 yes me too.. I think ill be anxious until I have a healthy baby in my arms. I found out when I was 11+6 that baby had stopped growing at 6+6 so I think an early scan would reassure me for a little while.

That sounds positive for you!🤞I'm doing OK.. had odd bouts of nausea but mainly when I'm tired first thing in the morning or last thing at night. Also similar to you. Last time I had nothing at all until 6 weeks when I felt hungover all the time and my boobs suddenly felt really sore. I can already feel that they've grown a bit this time but its very early days yet!

I'm not good at waiting. I wish we could somehow see into the future to prepare ourselves either way!

Smilingdonkey · 05/07/2020 17:46

Hi ladies, I'm in the same boat. 5 +3 today and got a 2-3 on CB on Friday. Hopefully it will go up to 3+ if I test in the middle of next week. ICs are now equal in darkness to the control line so 🤞

God poor us having all this anxiety! I'm glad it's not just me though! Nice to have others at the same point as me 😊

My stitch has not really come back but I have this lower back ache which I think can be really common from 5-10 weeks apparently but it's panicking me when combined with yesterday's side pain. If it was ectopic do you think the side pain would be more constant?

Xxxxx

OP posts:
bubblybon20 · 05/07/2020 17:52

@Smilingdonkey I think if it was ectopic you would be in agony? And have a high temp.. that's going on what I've read previously tho! I have had a dull ache in my back a couple of times, mainly when I'm lying in bed.. so i would defo consider your pains normal as they do sound very similar to my own. X

Smilingdonkey · 05/07/2020 18:25

Thank you @bubblybon! That has made me feel so much better! I need to stop googling ectopic pregnancy as it seems - like everything gynaecological - to vary massively from case to case.
I need to focus on my scan in 12 days!

If I remember correctly last time the anxiety didn't ease until the point at which the baby would have some chance of survival if born (I want to say 24 weeks?!) things really did feel less fraught after that (ridiculous really.) So only 19 odd weeks to go ladies!

OP posts:
bubblybon20 · 05/07/2020 19:19

@Smilingdonkey when you put it like that, doesn't sound that long! 🙄🤣

ew1990 · 05/07/2020 20:38

Hows everyone doing? Welcome to our new joiners.

No symptoms for me still just a chin full of spots 😩

Didn't take me daily test today 😂 I'm on 2 13 hour shifts and have to be up at half 5. Don't even function before 9 so wasn't testing. And I must wake up for a week about 4 times between going to bed and waking up so I don't think FMU will be concentrated enough?

I may take another IC tomorrow. Still not used my FRER. I might save them for later in the week.

ew1990 · 05/07/2020 20:39

A wee not a week

bubblybon20 · 05/07/2020 21:31

@ew1990 how're you doing?
I think it's okay? I tend to wake up 2-3 times during the night and my tests have been good line. I think it doesn't really matter as much once's your a bit along, as the hcg would double ect. But I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

ew1990 · 05/07/2020 21:37

I'm good thanks. Keep going from excited to terrified.

If I get a decent sleep tonight I might test tomorrow. If not I'll do it Tuesday as I'm off work. Might do the FRER on Friday.

Ive got restless legs too which is keeping me up. It went after MMC but had appeared again. I had it with my first pregnancy but not untill 30ish weeks.

I had a chat with my boss today. She said don't let what had happened stop you from getting excited. And to try and take it easy.

Sorry for the essay. Hope you are doing ok?

bubblybon20 · 05/07/2020 22:45

@ew1990 yeah I feel a bit like that, it's like I really want to talk and plan and buy but I know deep down I can't do any of those things for a long time yet 😟
Yeah I'm feeling good actually, Thankyou :)
