Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

I seem to be the complete opposite to you all - I can't stop eating! Through the day it's carbs and sweet things and then come the evening I feel well enough to eat some form of vegetable, so that's when I try and get the majority of the nutrients in.

My husband also seems to be ignoring it overall - he's started talking about it a bit more over the last couple of days but generally it's head in the sand stuff. Agreed that it's impossible to ignore as the woman though - it's us feeling everything, worrying over everything and having to change our lifestyles.

I must say, I'm getting less and less nervous as time goes on but that in itself worries me, like I'm letting my guard down and I'm going to get really hurt. What a rollercoaster this all is.

bubblybon20 · 05/08/2020 17:21

My appetite is okay, just have random moments of fancying really sweet sweets 🙈 literally be rolling around soon! But they I could easily skip lunch.. but one things is no matter how big my dinner is in the evening, i feel so so hungry in the morning! 😖

As for partners/husbands. Mine has been talking a fair bit as he seems excited now we've had a scan, but also his gone really touchy feely, which He hasn't ever been really.. I've probably noticed more because I'm so tired. He finishes work most nights at 10pm and by the time I've settled the kids I tend to just get ready for bed at 9ish 🙈🙈 and anything is really last on my mind. I feel like I've turned into a prude! 🤦🏻‍♀️ obviously I know a man has needs and stuff but I just don't feel like anything until we are past the 3 month mark😅

Hiya! Just found this group, hope I'm okay to join and I hope I stick around! Some of you already know I had a MMC at 12 weeks in April, and a CP in June. I'm now 5.1 weeks with another one! This one is due around 6th April, which is the day we lost my partners mum, but also only days after we would have lost the first pregnancy this year.

Fingers crossed! 🤞

Riggles78 · 05/08/2020 17:43

Hi everyone! Can I join too?
My MMC was in January followed by an early loss in April. Conceived immediately after though and am now 11 weeks today ☺️
Have been very anxious this time after the previous experiences, went for a private scan at 8 weeks and saw the little bean and heartbeat which was encouraging, but then spent the last 3 weeks equally as anxious waiting for the dating scan. Was convinced something would go wrong between now and then.
As I technically didn’t have an LMP to go off, the midwife got me in slightly earlier for a dating scan which we had yesterday putting me at 10+6. So surreal to see a little bean wriggling around on the screen! Sad that OH couldn’t be there though, I think he was just a nervous as me waiting for a text to say either way.
Sonographer said I was just a little too early for the screening tests so they are having me back in 2 weeks for the NT and blood tests.
Still doesn’t really feel like it’s properly real yet though!

Could I also join this thread? I've been scared to sign up to my birth month thread as I'm so anxious about tempting fate and I'm sure you ladies understand.
I had 2 MMCs and a blighted ovum in the last 3 years and am now 11 weeks pregnant - with twins! I have my 12 week scan next Wednesday but have been a ball of nerves since my early scan at 7 weeks, sure that something is going to go wrong even though saw heartbeats at 9 weeks. Reading through the posts you all seem
lovely and I can identify with so much of what you are saying! @Riggles78 what a lovely scan pic! x

bubblybon20 · 05/08/2020 18:41

@Riggles78 really sorry for your losses, but massive congratulations, and what a lovely clear picture! I am currently 10+2 going off my early scan I had in Sunday! It still feels really far the next 2 weeks doesn't it, I haven't received my dating scan appointment yet either! 😫

@JennyMY really sorry to hear of your losses! And I'm sure we can totally relate to the anxieties that come with the journey. But hopefully been in the thread will help slightly! But omg twins! How exciting!! Congratulations! 😀

bubblybon20 · 05/08/2020 18:50

Sorry @RosieJess91 just realised I missed you out 🤦🏻‍♀️ sorry for your losses, but congratulations on your new pregnancy! 💕

JennyMY · 05/08/2020 20:09

Thanks @bubblybon20 - yes, it was a big surprise! One of them has been measuring a bit smaller than the other so I'm praying all progresses well.
I had to really push to speak to a midwife, get a booking in appointment or have my early scan even though I was in the bracket that needs to have one. The EPU at my local hospital is closed because of Covid, and the midwife connected to my GP surgery is on annual leave. But after the booking in call I got my 22 and 20 wk scan dates through within days. To tell you it could take up to 3 weeks is excessive, keep on at them! X

JennyMY · 05/08/2020 20:10

*12 not 22 week scan!!

bubblybon20 · 05/08/2020 20:42

@JennyMY 🤞🏻 for you that they'll catch up! Yes I'm going to keep trying to push. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow so will defo mention it! Just really glad I went for an early scan! 🤣

SkyBlue20 · 05/08/2020 20:45

@bubblybon20 With you on waiting until after the three month mark for any of that. Luckily, my husband feels the same but I do still find myself feeling guilty at times 🤦🏻‍♀️

Welcome @RosieJess91, I’m so sorry for your losses 💕 Fingers crossed for this one - would be lovely to have some nice news around such a sad time for you.

@Riggles78 Welcome and so sorry for your losses. What a lovely scan, must have been nice to see. Not long until you’re out of this awful first trimester!

@JennyMY Welcome and so very sorry for your losses. Congratulations on your twins, that’s so exciting! Do they run in your family? I would LOVE twins, keep saying to my husband that I hope we have some although there are none in our families so very unlikely (but not impossible!) I’m sure I read you’re more likely to have twins after a miscarriage?! Can only imagine the added anxiety though, I hope next Wednesday rolls around quickly for you.

Having some very slight cramping tonight. Trying to not read too much in to it or worry but it’s definitely on my mind. It’s so weird, for the most part I keep feeling like I haven’t been at this stage of pregnancy before and almost like I’m past the danger zone but I have and I’m not - baby actually stopped growing at nine weeks last time and I hit nine weeks on Sunday, so every now and then I remember that and it worries me so much. Eleven days until my early scan... 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

ew1990 · 05/08/2020 22:29

Welcome and congratulations to our new ladies. ❤ it's a hard road these first 12 weeks but we will get through it.

@skyblue20 mine stopped growing last time at 9+1. It's so hard not to compare isn't it. I have negative thoughts all the time although I'm trying to be positive 😊 12 weeks cannot come quick enough

ew1990 · 05/08/2020 22:31

And I had some brown mixed with discharge around tea time. When I had a scan at 5 week he said I had a hemmorage (sp) of blood So I might bleed but then at the last scan he said it had gone. Im Just trying not to think about it. I know brown means old blood

bubblybon20 · 05/08/2020 22:42

@ew1990 I got told at my scan on Sunday I have a sub hematoma. And asked if I had any spotting or anything, she said I may experience some or it could completely vanish. So have been a little on edge since then!

Could have just been a tiny amount left, that's worked it's way out! And like you say if it's brown then it's old. X

ew1990 · 05/08/2020 22:46

Yeah it's not really worried me. I had bleeding with DD and everything was fine. I had none whatsoever with the MMC.

bubblybon20 · 05/08/2020 22:47

@ew1990 It's weird isn't it how it is, I had no bleeding at all with either of my sons, but had spotting/bleeding all the way through with me MC.

ew1990 · 05/08/2020 23:06

Yes. I had no symptoms whatsoever with DD. And loads of Intense cramping and bleeding.

Yet with Mc I had no real pain no bleeding. Really sore boobs and horrendous morning sickness. It really is weird.

SkyBlue20 · 06/08/2020 06:22

Morning!

@ew1990 Definitely sounds like old blood. Hard not to worry, I know, but hopefully it was a one off and all is ok xx

I’ve been awake since 4:30am, cannot get back to sleep and my alarm is due to go off in an hour 😫 Wouldn’t mind but I went to bed relatively early so I could be rested but my body clearly hated that plan. Might get up and watch some telly.

ew1990 · 06/08/2020 06:40

@skyblue20 waking up early is the worst! I remember the 3rd trimester insomnia. That Was a killer! Hope you managed to drop back off

SkyBlue20 · 06/08/2020 07:21

@ew1990 Oh God, it gets worse?! 🙈 Didn’t manage to nod back off, unfortunately - now on the sofa, eating breakfast and watching Netflix. A lunchtime nap may be called for today!

ew1990 · 06/08/2020 07:28

Hopefully not for you. Yes a lunchtime nap sounds like a plan. I have to have a nap regardless of how I've slept. But my anti sickness meds make me really sleepy if i take one. I'm not going to be able to have them when I'm back in work

SkyBlue20 · 06/08/2020 07:39

It’s crazy how much it takes out of you so early on, isn’t it?! When are you back to work? X

bubblybon20 · 06/08/2020 07:39

@ew1990 hope your scan goes well this morning :)

SkyBlue20 · 06/08/2020 07:40

Yes, good luck, @ew1990! Did you say it’s at 8am? Not long to go!

ew1990 · 06/08/2020 07:44

@skyblue20 on Sunday.

Thank you girls yeah 8am. But last time I didn't get seen till ten to 9.
