Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

Thanks @Bubblybon20, that's really reassuring. I haven't booked a private scan, no - I wasn't sure about one and was going to see how it goes but if my symptoms aren't back in a few days, I might look at getting one booked in. I was so chill about all of this until today! Stupid thing is, I have still been a bit nauseous, just not AS nauseous 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Noble89 That's ridiculous! Who had told you you would get the early scan, can you go back to them and push for it? It's a medical need! Could you ring the EPU directly and speak to them? Otherwise, I guess a last resort could be a private scan, but I'm not even sure if they do exactly what you need as I guess they'd be looking for something very specific? What did your midwife say about it other than they wouldn't do it? Hope you manage to get it sorted!

bubblybon20 · 24/07/2020 14:19

Has anyone come out in pimples on their faces?! Honestly like I feel like I'm 13 again with all these spots appearing 😫🙈

bubblybon20 · 24/07/2020 14:21

@SkyBlue20 honestly it's completely normal to watch all symptoms. I've had some things that I'm classing as symptoms and probably ain't even any. I didn't have any symptoms with my previous pregnancies. Just some cramping. But with my MC I had really bad sick in my throat, and heartburn. It doesn't always mean the worst. But if you are feeling a bit worried, then you should consider a scan. Just for your own piece of mind. X

bubblybon20 · 24/07/2020 14:22

@DanceM1 did you ring up regarding your scan this weekend? X

swishswashswoosh · 24/07/2020 14:39

Great news on your scans @Smilingdonkey @ew1990, relief for now at least.

@Noble89 that is ridiculous albeit I had similar the pregnancy after mine. They basically said they wouldn't book one but the midwife also slyly said just turn up with any paperwork I had regarding it and they would scan me there and then. Which is exactly what happened. I was 6+4 from memory and they could see everything and essentially crossed any issues that may potentially be from the molar with that. This was obviously a long time pre-pandemic though!

@SkyBlue20 hope you get some positive vibes.

I'm struggling today, I have a scan next Wednesday but I realised today that the consultant I was under only prescribed me enough cyclogest to get me to that point. The rational side of my brain says it's because if something is wrong then I won't have wasted money on the prescription (annoyingly private), but the emotional one says it's because he is convinced it won't be a successful pregnancy. He did say 2 weeks before I found out (a day or so before I ovulated by estimation) it would be a medical miracle if I did fall pregnant given how thin my endometrium was so he is probably right, the progesterone is quite possibly just stopping it all ending naturally. 😭

SkyBlue20 · 24/07/2020 15:35

@bubblybon20 You're right - the logical part of my brain knows they don't mean anything but it's so hard not to overthink it. Husband keeps telling me to stop it and not worry myself but I just can't turn my mind off to it. I'm ok though, although I'm aware of it and slightly worried, I'm not panicking and am fully aware that they could be back with a vengeance tomorrow so I'm going to see how the next few days go first - I don't think I need to book a scan just yet but will see how I go.
I'm covered in spots, you're not alone! My forehead was awful from about two days before I got my BFP but that's calming down now, however I also have a fair few around my jaw line. I'm so attractive right now 😂

@swishswashswoosh Sending love. I'm sure they just prescribed enough to get to that point and then will assess what you need after that. Everything could be absolutely fine - your lining can keep thickening, I'm sure. Got my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

bubblybon20 · 24/07/2020 15:44

@SkyBlue20 it's so hard not to stress, just try stay as positive as you can 💕
And yes I have them on my chin 😫 not glam! 🤣🤣

Noble89 · 24/07/2020 16:10

@SkyBlue20 the specialists in Sheffield who dealt with my molar said it was needed but I love in Newcastle so having to travel to Sheffield for a scan would be ridiculous! The EPU are the ones saying no, my midwife wants me to have it. She did say they're reviewing the policy on the 1st of August so I think I'll wait until then and try again. If they still say no then I'll ask Sheffield to call them and explain this is medically necessary. I mean I'm praying it's not but imagine if this was another molar and I got cancer because they're refusing to check?!? It's ridiculous!

@swishswashswoosh honestly if it comes down to it I'll just lie and say I'm having pain. That's what's so ridiculous, they outright said if there's pain or bleeding they'll do an early scan as that's an 'emergency' but they're insisting what I'm asking for is just for reassurance.

@bubblybon20 yes! I never get spots usually, I'm really lucky like that. But my last pregnancy and again this time my chest and back are covered in little pimples. It's very annoying!

SkyBlue20 · 24/07/2020 19:59

@Noble89 Fingers crossed for 1st August! 🤞🏼 Otherwise, definitely ask Sheffield to call or yes, just lie and say you’re in pain - it’s ridiculous they just outrightly said no!

ew1990 · 24/07/2020 21:51

@noble I agree if nothing's happened on 1st of August I would just say you have pain or bleeding. It's ridiculous that they won't see You!

Yep ladies I'm covered in spots. 2 on my forehead and loads on my chin and jawline. Wasn't like this last time but I was with DD.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I slept for like 12 hours last night and couldve easily had a nap this afternoon 😴

SkyBlue20 · 25/07/2020 09:25

Morning all!

Even less symptoms today, now I’m starting to worry 😥 Nothing I can do though except hope for the best and see how it goes. Might potentially book a scan for next weekend, when I’ll be approaching eight weeks, will see how the next few days go...

bubblybon20 · 25/07/2020 09:38

Morning @SkyBlue20 sorry you feel worried :(
My boobs have also stopped hurting completely today 🤦🏻‍♀️ hoping they return again in a few days, I'm also booking my private scan for next Sunday hopefully 🤞🏻
Try not to worry too much, and try stay positive 💕

SmileyT · 25/07/2020 09:54

@SkyBlue20 ahh I'm sorry you are feeling worried, I don't know if it's something that you are into, but have you tried meditation or positive affirmations. I've found it's helped with turning my head around when feeling a bit low, as you say there is nothing we can do either way but I've found it just helped to snap myself out of a negative mindset. Do you have anything nice planned this weekend to keep you occupied? x

@ew1990 also very jealous of your 12hrs sleep and nap... the insomnia is killing me, definitely better at the weekend when I'm not in the office and can nap during the day 😂

bubblybon20 · 25/07/2020 10:02

@SkyBlue20 if you're anything like myself and google stuff 🙄🤣 I've just found this, I have read a few things that say they can come and go during the first early stages.

Pregnant after Missed Miscarriage MMC
DanceM1 · 25/07/2020 12:56

Hi ladies, hope you are all OK.

@Noble89 I really hope you get your scan, that just seems crazy that they won't even look into it further. Could you not just turn up? My sisters friend used to do it all the time when she was pregnant and they would always end up scanning her!

@bubblybon20 I did ask about the scan yes..its tomorrow.. they said they do abdominal scans from 6 weeks so it will be clear enough (I should be 7+6). I'm not convinced and a complete and utter nervous wreck to be honest. I've really struggled this week since booking the scan but I guess we will know either way tomorrow!

@SkyBlue20 hope you're OK! Try not to worry.. as others have said, and I'm sure you already know, its completely normal for symptoms to come and go. I haven't really had many symptoms this time (less than with MMC I think) so that's worried me but I also think symptoms weren't a positive sign for me last time so I'm trying not to dwell on it! Having a scan seems to have been useful for others so maybe that is a good idea xx

SkyBlue20 · 25/07/2020 13:02

Thanks both. Trying not to dwell on anything and I certainly still don’t feel 100% normal so clinging on to that. Off to meet some friends this evening for beer garden drinks (I’m driving so have my excuse lined up!) so that’ll be a nice distraction. I also had quite a good sleep last night and read that symptoms can be worse when you’re tired so clinging on to that also. That Google post is good too, thanks @bubblybon20!

Husband and I are selling a bit of furniture and before we confirmed a sale just had to have a bit of a try out to see if another piece would fit in to what would be the nursery so had a moment where we were just discussing the nursery and how it would be. It’s obviously very early and felt very weird but it was nice to circle back to that conversation that we’d had last time. Won’t be doing it again until much later and we know everything is ok but had to do it now and it was nice to have two mins of dreaming of what could be 🤞🏼🥰

What’s everyone up to this weekend? I just have drinks tonight and then tomorrow is a big organise of the kitchen - just had a bit of work done to it and now need to get it in order. Am actually quite looking forward to it, I hate clutter!

SkyBlue20 · 25/07/2020 13:04

Thanks @DanceM1 - it’s so true, you can’t rely on symptoms as a marker, it’s just hard to remind your head of that sometimes 😂 Hope your scan goes well tomorrow 💕

bubblybon20 · 25/07/2020 13:39

@DanceM1 that's reassuring! Hopefully be clear enough for you! 💖

ew1990 · 25/07/2020 15:19

@dancem1 good luck for tomorrow

@skyblue20 I've had no sickness now for 2 days. I'm hoping it comes back but then I don't want it to because it was awful 😣

I'm not stressing about the symptoms coming and going. There's nothing I can do about them.
Had a letter today from my scan that they've sent to my GP too. The 2 cysts on my left ovary are both 4cm. I Think that pretty big for a cyst. I'm not sure.

What pregnancy apps is everyone using if you are. I wasn't going to download one this time until 12 week scan but it won't make something happen if I do

Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying their weekend

SmileyT · 25/07/2020 15:59

@DanceM1 really hope it's a positive scan tomorrow and you get to see your little bean and put your mind at ease x

@SkyBlue20 sounds like you will be busy this weekend and I'm sure seeing friends tonight will take your mind off of things, even if it's only for a few hours. I've basically napped all day and plan to do the same tomorrow 😂

@ew1990 hopefully the Drs would have discussed with you if there is anything to worry about with size of cysts, so try not to worry. And I've got about 6 pregnancy apps(ones that switched over from ttc ones) but I've only actually been into pregnancy+ and femometer, I feel like at this stage there isn't much to note for me 😬

ew1990 · 25/07/2020 16:12

@smileyt how many weeks are you. I always forget?

I'm not particularly worried about the cysts as they don't seem to be causing pain I just though 8cm of cysts was pretty big lol.

SmileyT · 25/07/2020 17:13

@ew1990 ahh great that it's nothing to worry about ☺️ I'm 6w2 today so think I'm about a week behind you, you got much on this weekend?

ew1990 · 25/07/2020 17:36

Yeah I'm 7 weeks today.

Not really. I'd normally be working tomorrow so just chilling out. DD is currently making me lie on the sofa with her and watch the good dinosaur. I'm not complaining.

You up to much?

ALew15 · 25/07/2020 17:37

Feel like I have the worlds longest hangover! Weirdly wish I could be sick and get it over with!
I'm like a sniffer dog too, all the smells in the house are making me heave. It took half an hour to eat some weetabix this morning and I've managed a plain ham wrap since 🤢
When does this glow start? 😂😂

peonyrose87 · 26/07/2020 05:35

@ew1990 I have a cyst on my right ovary and they said it’s nothing to worry about if they’re under 5cm!
