Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

@Smilingdonkey what a fantastic scan picture, congratulations!

Today I booked for a private scan for a week Friday when I’ll be 8 weeks, fingers crossed the little flickering heartbeat is a slightly bigger flickering heartbeat!

ew1990 · 23/07/2020 08:56

Morning ladies. Scan went well. 6+5 they put me as.

Said there is a nice strong heartbeat and could see little baby. Didn't have to have an Internal scan either which was good.

bubblybon20 · 23/07/2020 09:24

@ew1990 that's great! Glad everything went well for you! :)

DanceM1 · 23/07/2020 10:16

Wonderful news @ew1990 x

Smilingdonkey · 23/07/2020 10:58

Fab @ew1990. It's such a relief isn't it?! I know it doesn't mean we are out if the woods but it does reduce the risk significantly xxx

Morning all!

@Smilingdonkey What a lovely clear scan! So glad all is ok 💕

@ew1990 Yay to another successful scan in the group! So happy for you 💕

@Millymay13 Exciting that you've booked your scan, too! They're coming in thick and fast now ☺️

SpiderBrooch · 23/07/2020 13:45

Thank you for all of your messages, and sorry for my slow response.

@Smilingdonkey and @ew1990 So happy for both of you!

@DanceM1 I'm feeling a bit better thanks - I had very light spotting and stomach pain on and off over 3 days but nothing the past couple of days and pregnancy symptoms have returned (mostly feeling very nauseous).

I think I will book a private scan as agree with a lot of your comments about preferring to know than not.

Hope you are all doing ok today x

Flatwhite32 · 23/07/2020 13:54

Lovely news @ew1990! Smile

ew1990 · 23/07/2020 14:15

Thanks everyone.

@smilingdonkey yes it is. But I'll soon go back to worrying. My MMC was at 9+1 so they've booked me for another in 2 weeks but I'll be 8+5. So I'll still worry after that till the 12 week one I think

bubblybon20 · 23/07/2020 14:19

Currently on hold to get an appointment with the midwife.. unsure how I feel about it, would literally wait as long as possible if I could 🤦🏻‍♀️ was planning on having one after my private scan 9-10 weeks, but knowing my luck they'll be a long wait 🤣🤣🤣

SmileyT · 23/07/2020 14:34

@ew1990 congrats on a successful scan 🥳 Are the regular scans because you work at the hospital? Could they do another one at 10weeks? Must be reassuring knowing that you are being looked after x

ew1990 · 23/07/2020 14:37

@smileyt well they said they like to keep an eye on ladies after they have a miscarriage.

I Think ill just wait till my 12 week one after that one.

ew1990 · 23/07/2020 15:23

I do often see the same ladies walk in every couple of weeks so I'd like to think they look after everyone.

They are all lovely who work at the EPAU

ew1990 · 23/07/2020 17:12

@bubblybon20 did you manage to get through?

I wanted to wait as long as possible but I know booking appointment is between 8 and 10 weeks and then they have to book your scan. I might ring next week. I Think deep down I'm still in disbelief

bubblybon20 · 23/07/2020 17:51

@ew1990 yes managed to get book in for next Thursday! Which is good, but it's the same day and the same amount of weeks/days I had my appointment booked for last time. So quite nervous. But hopefully be okay! 😀

ew1990 · 23/07/2020 18:01

Think positive. It's all we can do at the minute 😁

I had my booking appointment at 6 week last time and had my scan letter 2 days after that. It was well too early looking back. Was a 7 week wait till my scan 😣

bubblybon20 · 23/07/2020 18:11

True! Do just need to keep positive 😀
Does feel such a long wait, but hopefully after my appointment it's only going to be 3 weeks until a scan through the hospital. But defo going to book a private, to break up the weeks slightly! Xx

SmileyT · 23/07/2020 18:39

@ew1990 ahh that's really good sounds like a lovely unit and glad they are supporting you and loads of other worried ladies xx

@bubblybon20 glad you got your appt booked, it will hopefully come around soon ☺️

Noble89 · 23/07/2020 20:12

Hi ladies,

Just checking in to see how everyone is getting on.

@ew1990 congratulations on the positive scan. It's always good to jump on here and see good news 😊.

I've actually got my first midwife appointment tomorrow at 5+1 which is super early but it's been arranged to ensure they have time to arrange a scan at 7/8 weeks for me. I'm not sure if they'll just use tomorrow as my booking appointment or if I'll have another at the normal 8/9 week mark but we shall find out I guess!

Sakura54 · 24/07/2020 11:44

I took a nap at 9am for two hours lol. Permanently tired.

@ew1990 Lovely that all is well. Did they check your ovaries? @Smilingdonkey I think mine went deeper. It literally felt like I was being tortured but I guess I’ll blame my bent uterus for that as she still could barely see one of them. She noted down the measurements of my ovaries though, random!

How’s everyone’s stomachs feeling? There’s been progress with mine as it now feels hard at the bottom and constant ache inside and out so I know my womb is growing. It wasn’t this bad last time so hoping it means baby is still growing. Anyone else aching?

bubblybon20 · 24/07/2020 12:19

@Sakura54 yes I had some cramping and aches the past couple of days! And also feel like the bottom of my stomach has filled out slightly 🤞🏻

ew1990 · 24/07/2020 12:48

@sakura54 yeah they did. I've still got 2 big cysts on my left ovary and a couple of tiny ones on my right. They Said they will keep an eye on them. The bleed they could see had gone which is good.

I've got no aches but cramps. My sickness has died down. If I hadn't had had the scan yesterdAy I would've been worrying. My boobs are a little bigger (tiny to begin with 😂) and my nipples are really hurting. It hurts having a bra on. My hips are a little achy?

SkyBlue20 · 24/07/2020 13:47

Afternoon all!

Having a concerned day as sickness isn't as bad and nipples are back to normal. I'm tired and got a few aches and pains lower down but nothing severe. Trying not to worry but hard not to as my symptoms disappeared last time around the time the baby stopped growing and my nipples are usually a giveaway. Will see how I get on for the next couple of days as the logical part of my brain knows symptoms and the severity of them can come and go. Why is this wait for 12 weeks SO long?! I'll be seven weeks on Sunday, I feel like I should be much further along already.

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

xx

bubblybon20 · 24/07/2020 14:02

@SkyBlue20 you're not too far behind me, and I lost all symptoms for around 3 days, but the sore nipples has come back and I've also got lower cramps/aches! So I wouldn't worry too much! Have you booked a private scan at all? Sorry if you have and already said 🙄🤣

Noble89 · 24/07/2020 14:06

Hi ladies,

I had my first midwife appointment this morning at 5+1 (had to be early as I need an early scan due to my previous molar pregnancy) and the midwife said she tried to get me in for an early scan but my local EPU refused as they're not doing 'reassurance' scans. I explained this isn't a reassurance scan, it's been deemed medically necessary by the specialists who dealt with my molar pregnancy but they're having none of it.

I'm not sure what to do really?
