Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

@bubblybon20 it was a normal scan! My bladder was so full so it was agony 😂😂 but super clear and baby even moved a bit.

Smilingdonkey · 19/07/2020 16:15

Ah @peonyrose87 that's amazing 🥰 Lovey to see our group's first scan pic (I think? Hope I haven't missed one?!) 😍 Xxx

@peonyrose87 ahh that's lovely, I also had a scan at 7w last time and then I had another private scan at 9w where I discovered pregnancy had stopped at 8w so understand the worries, as I'm sure everyone does, but for now enjoy the moment and remember the odds are in your favour that everything is going to be perfect. I also used ultrasound direct and still watch the heartbeat on the video from the MC pregnancy and it's still magical so I'm still glad I got it x

ew1990 · 19/07/2020 16:42

@peonyrose87 how cute!! And exciting. I've got one Thursday where hopefully it's progressed from just a sac and yolk sac.

How's everyone else? This sickness is getting to me now. Might have to ring the docs

bubblybon20 · 19/07/2020 16:52

@ew1990 how far will you be on Thursday?
I literally have no symptoms what's so ever 😟😫🙈 wish I kind of had some sort of sickness! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@peonyrose87 that's so clear considering it's a normal one! Nothing worse tho when they're pushing on your bladder 😫🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

peonyrose87 · 19/07/2020 17:10

Thank you ladies 🥰

@SmileyT I wasn't expecting the clip so when she said I was delighted! Such a nice thing to get. I used a different baby scan centre the last time and Ultrasound Direct were so much better today!

@ew1990 good luck for your scan! 🤞🏻 how far along will you be at this one?

ew1990 · 19/07/2020 17:42

@bubblybon20 @peonyrose87 6ish weeks. I had one Monday gone and he just said I was 5ish week? So hopefully get a more accurate date on Thursday as it ten days between scans. I have no last period to go off.

@bubblybon20 I hate the sickness but then get scared when it's gone. And with DD I had nothing all the way through. No symptoms. But I had really bad pain with her and bleeding at 9 weeks and everything was ok so no symptoms isnt always a bad thing.

I was ok last time coz I kept thinking no blood is a good sign. I never thought a MMC would happen to me. I really was naive I'll admit. But with DD like I said I had bleeding and everything was fine

SmileyT · 19/07/2020 18:16

@peonyrose87 🥰🥰🥰 can't wait for mine now 🤞

Bit of a random question and obvs just tell me to shut up if it's TMI but are people still DTD? I've read a few people after MC avoid it in the first 12 weeks but I haven't been abstaining and just wondering if anyone has been told by a Dr it's bad to continue? x

bubblybon20 · 19/07/2020 18:19

@ew1990 fingers crossed for you! It'll be lovely and clear!
And very true, I never had any symptoms with either of my sons. But had a few with my MC. So not sure what to expect! Hoping it's just the same as my sons! 😬

Dipsy77 · 19/07/2020 18:19

@SmileyT I'm avoiding this time , I have a cervical erosion and when pregnant I always bleed after which then panics me. Today I've had cm with a streak of blood twice only really small but it's really freaked me out. Before MMC I wouldn't have been concerned I bled quite a bit with dd around this time but now because of what's happened I'm all gloom and doom xx

Smilingdonkey · 19/07/2020 18:53

@SmileyT I don't think sex is a problem unless you have been told specifically not to 😊 xx

My last pregnancy thread was the November Babies one which is the most active pregnancy thread even now. Obviously I don’t follow it but saw that it’s on thread 8! A FB group was created, but the thread continued and I just thought it was normal for ‘normal’ pregnancy threads to be like that, but clearly not. Anyway I’m going to stop reading those March ones.

@skyblue20 My scan has put me back by 5 days (which makes sense as the first three days of AF was just spotting) so I’m only 1 week and 2 days ahead of you, but yes it feels like I’ve known for ages, but it’s still so, so early. Remember you said you had a feeling you would be pregnant/have a baby by April? Looks like you were right!

That’s lovely @peonyrose87 For some reason they can never see anything unless they do internal for me. For the MMC, they thought it was a blighted ovum until the internal where they found baby. Must be in awkward positions and not due to my size or anything because I’m small. The only thing my scan has done is reassure me that I don’t have a blighted ovum; no other expectations. It’s sad that there’s nothing we can do to ensure the heart keeps beating and I’m also terrified.

@ew1990 I’ve also been thinking how weird it is that I didn’t bleed a single drop before with DS and MMC, but my body decides to bleed and confuse me the other day making me think I’ve lost the baby!

I still DTD but due to the spotting, I might leave it for a bit even though I’m not spotting anymore just incase? I don’t think you need to stop, it won’t cause MC @SmileyT

bubblybon20 · 19/07/2020 19:07

@SmileyT I was literally thinking this myself the other day, before I had my MC. Me and DH had DTD, and I started spotting. Think it was 3 days before the actual MC.
I don't think it had anything to do with it, as I had previous spotting from 4 weeks. But has made me extra Cautious this time. I would wait until 12 weeks but feel like that would be torture for DH 🤣🤣🤣

bubblybon20 · 19/07/2020 19:13

Also, I haven't had any kind of spotting this time. So that's why I possibly would. If I had spotting I think I would avoid until 12 weeks at least. But that's my personal preference! 😀

peonyrose87 · 19/07/2020 19:16

@SmileyT I think it's fine to keep DTD! We have been

peonyrose87 · 19/07/2020 19:17

@Sakura54 at least it's taken that sorry away for you! It's such a worrying time, I'm sure we won't relax until there's a baby in our arms

SmileyT · 19/07/2020 20:13

@Dipsy77 @Smilingdonkey @Sakura54 @bubblybon20 @peonyrose87

Thanks for all your responses, me and DP are definitely not everyday people anyway 🙈 but just wanted to check peoples views. I would probably naturally stop if I started spotting but just going to carry on enjoying it while I want to.

@Sakura54 yeah I think that the pregnancy threads probably chill out a bit once it gets past the point of 'I've got my BFP can I join' as it gets more into the later weeks I imagine it will become more conversational but doesn't feel that way when there are so many people joining everyday and being mainly involved in their own journey. I was saying to DP earlier I wish I had some of the blissful joy I had last time but hopefully that comes with a bit more time x

SkyBlue20 · 20/07/2020 10:53

Morning everyone! Did you all have a good weekend?

@Millymay13 Thank you for that link - I love a bit of yoga and definitely want to keep it up.

@peonyrose87 Congrats on the scan and how lovely that you got a clip of the heartbeat, I love that! 💕

@Sakura54 I was on the October thread and that's super active, too (they're only on number six at the mo though!) I still keep up with it sporadically just to see how everyone is but it's so weird to think that could have been me - they're all hitting 30 weeks around now and I can't even imagine being that pregnant!
I can't believe how good your memory is - I forgot I'd even said that about April (my memory is TERRIBLE though, it really is)! Hopefully it'll come true 🤞🏼

Glad I'm not the only one constantly eating! I feel like I've put so much weight on already what with the stretching anyway, the not really being able to run anymore, eating bread all the time and generally being too lazy to move much! Just trying to remember that I just have to get through the first trimester and then can refine my diet once all of this nausea has worn off!

About DTD, I'm a bit like @Dipsy77 in that I'm avoiding it as I know it's relatively common to bleed after it and I just could not face that. Will start up again after the 12 week scan assuming everything is ok. At this stage, we're quite used to it - we didn't DTD through the last pregnancy as we were both just a bit nervous and then obviously had six weeks of expectant and medical management before my MVA, then you can't DTD for a few weeks afterwards, so it was a loooooong time 😬 Obviously it's not ideal but probably best for my mental health.

Woke up feeling worried as nipples have calmed down and I feel a bit crampy but as the morning has gone on, my nausea has gone up to a whole other level so hopefully that means everything is alright. Meant to be calling the midwife today to start setting up my appointments but am almost nervous to 😬 Must just bite the bullet.

bubblybon20 · 20/07/2020 12:24

@SkyBlue20 my boobs had stopped hurting the other day for 3-4 days! Made me panic so much! But last night one nipple seems to feel really bruised, and achy! So am taking that as a good symptom, ooo have you contacted the midwife yet 🙊

SkyBlue20 · 20/07/2020 13:42

@bubblybon20 I hadn’t but then saw your comment and made myself do it so my pregnancy is now officially registered! Apparently I’ll get a phonecall to arrange my booking appt which will be over the phone. Last time, I had a MW appt then an in-person booking appt so seems the whole process has been changed due to covid, which I guess is to be expected.
Sounds odd to say but I’m glad you have an achey nipple 😂 It is so worrying when the symptoms just disappear, isn’t it?! My nausea is something else today though so I’m just clinging on to that as a positive, despite feeling horrendous. Also beginning to think that this pregnancy’s craving might be ice cream as I’ve wanted it for days now, I may just go get a bowl and indulge myself before a boring work Zoom call this afternoon!

bubblybon20 · 20/07/2020 13:58

@SkyBlue20 yay! So glad you're all on the system!! I need to pull myself together and ring myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ I suppose it is all different, with my last appointment I spoke to doctor and then a midwife rang me the same day, booked an appointment for 8/9 weeks, then about 3 days before rang me to go through loads of details! 🤷🏻‍♀️ hahaha that's so funny, I'm honestly so glad myself, although it's bloody painful 🤣 and yeah had made me really anxious the last few days! Ooo I love a bit of ice cream 🤣 sounds like a plan, you should defo enjoy a tub! 😀😀

SkyBlue20 · 20/07/2020 15:31

@bubblybon20 Do it! I forced myself in the end by thinking that even if the worst happens, I'd still have to ring and tell someone as I'd want it on my notes and likely want some advice etc, so may as well register either way. Totally had a bowl of ice cream with banana and it was delicious!

Smilingdonkey · 20/07/2020 19:01

@skyblue54 well done for calling the midwife! I haven't been brave enough yet. I have a scan at 11 on Wednesday as a follow up and if I see a heartbeat I will book in ... That's my deal with myself 🤣😭 Weirdly in all 3 pregnancies I have never had any breast pain ... I am breastfeeding my DD still and that has been a bit painful but that's it!

I think this is it for me 😢 my tummy is in absolute agony 😫😫 like on/off awful cramping in the whole of my stomach 😨 I can't remember much from last time, but right now, this doesn't feel too positive 😢😢

DanceM1 · 20/07/2020 20:05

@SkyBlue20 I'm definitely with you on the eating, I'm dreadful!!

@peonyrose87 great news about your scan- how lovely!

@bubblybon20 im so sorry you have this worry.. I really hope this isn't what you are imagining. Have you spoken to anybody? Could you get a scan somewhere tomorrow? Hope you're OK!! Xx
