Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

@bubblybon20 I have absolutely zero symptoms (apart from being sick a couple times but no nausea around it), I'm only 5w1 so trying not to think too much about it x

Smilingdonkey · 17/07/2020 23:12

@sakura54 I'm so pleased all is ok 😊 xx

I'm having one of those awful evenings where I lie in bed and think about all the ways this pregnancy could end in heartache. 😩 Why do I let myself go there? Is it self-preservation perhaps? Xxx

Hope I am ok to join I had a MMC in May at 9weeks - have had 3 previous to this miscarriages (one at 16 weeks which was a MMC). I have had a successful pregnancy among this and have an amazing little boy. Just got my positive result as put off taking a test but my DH bought me one - I’m six weeks. Very anxious - trying not to even think about it as I worry about how I will be if I have another MC.

SmileyT · 18/07/2020 05:48

@Smilingdonkey I definitely think it is self-preservation, we almost feel like we need to acknowledge that it all might go wrong so that if it does it doesn't hurt as much. BUT after ttc and finally getting that BFP I think it will still hurt so very much so please try and enjoy every minute so when I'm feeling low I just remind myself that this is what I wanted, I knew the risks and it was worth it for the chance of that rainbow baby and the odds are in favour of everything being okay. Hope you are feeling a bit better this morning x

@Maggi85 congratulations, I'm so sorry for your losses and wishing you a happy healthy 9 months. You know your body can carry a healthy baby to term so just focus on small milestones and hopefully the 9months won't feel too overwhelming x

Noble89 · 18/07/2020 09:54

Hit my next little milestone and got my 2-3 weeks this morning 😊.

Next one is to get my 3+ this time next week. Then I should get an early scan 2/3 weeks after that due to my previous molar. Baby steps 😊

Is anyone still getting certain aches on one side? Got a dull ache on the left side today 😫

Millymay13 · 18/07/2020 17:48

@bubblybon20 I’m not getting pains on one side but have a generalised ache in my lower tummy area. I was doing some weeding earlier and it felt like I was squishing up my tummy too much, I just feel like I need to stretch out! I’m hoping it’s growing aches but if it’s like the past couple of weeks it’s probably just bloat.

Smilingdonkey · 18/07/2020 19:03

No pain any more but I am on antibiotics for a UTI which I think caused the pains which made them scan for an ectopic ... Might be worth keeping an eye on in case it's that? Xxxx

My anxiety is better today, thanks ladies 😊 this is hard isn't it?! 😩🤣

OP posts:
ew1990 · 18/07/2020 20:04

@bubblybon I agree it could be a uti. Or Just stretching pains.

@smilingdonkey it's so hard. I Dont think it will leave till the 12 week Mark and that not till the beginning of September for me.

I keep telling myself it's a new pregnancy not my old one.
Still a bit of sickness and no appetite. The only thing I can stomach to eat is pickled onion crisp and I don't normally like them.

bubblybon20 · 18/07/2020 20:09

Thankyou all! Hoping it could be constipation too! Who knows, Just freaking me out as now thinking it's ectopic or something 😫 but surely it would be more painful than this tho? With other symptoms 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Glad you're starting to feel less anxious @Smilingdonkey

@Millymay13 yeah I sometimes get that too, where you need a really good stretch!

@ew1990 it's so crazy how your appetite changes! X

SmileyT · 18/07/2020 20:20

@bubblybon20 would you consider getting an ultrasound just to put your mind at rest? Sorry if you've already said about this and I've forgotten 🙈 x

Sakura54 · 18/07/2020 20:29

@Smilingdonkey yes it's hard. I definitely self-preserve as it helps me cope. Yesterday I didn’t allow myself to have hope, I was ready for bad news, so I’m actually surprised that I got a good result! I know it means nothing as it’s still early days so I’ll be holding my breath until the 12 week scan - the moment of truth.

So in an interesting twist, I woke up nauseous and retched a few times for the first time this pregnancy and the kitchen stinks. I thought I was going to get away with the MS this time, but I suppose I should be grateful after yesterday lol!

I don’t know why I’m still active in the March thread. It’s so boring, don’t you guys agree? Its just not the same as my previous pregnancy thread. I could say anything at all and no one would react! Plus people keep trying to take everyone away to join FB groups lol.

bubblybon20 · 18/07/2020 20:37

@Sakura54 oooo nothing worse than retching and feeling sick, than actually been sick 😫 I agree about the March thread, I posted on there about my side pain and literally no one replied! It seems the same people that reply to each other lol. And yes every group I join it's like "add our Facebook or WhatsApp" I didn't know if it was just me. But I just feel way tooo early still to be writing on them sort of things! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

bubblybon20 · 18/07/2020 20:38

@SmileyT was hoping to get one for 8/9 weeks! So see how I feel during the week as I'm 7 weeks tomorrow anyway! It's not excruciating or anything just a dull ache. But have done a 4 hour round trip today, so could just be from sitting in the car 🤷🏻‍♀️ hopefully it's nothing and my mind is just on overdrive 🤣🤣

SkyBlue20 · 18/07/2020 22:00

Evening everyone!

@SmileyT Thank you for that post, I’ve screenshot it to save ☺️

@Sakura54 Still so happy for you that everything was ok. I’m even happy for your nausea 😂 Agreed on the March thread, I’m not actively posting on it but do keep reading it and it’s not for me - I think there are just too many people on it so no-one is really getting in to proper conversation. This is going to sound terrible, too, but there’s a lot of naive optimism on there and I think I’m just too aware and bitter after previous experience and don’t want to be around that and also don’t want to bring them down! Much prefer it here where we all know each other, what we’ve been through (even been through it together) and are on the same wavelength.

@Smilingdonkey Definitely self preservation - like you’re trying to prepare yourself. Think it’s quite normal but also if you can, try to distract yourself when those thoughts come in to your head, don’t let them take over 💕

@bubblybon20 I get some aches every now and then, not always the same side and not quite cramps, just like dull aches really. I think sometimes it’s wind and others it’s when I need a wee!

Hello to the newbies, congratulations on your BFPs and so sorry for your losses 💕 Welcome to the group 💕

Six weeks tomorrow 🥳 Just a few more hours until I hit that milestone. Phew. Feels like I’ve known forever but it’s only been 10days or so! Did wake up today convinced that my symptoms weren’t as strong. My nipples definitely aren’t as sore but I have felt quite strong nausea so trying to focus on that. As annoying as feeling like I’ve got a hangover every day is, I find it quite reassuring and would like it to stay. I definitely had reduced symptoms with my MMC so an hyper aware of that now.

Am I the only person that can’t stop eating? Seems most of you can’t face food but I’m eating constantly - it’s the only thing that helps with the nausea. I do look at soon foods sometimes and think 🤢 and am mainly living on carbs and cheese but there’s definitely a lot of eating going on. I’m going to be the size of a house before long 😂🙈

bubblybon20 · 18/07/2020 22:06

@SkyBlue20 it's actually gone off now, I had a warm bath. And went to the loo! Think it's just constipation.. how lovely 🤣 and sorry for the details. But doesn't seem to be hurting now! 🤷🏻‍♀️ as for the eating I can have random moments of not wanting to eat anything, but am also a sucker for cheese 🤦🏻‍♀️ literally just had a bowl of beans with cheese 🙄🤣 what is life.. haha!x

Millymay13 · 19/07/2020 09:32

I’m not sure if anyone will be interested in this but after feeling like I needed a stretch/more space inside of me I’ve been looking for pregnancy friendly yoga videos. I’ve found this one and found it so relaxing and calming I thought I’d share: m.youtube.com/watch?v=-GsH35SY9ms

I hope the link works! If not it’s called YogiBirth. There is an app with more sessions and meditations on it which you get a free trial before having to pay. I’m considering just doing this YouTube workout until I’m confident the little fuzzy blob inside of me is sticking around then might pay for the app.

SmileyT · 19/07/2020 09:37

@Millymay13 thanks for this, I'm definitely going to give it a go, also going to download results with bump to keep body moving and healthy x

Smilingdonkey · 19/07/2020 09:56

@skyblue54 I am eating every 45 minutes to stop the sickness. It's ridiculous. I've almost given up meals and now just graze all day 😩 Mainly bread ... I've gone of tea which saddens me. I also had reduced symptoms with MMC but not until later 🤷 xx

OP posts:
SmileyT · 19/07/2020 10:05

@SkyBlue20 no nausea over here although I've been sick three times but I feel like eating all the time but want to lose a bit of lockdown weight before my first weigh-in, so trying to not eat whenever I want 😂 congrats on 6weeks 🥳

@bubblybon20 glad it was just constipation, I've booked a scan for 8weeks but still 3 weeks to wait for me x

DanceM1 · 19/07/2020 10:19

@bubblybon20 I keep changing my mind on the early scan front! I think I will probably end up booking one on a whim one day but because I found out at a private scan last time, I keep putting it off every time I look online! Are you planning to have one?

I had a really positive day yesterday and felt good about everything, then got woken by the neighbours at 2am and spent an hour panicking that I had lost the baby!🙈

Welcome to those that have joined us! It sounds like many of us are in the same boat. I know I've had some pains that have definitely been constipation related 🤣 still makes me worry though!

bubblybon20 · 19/07/2020 12:32

@SmileyT those 3 weeks will go fast for you hopefully 🤞🏻

@DanceM1 I can understand that. I also keep changing my mind. But then if something was to happen, I would rather know 4/5 earlier than having to wait until 12 weeks. I was going to try book one for 8/9 weeks. So need to book one soon actually! As knowing my luck they'll all be sold out 🤣🤣

Glad it's not just me suffering from constipation pains 🤣🤣

peonyrose87 · 19/07/2020 15:39

Hi ladies, I had an early private scan today and all is well at the moment 🥰 I'm measuring 8+1 just now which is a few days ahead of what I thought but obviously that's not set in stone at the moment.

I'm still terrified, last time I had a scan at 7+3 and everything was fine and then found there was no heartbeat at a scan at 11 weeks, but it's a relief for now. They've sent me a clip of the heartbeat too which is lovely ☺️

@peonyrose87 ah that's so lovely!!! 😍😍
So glad you managed to get a clip of the heartbeat! 😀Did you have a normal scan or internal?! This makes me want to hurry and book one 🙈X
