Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

Ahhh @Millymay13 that's amazing, congratulations 💕

Millymay13 · 17/07/2020 11:43

@bubblybon20 I’m 6 weeks 1 day today according to the online calculator thingies...my cycle is long so it makes it more complicated working it out but I think that’s about right!

Millymay13 · 17/07/2020 11:44

@SkyBlue20 Thank you! Fingers crossed that little heart keeps on beating now!

bubblybon20 · 17/07/2020 12:00

@Millymay13 that's so lovely! 😍😍

ew1990 · 17/07/2020 12:18

@millymay how lovely

@sakura thinking of you today.

I can't help with the excuse for not drinking as I dont drink so people wouldnt question me if I turned one down.

Hope everyone else is doing Ok? I keep having days where I panic that it's not going to work out again. Does anyone else have this. Trying to stay optimistic but its hard

bubblybon20 · 17/07/2020 13:25

@ew1990 yes I've been a bit like this the past 2 days.. symptoms have almost vanished apart from some light cramping at night. But just feels like it will go wrong 😫

Esssa · 17/07/2020 13:39

Hi everyone can I join you? Had a mmc 2 years ago found at the 12 week scan but measuring 9 weeks. I'm currently 6+4 after conceiving on the first cycle which seems the norm for me. This is pregnancy number 4 and I've always caught first time or accidentally. This gives me worries about hyper fertility and an unfussy womb though as I've not kept my pregnancies. Last time was the furthest I've got, both the 9 weeks of growing and the 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Feeling nausea and some burning cramping feelings along with a whole heap of bloating from right under my bust. Makes my already fat self look about 5 months pregnant. Has anyone used asprin in pregnancy? Feel like it's my go to question but I can't decide whether to try it or not. I keep bruises for ages and my circulation is rubbish.

I've not rang for a midwife appointment yet either. Not sure why I'm putting it off, I guess its so I don't have to cancel it. I don't want to end up waiting ages for an appointment either so I'm going to have to get on with it soon. How is everyone finding the appointments at the moment? Are they all phone appointments for booking these days?

Mentioned you on the penguin huddle @Sakura54 but hope things are ok?

bubblybon20 · 17/07/2020 13:48

@Esssa hello, congratulations! Sorry about your loss 😨 I've had on and off bloating the past week, making me look 3 months pregnant! Haha, I'm 6+5!
I also haven't rang for a midwife appointment, for the same reason. Don't want to be waiting around for an appointment incase something happens 😫 but also don't want to jinx it if I have one too early! Weird how we over think it all now doesn't it 🙈x

SkyBlue20 · 17/07/2020 14:01

Welcome, @Esssa. I'm so sorry for your losses and I hope this little one sticks around. I too seem to conceive easily (though it's only been twice, both this year, both first time), which obviously sets my mind off about hyper fertility, too. Trying not to think about it at the mo and see how this one goes 🤞🏼
I used aspirin last pregnancy as my mum had pre-eclampsia with me so MW recommended I take it. Unfortunately it ended in MMC (same as you, nine weeks of growth, found out at 12 week scan).
I too haven't called the midwife for an appt, I hit six weeks on Sunday so going to call Monday - not too sure why I'm putting it off, just feels right. Also makes it very real once you call, doesn't it?

SkyBlue20 · 17/07/2020 14:10

Does anybody have real lows at the moment? I don't know if it's just because I'm so tired, I'm not eating all that well and I'm not getting out much but I'm having some real low periods where I just want to cry or curl up in a ball and go to bed. They're not all that regular, probably twice in the last week or so, and I went for a run during the last one and that helped, so I'm not too concerned, just wondered if it's a hormones thing or a lockdown thing (or, most likely, both!)

Esssa · 17/07/2020 14:13

I keep thinking just ring today but I'm putting it off until at least Monday when I'll be 7 weeks. I kind of feel more positive this time than last time. I expected last time to go wrong right from the start, mothers intuition maybe. I'm basically hoping lightening doesn't strike twice in the same place so to speak. All the local scan places are full until I'm near 11 weeks so I can't even get one to see how things look.

I know I'll be put on asprin because of my bmi at 12 weeks anyway so I just wondered about starting it a bit earlier. Some studies show increased risk of miscarriage on asprin though and I don't want to make things worse or mess up a viable pregnancy. After 'normal' miscarriage before I feel weirdly reassured that my body knows how to keep a pregnancy even though the baby didn't grow. Does that sound completely looney?

bubblybon20 · 17/07/2020 14:18

@Esssa yeah that's a good idea. Then it's only 1/2 weeks for an appointment! I think il ring next week, I can agree with you, I also had doubt in my last one but so feel positive this time! 😀 fingers crossed for us all 💖

SkyBlue20 · 17/07/2020 14:31

I'm with you both, @Esssa and @bubblybon20 - deep down, I feel quite positive about this one, just won't allow myself to admit it to myself just yet really. Last pregnancy I was so anxious from the start and as soon as I got told it was bad news I said "I knew it" because I think deep down I did. Obviously this one comes with its own anxieties and worry but I do feel a lot calmer (partly because I'm burying my head in the sand but also just naturally anyway). Might come back and bite me on the bum but that's where I'm at right now anyway, still early days, mind. I just want the next seven weeks to fly by please, never wanted a Summer over so quickly! 😂
Makes sense about your body being able to keep hold of the pregnancy, Esssa, I felt the same - made me feel that if this embryo is ok, my body should be able to keep hold of it well. Makes sense to me!

bubblybon20 · 17/07/2020 14:35

@SkyBlue20 it's weird isn't it, it's like our bodies just know. I had spotting the day before AF the lady pregnancy, then it's kept coming and going. I know spotting isn't always a bad side, but I just knew deep down!x

Sakura54 · 17/07/2020 15:30

Thank you all. Appreciate the kind words. False alarm! Everything is fine. As well as spotting, I was getting bad body aches and felt so weak, so was convinced I was going to have another MC, as the last baby stopped around now secretly. My symptoms are milder than usual and the nausea is non-existent. I also don’t have my usual hard belly. She confirmed I have a split uterus which previously some sonographers have seen and others haven’t. So I have a split and tilted uterus. This is the 3rd time I’ve had an internal scan and my goodness it was painful this time!

bubblybon20 · 17/07/2020 15:42

@Sakura54 so everything is okay? That's a relief, never heard of a split uterus before! But glad it wasn't painful for you. X

SkyBlue20 · 17/07/2020 15:56

Oh so glad everything is ok, @Sakura54! Did they find any reason for the spotting or just one of those things? So pleased for you, sorry it was so painful though!

bubblybon20 · 17/07/2020 16:16

@Sakura54 so sorry I read that last bit wrong! 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈

ew1990 · 17/07/2020 17:03

@sakura so glad it went ok.

Ive had terrible nausea on Wednesday and now again today. Feels like I could be sick any minute. And I have no appetite for anything.
Having to force myself to eat 😩

Sakura54 · 17/07/2020 17:30

Hi @Esssa yes I saw, thanks and welcome! I’m not really active there anymore. To answer your q from there, the split is mild hence why some sonographers can’t see it, but it can cause things like premature birth and MC, which could explain why I’ve had these issues. She isn’t concerned though. I reckon she wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t tell her. I may be getting extra scans due to other issues anyway so I’ll see. Also to answer your other q, my booking appt was over the phone, then I had to go to hospital to get my bloods and checks done.

Yes all good @bubblybon20 7 weeks, so 5 less than my LMP date meaning my 12 week scan will be when I’m under 12 weeks. When the sonographer said: ‘So my lovely, you are pregnant!’, my response was: ‘Is it alive?’ and she laughed lol! I’ve never bled a single drop before when pregnant so that was certainly a scare. Still early days though.

@SkyBlue20 She just said the spotting could be due to the placenta embedding and gave me a leaflet. It was painful because she checked my ovaries (interestingly it felt like extreme cramps) and before that she did an abdominal scan and pressed hard on my CS scar.

bubblybon20 · 17/07/2020 17:33

@Sakura54 I'm so pleased for you! Not really much difference in dates! And that's good, least you don't have to wait much longer. Hopefully the next 4/5 weeks go fast for you 🥰

Sakura54 · 17/07/2020 17:55

@Esssa forgot to say it can also cause baby to be breech which was another of my issues (I had a lot of pregnancy issues lol). The last sonographer couldn't see it at all though despite thoroughly checking, so it's odd. At least it's on my records now so I will mention it at my next appt.

@bubblybon20 thanks, I hope time goes quickly for you too, once you sort out your booking in appt!

SmileyT · 17/07/2020 18:23

@Sakura54 @Millymay13 glad your scans went well 🥰🥰

@SkyBlue20 wish I had a car so I could use the driving excuse for not drinking, I've had to go with saying I'm doing Dry July 🤣

@ew1990 strangely for me whenever I feel positive about this pregnancy and start making a plan for next year or something I think I've jinxed something and then get anxious 🙈

Also just thought I'd post this pic that somebody posted on another thread, I've found it useful to read through when I'm feeling anxious maybe it will help one of you x

@SmileyT thank you very much! And thank you for posting that picture too, I’ve taken a picture of it to look at when I’m feeling anxious x

Anyone else lacking symptoms 😟😫🙈
