Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

@ew1990 Good news that things are looking ok in there and that your hormones are doing what they should, we’ll be thinking if you when you got for your next scan.
@bubblybon20 that is some impressive bloating! The other night my tummy was so rounded, my husband was referring to it as our fart baby! No idea how to make it go down...mine just comes and goes of its own accord.

bubblybon20 · 13/07/2020 18:19

@Millymay13 literally! Have some really horrible heartburn today! Hoping it'll go down later 🤨🤦🏻‍♀️🙈

peonyrose87 · 13/07/2020 18:37

@bubblybon20 oh I looked like that last night 🙈 my OH asked if it's normal to show this early and then found it hilarious when I said it was just bloating 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

bubblybon20 · 13/07/2020 20:47

@peonyrose87 luckily it's now gone down slightly, absolutely mental what our bodies go through 🤦🏻‍♀️ x

Noble89 · 13/07/2020 21:55

Hi ladies,

I'm a little late to the party as wasn't on your original thread but I was wondering if I could join you?

I had a MMC diagnosed at my 12 week scan in October 19. I had a D&C and it was then discovered I'd had a molar pregnancy. With a molar you have to be monitored afterwards as it can become cancerous so I wasn't allowed to conceive again until I was given the all clear by a specialist hospital in Sheffield. I finally got the all clear in May this year and got my BFP @ 8DPO on Friday and I'm seeing progression which is easing the anxiety a bit.

I've joined the graduate bus from the thread I was on but thought it would also be good to join you ladies who know what it's like to be pregnant again after a loss.

Fingers crossed for a healthy, happy 9 months for all of you ❤️

Noble89 · 13/07/2020 21:56

Forgot to add the progression photo!

Hi @Noble89 confirmations and welcome to the group! 😀

That sounds such a stressful time for you, having to go through all of that as well as your MMC. so lovely to see you're progression! X

Noble89 · 13/07/2020 22:29

@bubblybon20 thank you 😊

I think I'm going to do my first digital tomorrow. There's something about seeing it in writing and I have a CB one with the weeks indicator I'm itching to use 😂

Smilingdonkey · 13/07/2020 23:28

Welcome newbies 😊 xxxx

Morning all!

@bubblybon20 Yes, makes complete sense, that’s how I feel, too - happy to chat about it all here but don’t really want to much in real life. Self preservation I guess.

@ew1990 Glad all is looking ok in the scan and that there’s an explanation for the spotting ☺️

@Sowalk Welcome! So sorry about your loss but glad to hear this pregnancy is looking good ☺️ Sure the discharge is nothing to worry about, probably just irritation of the cervix I imagine, but speak to your EPU if you’re not sure xx

@Noble89 So sorry for all that you have been through and congratulations on your BFP. Here’s to a happy and healthy pregnancy xx

I’ve woken up worried this morning as I didn’t have many symptoms yesterday and at 6:30am I found myself Googling it and worrying about a blighted ovum. My symptoms weren’t that strong anyway and I’m only 5+2 so it’s still so early, I must try to shake it off. Easier said than done! Other than this morning though, I’ve been quite calm - I almost keep forgetting I’m pregnant. Strange. Next milestone to get to is Sunday when I’ll be six weeks... five days to go!

Noble89 · 14/07/2020 08:04

@SkyBlue20 thanks for the warm welcome 😊. I'm loving the idea of breaking it down into smaller goals to keep the anxiety in check. My first one was to get a positive digital which I got this morning. There's something about seeing it in writing isn't there?

AF isn't even due till Thursday so next little goal is to get to the weekend with no AF.

I already feel sick as a dog which I'm finding very strange. I did get some nausea with my molar but not till much later. I've been having nausea since Friday which is one of the things that prompted me to test so early and it's getting worse and worse by the day. I'd have thought it would be too early but I can't think what else could be causing it because it's constant. The only time I don't feel sick is when I'm actually eating ironically 🙄

bubblybon20 · 14/07/2020 10:12

Feeling really bad today, like on edge of anxieties have no symptoms at all anymore 🤨😫🤦🏻‍♀️🙈 hoping to get something soon! 😟

Sowalk · 14/07/2020 10:24

@SkyBlue20 thank you for the welcome, I am sure it's fine, but I might ring the EPU just to stop myself worrying! At the scan they put me further along than I thought so I am guessing that's a good sign with the size!

@Noble89 I was the same with the nausea, I was feeling sick and having nausea for a week, but the when I tested it was too early to show. AF never came so I took another test and got the positive! :) Congratulations to you after all you have been through!! :)

SkyBlue20 · 14/07/2020 11:38

@Noble89 I've definitely found that small milestones is helping - it's keeping my mind off the bigger picture. Yay to your positive digital 🎉 Roll on the weekend so we can both hit our next milestones!

@bubblybon20 I scarcely have symptoms at the moment either - very slight nausea but that's it (and it was much lighter than my last pregnancy anyway). Keep reading that it's normal for symptoms to come and go, especially so early, so just trying to focus on my next milestone and not think about it too much. Sending hugs.

@Sowalk Yes, it can do no harm to speak to the EPU, will put your mind at rest at least. The size is definitely a good sign, too!

Sakura54 · 14/07/2020 12:06

So I had my appt to get my checks done and collect my maternity notes. Thought it was going to be quick but they were busy and the system was down so I waited forever and my mum waited in her car! (I’m staying at my family home for a bit). I think they only called me in as I questioned them. Then when I was finally called in by some next MW (my booking in MW was on annual leave and didn’t tell me) I was asked to go back outside as another member of staff walked in crying!

Also they got my height so wrong, I’m apparently 5ft nothing lol! Regarding early scans, different people give conflicting info which is annoying. I only brought it up because of what the booking midwife advised, but their conclusion is to ‘think positively’ and wait for the dating scan. It’s a sure good thing bad service and waiting around doesn’t surprise me otherwise I’d be pissed off!

@bubblybon20 Lol wow! My bloating after dinner has started. It’s only slight but had to undo my jeans button yesterday. I’ve been trying to stuff my face while my appetite is still ok (hence the bloating), but according to my notes, being underweight isn’t a concern unless BMI is under 18, so I’m fine. Also when they weighed me, I had just had lunch plus the incorrect height, so they didn’t think my weight was too low; they made my BMI 21 (nearly 3 higher than what it really is). I will correct them about my height next time.

I feel you @SkyBlue20 I also wonder if there’s really anything in there and if so, whether it’s still alive (the baby secretly stopped growing around this time with the MMC), but at the same time I don’t want to see it until 12 weeks! It’s difficult because I know I can’t rely on my body to start bleeding if something goes wrong. My symptoms are milder compared to my last 2 pregnancies at this point, which is interesting but I know it means nothing.

@flatwhite32 Scanxiety! Love it lol. I’m going to use that word.

bubblybon20 · 14/07/2020 14:28

@Sakura54 sounds like a long morning for you! You have a lot more patience than me 🙈😅 I have decided I'm not going to go for an early scan, there's so many reviews I've read on it. And unless I have any spotting like last time I think I won't bother and just wait until my 12 week scan.
I think that's the only symptom I do actually have still the bloating, during the day and after food!
I seen on the other thread you're hospital books your scans in advance almost? 5 weeks isn't that long really! 😃😃

@SkyBlue20 bloating seems to be the only symptom I have at the moment. But hoping to get some more little ones soon! Although counting myself lucky, if they do come and go. As the heart burn and feeling sick yesterday was awful! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

bubblybon20 · 14/07/2020 15:26

I just read the news of there being a possible spike/2nd peak of coronavirus in the winter? What's everyone else's thoughts on this 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈😫 anyone else slightly worrying?

Shopaholic29 · 14/07/2020 16:30

Hi ladies, hope it's okay if I join. Currently 8weeks5days pregnant. I had a mmc in December 2019 which was discover as a blighted ovum at my 12 week scan. This time round I have had constant anxiety about just about every twinge, ache and pain, feeling nauseas then no nausea!
I had a reassurance scan last Friday at 8w1d and baby measured correct for dates and there was a healthy heartbeat, which was wonderful to see, but can't say it's made me feel any less anxious!

SkyBlue20 · 14/07/2020 17:30

@Sakura54 Sounds like you had an annoying journey! Glad it didn't rile you, you're a more patient person than I am.
Yes, I'm also leaning towards waiting until the 12 week scan but that's still a good seven weeks away yet so there's every chance I won't be able to stick it out that long. My symptoms are milder, too, but let's see how they go on...

@bubblybon20 I read that if there is a second peak, it would likely be at its worst around Jan/Feb, which obviously isn't ideal but I'm very much of the opinion that whatever happens, we'll just get through it one way or another. I was facing the prospect of being pregnant through all of this so think I got my head around it then and I'm also quite a pragmatic person so just feel I'll deal with whatever I have to - don't have much choice really 🙈

Welcome @Shopaholic29. So sorry for your loss and congratulations on your current pregnancy 💕 Glad the scan went well, understand the anxiety though. Not too long to go until the 12 week mark!

SkyBlue20 · 14/07/2020 17:32

Also, I realised today that my last due date (Oct 9th) is the first day of Baby Loss Awareness Week and my current due date (March 14th) is Mother's Day! They both seem very fitting (and I'm choosing to take a Mother's Day due date as a good sign 🤞🏼) 💕

bubblybon20 · 14/07/2020 17:42

Welcome @Shopaholic29 congratulations!

@SkyBlue20 yes when you put it like that, I would of been pregnant until November if my previous pregnancy had continued, so would of been in the same sort of situation! But your right, get through whatever happens.. even if it means hibernating with a newborn for months 😍😍

Ah when you look into it, it must have been a sign for you 💕

Sakura54 · 15/07/2020 07:49

@bubblybon20 Yes, my hospital booked the scan at the same time as the booking in appt and I’ve already got 5 other appts too! I found it weird that I had my booking in straightaway, at less than 6 weeks though. They clearly don’t mess around but it’s too early. Have you got yours booked?

I take CV pretty seriously. I even considered delaying TTC, but we were pregnant when lockdown started anyway and then went through what we did and survived, so as @SkyBlue20 said we just have to deal with whatever comes. Also I know I have to go to my scans on my own again but there’s no point being upset about it even though I’m absolutely petrified.

Getting to hibernate with a newborn is actually a lovely, positive thought right now.

SkyBlue20 · 15/07/2020 09:47

Morning all!

Agreed that hibernating with a newborn sounds heavenly tbh - we'd just ask parents to quarantine for two weeks pre-birth if they wanted to come and see and cuddle baby.

I feel so off today, am super tired (dragged myself out of bed at 9:05am and am still in my pyjamas at my laptop), overly warm and just a bit not right. Was going to go for a run at lunch but might just nap or get a cool shower or something instead. Anybody else felt a bit like this? I'm usually really cold so being warm is unusual!

bubblybon20 · 15/07/2020 10:22

@Sakura54 sounds really organised! I haven't rang the midwife or doctors yet 🙄🤣 don't know why I'm still waiting as I would possibly get an appointment the last week of July 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm not going to book an early scan either so I imagine that would probably be booked in for like the end of August/beginning of sept. Although sounds so far away 😰😫

@SkyBlue20 last week I had a few moments where I went really really hot and stuffy! Had to put the fan on a few times and just lie in bed! 🤷🏻‍♀️

SkyBlue20 · 15/07/2020 10:31

@bubblybon20 I haven't rang either - think I'm holding out until Monday, when I'll be six weeks. Don't really know why, I guess that'll make it feel more real!
Glad I'm not alone in the hot flushes (though sorry you're getting them, too) - had a Google and seems really normal. I'm cold again now, so just one of those things, I guess. Also feeling a bit sickly today so glad my symptoms are showing up to reassure me!
