Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

@ew1990 symptom wise I was having heartburn but that seems to have moved on now.
Did some flat pack furniture this morning that has wrecked my back! Reminded me of the agony I was in during my last pregnancy (the MMC) hoping it eases and doesn't stick around!

ew1990 · 09/07/2020 21:32

@bubblybon it May come back yet. Think symptoms come and go.

@alew oh no. Hope it eases soon.

Oh and I'm really gassy. Ive always been a burper (I'm classy) 😂 but I seem to do it all the time now with no warning. And I know this is disgusting but sometimes a bit of sick comes up. Not sure if it's acid reflux

SkyBlue20 · 09/07/2020 21:54

@Smilingdonkey Thank you. I went out and was so nervous that I probably ran about three minutes at a time but it was better than nothing. I later read that it’s fine as long as you don’t get too hot (I definitely didn’t, I got rained on!) and stay at a level where you could hold a conversation.
I think the exhaustion is just beginning to hit me - I did have a late night yesterday but today I rolled out of bed at 8:45pm, stayed in my trackies all day (luckily no Zoom meetings today!) and was in the worst funk. Getting out for my run felt like such an effort but I knew it’d help my mental well-being and it did. I’m now on the couch thinking about going to bed 😴

@ALew15 Agreed about the other page, it’s moving so quickly with so many people that it’s hard to get a proper rapport going. Much prefer it here 👍🏼 Also worried I’m going to repeat myself on threads as I forget what I’ve said where 🤦🏻‍♀️

@ew1990 My symptoms haven’t been super strong today (trying to reign in my worry about that) but they’re mainly: nausea when hungry, getting STARVING really quickly and then full really quickly (🙄), sore nipples but only when it’s cold, some cramps, world’s spottiest forehead and now some tiredness. Pregnancy is a joy, isn’t it?! 😂

ew1990 · 09/07/2020 22:01

@skyblue20 it really is. I had some lentil soup about 4ish. Then we had chippy so I had 2 plates of beef and green peppers in black bean sauce, Char sui fried and chips. Although I didn't have chips on the 2nd plate 😩😩

At least it had peppers onions and peas in 😂

bubblybon20 · 09/07/2020 22:08

@SkyBlue20 I agree, I kind of prefer this thread as the other one is so busy! And feel more at ease speaking with people who understand the extra stress after a MC. X

ew1990 · 09/07/2020 22:09

I'm watching the due March thread but havent posted yet. @skyblue20 I noticed you said you were worried about not having strong symptoms. With DD I had no symptoms apart from tiredness and spots.

I need to take my own advice but no symptoms isnt always a bad thing. Some people get them some don't. X

SkyBlue20 · 09/07/2020 22:31

@ew1990 Sounds like a great dinner! I was starving, had about two mouthfuls and then was full! Powered through and ate it anyway but am very uncomfortable now!
Yes, bit worried that my symptoms aren’t that strong but keep telling myself that every pregnancy is different so I can’t compare to the last one - and the last one didn’t go well anyway.

@bubblybon20 Agreed, it is really nice to have this one where everyone is in the same boat. This is essentially a March thread at the moment anyway, isn’t it? Can everyone remind me of their due dates? I’m 14th (assuming all goes well)!

Millymay13 · 09/07/2020 22:39

@SkyBlue20 I’m hoping that a gentle jog is ok to do as I’d signed up for a half marathon in September (spur of the moment when I had my MMC earlier this year) and so I’m part way through a beginners half marathon training programme. As far as I can tell from what I’ve read so long as you can hold a conversation, keep hydrated and don’t get too hot it should be ok. I don’t hold out much hope that I’ll complete the half but I don’t want to give up on the idea either. So just taking it slowly and will see what happens.

I’ll be doing my (hopefully) last clearblue digital this weekend, fingers crossed it’s gone up to 3+ weeks... whilst I’m getting symptoms I’m feeling a bit like I can’t let myself fully accept I’m pregnant in case it all goes wrong again. I’m hopeful but kind of waiting for bad news if you all know what I mean? I so want to go to a scan and to see (and hear) a heartbeat, that would make my year!

ALew15 · 09/07/2020 22:43

I agree ladies, much prefer it in here!
@SkyBlue20 my due date is coming up at 18th March.

@ew1990 I get the sicky burps- it's horrible. Wasn't sure if it was heartburn or acid reflux as the burning lasts for hours sometimes.

Also feeling soooo full after food today. I did eat bigger portions so definitely need to stick to little and often as I had been doing the beginning of the week.
Also still trying to lose a few pounds but might be almost impossible now... worried about BMI and weight gain. I'm quite petite 5'3 and usually a size 12/14 - BMI is coming up as 30 which is quite high 😭

ew1990 · 09/07/2020 22:44

@skyblue20 yeah my symptoms were so strong with my MMC.

@millymay I know what you mean. Apart from this thread I don't talk about being pregnant. Try not to think about it. I think If epu scan me and I can find out how far I am I may book a private scan for 10 weeks coz it went wrong at 9+1 last time.

bubblybon20 · 09/07/2020 22:46

@
@SkyBlue20 defo! And yeah I think everyone in here is March maybe 1-2 end week of feb.

My estimated due date is the 5th March 🤞🏻

@Millymay13 I fully understand what you mean, every cramp makes me feel like I'm randomly just going to start a very late AF.
I don't even know when the worry will be less 😰 but hopefully once you've got your 3+ you'll feel slightly at ease, I have since I got mine on Monday. And haven't tested since then. X

DanceM1 · 09/07/2020 22:46

Hope everyone is doing OK! I don't really have any symptoms yet.. my boobs have grown and have bad skin...thats it so obviously I'm worrying (whats new!?) But with my MMC I had really strong pregnancy symptoms so I'm trying not to worry too much about lack of symptoms now 😬

@SkyBlue20 I'm due 7th March.. if all goes well!

DanceM1 · 09/07/2020 22:50

@ALew15 I'm in a very similar position to you weight wise. Have you been given a prescription for higher dose of folic acid?

bubblybon20 · 09/07/2020 22:52

@ALew15 I'm around the same sort of height maybe 5'4, also in a 12/14. I feel really sluggish, I put a bit of weight on after my MC in April, from comfort. Due to been in lockdown and obviously a way of coping! Although since I've found out I'm pregnant I've been having a smoothie every morning, which I also add flax seed for extra vitamins.
And trying to go on long walks.

Millymay13 · 09/07/2020 22:58

@ew1990 definitely re:the scan. I had a private scan at just over 9 weeks last time which was when we found out all was not well so I think I want to book one for around 10 weeks this time. That happens to also be my birthday week so I’m dithering about if I’ll do it that week or not. Obviously if it’s a good scan that would be the best birthday present but I’m worried if it isn’t good. Still feels so far away though as I’m now about 5 weeks.

@bubblybon20 I definitely don’t want to test again after I’ve had the 3+ result, although I do wish they did a 4+ result too!

bubblybon20 · 09/07/2020 23:02

@Millymay13 yes would like one every week until 12 weeks 🤣🤣 I think that would reassure me!x

Smilingdonkey · 09/07/2020 23:45

Evening 🙂 I'm due 9th March (NHS claims 5th but I disagree - they won't take my long cycles into consideration!) I am really down about my weight. I lost 3 1/2 stone after DD was born and while I was still a stone or so overweight I am very tall and carried it ok. I managed to keep it off all year and then the MMC made me pile in 1 1/2 stone (if not a bit more) and I can't seem to shift it. I feel so gross. I am still on slimming world but I had managed to get my BMI down and now it will be higher again for my booking appointment. I'm going to make a real effort to shift 10lbs before I book in ... I have told my slimming world consultant and she will help me do it safely (midwife will say it's ok as they did before) I know I can do it and all I need to do is follow the bloody plan and not eat crap! At least I can't drink wine now 🤣

Looks like we hijacked that thread lol I don’t know how I didn’t see it until yesterday. TBH our MMC threads are the only ones I don’t find either annoying, boring or depressing. I completely stopped following that FB March group because it was getting ridiculous.

@SkyBlue20 1st March for me but I’m planning to have a ELCS so it’ll be end of Feb really. My last pregnancy due date was 1st Nov interestingly.

I feel the same @Millymay13 Hope mixed with dread. Usually I feel nothing emotionally when pregnant, but having a loss really does change things, even though we all know we aren't at a higher risk of another MC, especially MMC. I actually feel scared when thinking about scans. I let my guard down and asked DS if he wanted a baby brother/sister, oops lol.

5ft 3 here too. I didn’t really have cramps last night, that’s a first. Also my other symptoms seem to be milder so far compared to usual and I hope it stays this way (yeah right, wishful thinking).

ALew15 · 10/07/2020 07:50

@DanceM1 yes I'm taking the 5mg folic acid (until 12 weeks) alongside my Seven Seas trying for a baby supplements. I'll continue these until they run out then switch to a pregnancy one.

@bubblybon20 I wouldn't say that I felt or looked incredibly overweight, would u? I'm a bit squishy 😂lol and have big boobs. Obviously would like to lose some weight but BMI just really concerns me when it says obese.

We got married 1st June 2019 and I put weight back on after that, I fell pregnant in September and was really unwell, then the MMC happened Nov-Jan and I've struggled since really.
I know what I need to do! Eat less and Get moving! 🤩

peonyrose87 · 10/07/2020 09:14

Morning ladies-had a few days off of groups as I'm finding I'm worrying less if I'm away from lots of pregnancy chat 🙈 I'm 6+5 today and still not got a lot of symptoms-exhausted, boobs are heavy and tender, gassy and SO hungry. I'm having to eat every two hours at least 🙈 my pregnancy with my MMC I was so sick and lived on potatoes for weeks so this is really different.

Flatwhite32 · 10/07/2020 09:29

12 week scan went well! Baby is actually measuring 13+3! All I could think about in the waiting room was mmc. It never leaves you.

ew1990 · 10/07/2020 09:32

@flatwhite32 yay! So happy for you

Millymay13 · 10/07/2020 09:37

@peonyrose87 I totally understand needing to stay away from the groups to help keep worry under control. What I like about this one is that it’s not too busy and is gently supportive 😊

I’ve just rung the EPU and because I’ve had two consecutive miscarriage they’ve booked me in for an appointment next Friday... it all feels pretty scary going back there but am hoping this time it’ll be a happy visit 🤞🏻

ALew15 · 10/07/2020 09:40

@Flatwhite32 ah that's lovely news, I'm so pleased for you!

@peonyrose87 😂 I lived on toast last time! Staying away from the bread this time.

@Millymay13 how many weeks will you be then? I am ringing my GP today for the first time.
