Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

Oh no @Ranoutofgoodnames I’m sorry this has happened after what you’ve already just been through. It’s so unfair but I’m glad you’re ok. Its classed as another MMC? Yes that’s true, better to find out early. Yes, deffo stick around if it makes you feel better. You can always talk to us about the process in the other thread.

@bubblybon20 Symptom-wise, MS is slowly starting for me, that’s my worst symptom especially when I’m hungry. I will have to start snacking soon (which is something I never do) in between meals to quell it. Also these painful cramps are ridiculous and disturb my sleep but I know they will stop in about a week. I’ve taken a nap with DS the last 2 days so I know the exhaustion is starting. Horrible.

@Smilingdonkey lots of scans for you, that's good! I'm sure all will be well in your next scan too.

bubblybon20 · 08/07/2020 17:20

@Sakura54 yes i have also suffered with sick in my throat the past 2 days. And over watery mouth! It's horrible 😫😫 also feeling very tired! 🙈 oh the joys! X

bubblybon20 · 08/07/2020 17:54

Someone talk some sense into me.. I've done something I really shouldn't have, and now annoyed with myself as though I've jinxed everything 😫😰 I brought a baby grow! Why did I do it?! No idea 😫😫

Smilingdonkey · 08/07/2020 18:05

Just got this. I think this is now the end of my testing journey. Enough now! I need to let go of the sticks! 😩🤣

Yay! @Smilingdonkey it releases a bit of anxiety doesn't it, I haven't tested since Monday when I got my 3+ 😀

Smilingdonkey · 08/07/2020 18:21

@bubblybon20 you have done nothing to jinx anything! I did it with my DD - I bought her a hat because I was so anxious and I found it helped me focus on a positive outcome. I didn't do it for my MMC weirdly. I might do it for this one too actually. Just one hat to keep me focused on the future 😁

I remember thinking this is this baby's hat. And if it doesn't make it then the hat will be my little reminder of him/her.

bubblybon20 · 08/07/2020 18:23

@Smilingdonkey i hope not! I didn't do it for MC either, which is weird, but this time like you say it's to focus. It's only one, im not going to go crazy 🤣 but I'm just hoping that this one goes okay. Just felt silly after buying it. But I need something to keep me going I think, as 7 weeks seems a long way for a scan, and I'm so unsure if want to go for an early one! 🙈

Smilingdonkey · 08/07/2020 18:29

@bubblybon20 I now have one at 7 weeks with NHS so think I might put my private one back to 10 weeks. I had one at 16 weeks and remember that being the worst wait as it is two months between scans otherwise! 😩

OP posts:
Smilingdonkey · 08/07/2020 18:31

And imagine how you'll feel when you put it on the baby and remember the day you bought it 🥰

OP posts:
bubblybon20 · 08/07/2020 18:39

@Smilingdonkey I may wait until 9/10 weeks when I've got past my MC stage' and when you put it like that would be nice! 😊x

DanceM1 · 08/07/2020 18:40

@Ranoutofgoodnames I am so so sorry. It sounds like you are being really strong but look after yourself as well and let yourself whatever you want for a couple of months!

@Smilingdonkey I had the same this morning 😊 makes me feel a little relieved.

@bubblybon20 don't worry.. I don't think any of these things make a difference..just enjoy it! (I'm being a hypocrite because I'm paranoid but I don't think we should be!)

peonyrose87 · 08/07/2020 21:06

@Smilingdonkey so glad your scan went well!

Ness1988 · 08/07/2020 21:11

I had a miscarriage on the 2nd of June I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was positive and I took a clear blue digital today n It confirms I’m pregnant it says 1-2 But my fears are that I already have 5 children so will another one be too hard 🙁 so any 1 with 6 children can u comment plz

ALew15 · 08/07/2020 21:28

@Smilingdonkey brilliant! So pleased for you. I bought CB digital week tests today, they should arrive at the weekend. App calculator says I am 3+6 so should I get a 1-2 weeks on the test? Or 3+ weeks???

Smilingdonkey · 08/07/2020 21:46

@ALew15 the CB indicators go from conception so you need to add around two weeks to them. So you should be on the 1-2 at the moment I guess and will move to 2-3 at around 4 weeks ... But I think take them with a pinch of salt as they are not always totally accurate x

No symptoms at all now. I had achy boobs since my AF date, but not nothing 😫😫

Sakura54 · 09/07/2020 11:02

@bubblybon20 I literally just saw that thread even though it was created on Sat! You just saw it too? I'm going to read it in a bit.

bubblybon20 · 09/07/2020 11:03

@Sakura54 yeah I have been following since a few comments! I feel I need to be on an active one! The other due March is so quiet 🙈

SkyBlue20 · 09/07/2020 11:14

Morning all!

@ew1990 Glad your blood levels looked good!

@Smilingdonkey So glad it isn't an ectopic and everything looks ok. Hope you manage to get treatment for the pain though, they shouldn't just be fobbing you off!

@bubblybon20 I would totally think like you re: jinxing it, however, like the others have said, it doesn't make a difference at all and whatever happens, it will be a reminder of this little one. I may even buy something for this one - we didn't last time as didn't want to jinx it but the pregnancy failed anyway and we had nothing to remember it by, so would be nice to have something this time, whether it progresses or not 💕 I think we, too, will wait until 9/10 weeks for a private scan, to get past the stage when baby stopped last time. Seems a long way off yet 🙈

@SmilingDonkey Yay for the 3+ weeks!

Just did my second (and last) test and was worrying myself that it looked lighter than the pics I'd taken of the first one etc etc etc but it's now nice and dark again (after the few minutes I should have waited!). Obviously I'm panicking that it's not gone any darker than the last one (I don't think it really can!) and overthinking it but I've been quite relaxed the last day or so so trying to be all zen. Might tell our mums today.

bubblybon20 · 09/07/2020 11:22

@SkyBlue20 yeah when you put it like that, I would like a little reminder of this moment whatever happens! It does feel like a long while away 😰 but hopefully it goes pretty fast!
I wouldn't worry about that, mine didn't tend to go darker until they had been left a few extra minutes. But now my test line is stronger than the control line! X

SkyBlue20 · 09/07/2020 14:40

Thanks @bubblybon20 ☺️

I can’t decide what to do about my couch to 5k running, any opinions? I’d just got to the week where I did my first 20min run and I definitely exerted myself so thinking it’s probably not wise to do that again. My next run is 8mins at a time so thinking maybe try that and then when it gets to the longer ones again to just take it easy and slow down to a walk when I need to rather than pushing it? All of the advice I’ve read is ‘continue doing something if you’re used to doing it’ but I feel I’m in an inbetween stage where my body is used to running but not at the levels the app is going to try to get me up to 🤔

Smilingdonkey · 09/07/2020 18:04

@skybkue20 I think just do what you can and stop when you feel it's too much 🤷 I am about to restart couch to 5k (I let it slip!) and stop when I feel I reach a level I feel I can safely keep myself at. I swam with DD but that's not an option right now sadly 😩

Anyone else had the exhaustion hit yet?! I am shattered. I forgot about this!

OP posts:
ew1990 · 09/07/2020 20:27

Hows everyone doing.

No really symptoms yet. A bit nauseous in the morning if I don't eat and my nipple was agony yesterday when DD caught it whist bouncing 😩

Had some stomach cramps before that lasted about 5 minutes. I might mention it tomorrow when I go for next lot of bloods.

I'm so exhausted it's unreal. And so hungry too 😩

bubblybon20 · 09/07/2020 20:35

@ew1990 hi!
No difference in my symptoms Infact my boobs have stopped aching, which is freaking me slightly!
Also having waves of sickness, and not really much of an appetite..
had a small bit of cramping this evening! But nothing more that the past week or so!

Defo tiredness is doing me recently! 🤦🏻‍♀️

ALew15 · 09/07/2020 21:12

Fab thanks for that. I've been crazy lady waking up early every morning to test, hoping the line is getting darker each day 😂

Nice to see a few of you on the March thread, I find not many people interact though. Seems to be so many new people joining every day. I'll stay on here and keep a watch on the other page. X
