@sezzywoowoo21 @Havlerr ahhhh Thankyou so much😍🥰 I’m so so excited today has literally dragged🙈 it’s annoying I have to wait to be induced at 8pm tomorrow I wish it was an early appointment !! Xxx

heroineinahalfshell · 12/07/2020 17:33

Ahh how exciting @Firstmummytobe, good luck for tomorrow!

We bought a new car yesterday as we were close to the end of the lease on our Astra - traded it in for a Kia Sportage. Glad we got it now as I'm an anxious driver so it gives me some time to get used to it before she arrives. Just got to find a decent isofix base on eBay now as I refuse to pay £160 for a brand new one!

JMill13 · 12/07/2020 17:40

@firstmummytobe how exciting! Good luck tomorrow!

BabyG08 · 12/07/2020 18:11

@heroineinahalfshell we got our isofix from the Facebook market place for £15 it’s like new!

sel2223 · 12/07/2020 18:40

Sorry to hear so many of you are feeling crappy too (although it does reassure me a bit that it is totally normal). Everyday is becoming more of a struggle at the minute!

@Firstmummytobe tomorrow will be a long wait till 8pm but just keep focusing on the fact that you are gonna meet your little prince very soon. Hope all goes well x

cannotmakemymindup · 12/07/2020 18:55

@Firstmummytobe Ah excited for you tomorrow so close to meeting your baby!!

2020AUG · 12/07/2020 19:30

I've started feeling crappy too. Had the worst stomach cramps earlier and thought it might've started, they were coming and going every 10ish mins for about 2 hours, I had to lean over something as it hurt too much to stand properly. It eased after some paracetamol and a lie down though so I assume it wasn't actual contractions. I've had cramps on off most of the day but nothing as bad as this morning.
I had a long day yesterday so am exhausted today so not sure if that has set off the cramps and general feeling a bit rubbish, but definitely getting paranoid about every twinge now!

Good luck tomorrow @Firstmummytobe.

NamiSwan · 12/07/2020 19:55

Good luck tomorrow @firstmummytobe!

I've also really been struggling with bump heaviness recently, think baby has moved down suddenly as getting my bump aching at the bottom. My mum and stepdad came to visit me today, I havent seen them since march as all my family live 80 miles away. First thing my stepdad said was "look at you! I've never seen anyone so big " 🙄🙄🙄 I know I am massive as this is my third and I'm a short arse so carry on my front, but I was still a bit... thanks 🙄

Like many of you my braxton hicks have also ramped up and become quite painful at times. Pretty sure they are still just braxton hicks though- but I've been in labour twice before so can remember the difference. Its pretty hard when you haven't had them before, and I'm not sure how I would explain contractions anyway. Early ones are just like period pain but then ramp up to something else entirely.

I'm 37+3 now but despite the braxton hicks all the time I am still expecting to go overdue. Me and DH really sorted out the house this weekend, finally got the co sleeper out of the loft and put the new mattress in it so feel a bit more ready if baby does surprise us by coming early. It's funny with baby one we were ready with everything super early but by baby 3 its just a big rush to get things as sorted as we can and hope for the best 😂

squashie34 · 12/07/2020 20:03

Back in triage again as my blood pressure just wouldn't go down today after my blurry vision spots- pulse is really high too and have felt totally crappy all day (there must be something in the air!) they have said it's severe dehydration again, even though I've already drank over 2l of water today! Just on the ctg monitor now to check all is ok with baby.

Make sure you're all drinking even more than you think you need to ladies in this humidity - we are nearly there xx

sel2223 · 12/07/2020 20:11

Ah bless you @squashie34 you definitely did the right thing going in! Hope everything is OK with both you and baby.

squashie34 · 12/07/2020 20:21

@sel2223 thank you! she's wriggling away on the monitor so she's absolutely fine, just had some bloods done for pre eclampsia so need to wait until the results are back before they will let me home.

Totally didn't mean to send that 3 times! 😳

Rachyrach1930 · 12/07/2020 20:40

@Firstmummytobe good luck tomorrow, excited for you Smile

Oldestchild90s · 12/07/2020 20:43

@Firstmummytobe good luck for tomorrow! Very excited for you!

Firstmummytobe · 12/07/2020 20:47

Thankyou everyone!! It’s just annoying that my app is at 8pm I won’t sleep tonight with excitement ahhhh🙈🙈🙈

heroineinahalfshell · 12/07/2020 20:53

I've definitely overdone it today after a week of feeling sluggish and unmotivated - cleaned the kitchen, laundry, sorted loads of crap that has been building up so up and down 2 flights of stairs multiple times to the loft and spare room, dusted the whole house AND went on a 3 mile walk. I'm paying for it all now so sat on my exercise ball to calm down my back/sciatic/hips which are massively complaining!

cannotmakemymindup · 12/07/2020 21:23

@squashie34 Hope your blood pressure comes down soon.

@heroineinahalfshell Wow you did loads. Reminding me to finally pump up the exercise ball we have and by me I mean DH Wink

JMill13 · 12/07/2020 22:07

@squashie34 glad the little is doing fine! Hope you're BP comes back down to normal fast.

squashie34 · 12/07/2020 22:30

Blood pressure is back down to almost normal for me now - blood tests came back fine for pre eclampsia but showed I'm anaemic so just need some iron tablets (thought I'd escaped this one!)

@Firstmummytobe I'm so excited for you! I hope you manage to get a little bit of sleep tonight through your excitement 🥰

MaisieMolly · 12/07/2020 22:36

@squashie34 hope you feel better soon!

@Firstmummytobe not long now, I’m so excited for you, it’s been months since we were on the very first August thread together and you’ve been so positive and practical all the way through even though I know you’re only young. Hope it goes well tomorrow, we will all be thinking of you!

How’s everyone else doing!? I think my bump has dropped now (36.5 weeks) and it’s causing a lot of discomfort in my pelvis and on my bladder. I’m not sure I will be able to bear it if the baby is late, I’d like her just to be here now, feeling pretty ready now! Nursery and shopping all done now, car seat set up, pram ready, just need the baby now Grin

Camia · 13/07/2020 00:07

@Firstmummytobe So exciting! Good luck tomorrow!

@MaisieMolly I'm hanging in there. Rushing to finish cleaning the house because we honestly don't know how long we have left, baby is engaged and I'm 1.5cm dilated and 80% effaced. Tons of Braxton hicks and feeling off and restless. My doctor says it could be this week. Finally got our bedroom cleaned and the cosleeper set up with OH's help, and am working on catching up on laundry now. A few more things to set up in the nursery tomorrow and then we're just down to getting the living room and kitchen cleaned. OH has to go several hours out of town on Tuesday (though will just be gone the one day, thankfully) so we're hoping baby hangs on until he gets back

Lucky08 · 13/07/2020 07:49

Good luck today @firstmummytobe

MamaFirst · 13/07/2020 08:04
