Good luck today @firstmummytobe
I hope you manage to stay occupied and relaxed today and get plenty of rest! I imagine the day will go slowly at times!

MamaFirst · 13/07/2020 10:42

@firstmummytobe aw that's the worst! Maybe it's tension? Have some paracetamol and chocolate and take it easy today.

Good luck @Firstmummytobe. Makes it seem real now people are starting to have their babies. Better think about packing my hospital bag(not planning on leaving the house though) x

Firstmummytobe · 13/07/2020 15:15

Thanks for everybodies kind messages, but unfortunately on today of all days supposed to be the most special day, my partners test results came back to say he’s also a carrier of cystic fibrosis, meaning that the possibilities of the baby having it are really high so it could change the plans for tonight but I will keep you all updated 💔💔

sel2223 · 13/07/2020 15:27

@Firstmummytobe i'm so sorry to hear that! Have they said what that might mean for tonight?

cannotmakemymindup · 13/07/2020 15:53

@Firstmummytobe Really hope that whatever hhappens later is best of a tricky and difficult situation. You're dealing with so much and doing amazing.

WeeScottishWife · 13/07/2020 21:13

Has anyone looked at (or tried if you've already had a kid) collection cups for letdown milk? I've not read anything about them really before and just wondering about people's experience, or recommendations.

JMill13 · 13/07/2020 21:38

@weescottishwife not sure if this is what you mean but I've bought a Haakaa.

sel2223 · 13/07/2020 21:57

@WeeScottishWife I've bought a haakaa too

KittyKat2020 · 13/07/2020 22:16

@Firstmummytobe what hospital are you in? It’s so lovely you can have him with you

Firstmummytobe · 13/07/2020 22:19

Thanks everyone!! We are the Liverpool women’s hospital xx

squashie34 · 13/07/2020 22:27

I've bought a Haakaa too after it being recommended on my NCT course - it was only cheap off amazing so figured I wouldn't have too much to lose!

heroineinahalfshell · 13/07/2020 22:42

Another one who has bought a Haakaa just to see if it works or not - think it was £12 on amazon so no loss if it's no good! A friend has just offered me a Medela Swing breast pump too, which will be a huge saving if I get on with it.
