Just wondered what everyone's very first early days symptoms were? The reason you considered taking a test?

Felt sick. I was convinced I had food poisoning both times.

Lemons. Couldn’t get enough of them. They smelled divine, they looked irresistible, they tasted better than chocolate.

Painful teeth!? 😂 I'd had 2 negative tests already and had no other symptoms at all but my teeth were achy/sensitive so I thought I'd wait another two days and test again and then voila!

Dizziness, bigger boobs and missed period with intense period pain. I delayed taking a test as my period pain was so painful I was sure my period was on it's way, but super late.

I eventually took a test, got my BFP and then came instant anxiety and worry as my period pain was so bad, I thought I was having a miscarriage.

Happy to say I am now 12 weeks and looking forward to my 12 week (and 3 days) dating scan next week

First time was sore boobs and heartburn and this was 5 days before a missed period. Second time I was 6 weeks pregnant by the time I found out. Was still BFing #1 and period has only just returned so.assumed it was irregular as tested around 30 days after first period and got a negative. Tested again two weeks later due to the smell of a cafe making me feel sick, extreme fatigue and the nausea.

Honestly it was no period! Tested when I thought period was late and got my bfp, boobs started tingling later that day.

I'm newly pregnant. I felt implantation, was a sharp pain in my uterus I'd never felt before (not in first pregnancy). Then started to have Indigestion at night, feel on and off nauseous and dizzy in the day. All this was before I tested positive at 10dpo.
Fingers crossed it sticks!!

Sore boobs from the day before my period was due. I tested that night (had woken for a wee) just so I could put it out of my mind (we had been trying for two years and I was on treatment). Such a shock when it was positive. And then the heartburn kicked in - OMG the heartburn. It got so bad I had an appointment with the GP to prescribe me something stronger than gaviscon and remegel. Day before the appointment I gave birth and the heartburn went

The absolute dire need to eat a lemon! We had the usual "ooh are you pregnant" laugh about it, turned out I was.

So light headed! I swooned into colleagues' arms. Everything tasted a bit weird and my boobs were big and sore (didn't think much of the latter as my period was due)

First thing I noticed was quite severe fatigue in the afternoons. Then the night before I tested I nearly threw up my dinner out of the blue...was so strange I thought, hmmm I wonder! When I saw the 2 lines the next morning I was surprised but realised I had kind of known subconsciously, but hadn't wanted to admit it to myself until I had the confirmation Smile

Tender boobs followed a week after but have been nowhere near as painful as some of the other posts I've read.

Weirdly I had a super tight abdomen. When I stretched or yawned it felt like something was super tight in that area. Ended up that I was pregnant, hard to explain but definitely was my first sign as I started thinking is something happening down there?!

One day late on my period, but that's not unusual for me. Only did a test as a just in case because I wanted to check I wasn't in the "vulnerable group" for Covid. (I've since seen data that suggests I'm no more vulnerable than anyone else, but that's another story.)

The first and one of the only symptoms I have had my whole pregnancy is that I went off coffee. We had IVF and we were a couple of days from our test day I was convinced it hadn’t worked as I had no symptoms. My husband asked if I wanted a Starbucks which is usually a no brainier but I didn’t fancy once although I got one anyway as I thought I was being rediculous and imagining symptoms ! Couple days later got a BFP and I am now 30 weeks only just able to drink coffee again.
