The absolute first thing you noticed

Just wondered what everyone's very first early days symptoms were? The reason you considered taking a test?

bowel cramps

First- sore boobs
Second- DH said "you're pregnant"
Third- nausea
Fourth- was breast feeding and baby became really fussy at the breast and I was sore despite comfortably breastfeeding for months.

Implantation- heavy feeling/pressure and dull pain in abdomen. Very tired and a bit dizzy also.

Odd smelling urine, then tingly boobs, then metal mouth.
Then boobs got so painful I wanted to rip them off 😭

Well - an Implantation bleed, which I took as a sign my period had come and wept for 2 days (TTC hadn’t gone on that long, blatantly hormonal). Then “period pain” which started worse than normal but stayed exactly the same and didn’t rank up. Then weird stabby pains in my boobs. By day 25/26 the penny had dropped...

Scrambled egg tasted odd. The smell made me want to vomit, though there was nothing wrong with them.

With my 1st child I kept dreaming about cows.
No joke, every damn night.

I got so sick of dreaming about cows that I googled what it meant (dream interpretation type thing) and it said to take a pregnancy test because dreaming of cows is linked to fertility.

I was just over 4 months gone and had regular periods until 6 months.

With my 2nd, I was vomiting several times a day.

Back ache. Never had back ache before so couldn't understand why it was hurting so much then crushing tiredness. Took a while before I realised I'd not had a period.

Was the same with the next 2 and now my back is fucked!

First time - missed period and sore boobs (about 4 days after missed period)

2nd time - nothing - and I had a small bleed which I assumed was my period but must have been implantation, I only tested when I realised my ‘period’ was a lot shorter and lighter than normal.

Everything smelt odd. Especially water.

It sounds so stupid but I just KNEW. I had the strongest sense that I was pregnant a few days after conception.

Weirdly though I had this sense the strongest with all 3 of my miscarriages.

Really yucky metallic taste shortly after I conceived - quite a while before testing positive!

It felt like I had really bad period cramps, I remember saying to a coworker that I understand why some women have to take a day or two off during their period as it was really bad. I was due on the next day but bought a pregnancy test in the supermarket in the way home from work. My DS is now 12.

And different coloured nipples, they went from pink to massive and brown

On all 5 of mine within first 4 weeks I got metallic taste in my mouth. Couldn't get enough salmon, like a craving, and huge veins on my boobs.

Insect bites! The only time I've had so many of them was when I was pregnant with my eldest. I had loads last August so had a sneaky suspicion, and now have a 7 week old baby!

My first symptoms were nausea and very sore achy boobs even before my missed period.

Food tasted funny. I had to keep checking the sell by dates on things 🤦‍♀️

DC1: absolutely nothing. We'd been trying for 18 months, I'd been symptom spotting like mad - but the month I actually fell pregnant, I had no reason to think we'd been lucky that time. I only took a test because I was about to go out on the lash and thought I'd better make sure....so all my mates found out I was pregnant the same day I did, the moment I said "er, no thanks, I'll just have a tonic water"!

DC2: bad skin. I remember looking in the mirror and thinking "Jesus Christ, my skin is terrible! Last time it was that bad I was pregnant with DD....oh."

First thing dizziness then felt off like I had a virus . Knew before I took the test.

Extremely visible veins on my boobs! Looked in the mirror before a shower and thought what the hell 😂
