Just wondered what everyone's very first early days symptoms were? The reason you considered taking a test?

Worst migraines ever.

Nausea each time. Desperate craving for salt.

When I was pg for the third time but had not yet tested - certainly before my missed period - DP and I went on a trip. We stopped at a service station at about 10am I demanded salt and vinegar crisps. DP immediately said 'you're pregnant'.

Metallic taste in mouth days before positive test, and weeing all the time

Suddenly needing a wee really badly and not being able to hold on. Very odd. And the second time just a few days after conceiving and I knew from that but also a takeaway coffee and muffin tasted really weird.

The smell of my new sofa made me feel unwell and I literally didn't want anything to eat (which started a very expensive couple of weeks of going to the shops every meal time to buy what I fancied). And feeling utterly exhausted.

Missed period, no pre menstrual symptoms

On my 5th pregnancy. I knew before my period was due as I recognised the metallic taste and increased sense of smell. Swiftly followed by nausea, intense fatigue yet insomnia.

Really tired and drained. The first 12 weeks were the hardest.

Had a Thai curry and couldn't eat it because it was unbearably sweet.

Cramps. Completely by chance I was watching a video where someone described that was their first pregnancy symptom while I was having the cramps. I wouldn't have made the connection otherwise.

First pregnancy was tiredness and the excessively sore boobs literally could barely touch them to wash but second was just tiredness but I also had a 'feeling' my son hadn't been sleeping well which is why I thought I was tired.

I’m confident I got nausea almost as soon as I conceived, I was peeing a lot and I could feel a pinching in my tummy.

Implantation bleed; red blood just the once, on CD25 (28 day cycle). I usually spot the day before my period starts and thought that's what it was, albeit a little earlier than normal. There was no period the day, or the day after that so that got me thinking! Tested positive on CD27! Had implantation bleed when I was pregnant with my DD too, although that was brown. Hence why I thought AF was arriving this time, as I didn't expect the implantation bleed to be bright red.

I needed the loo a lot, and felt so so tired. I was getting home from work and going more or less straight to sleep. I was on the mini pill so don't normally have periods, but I took a rest to rule it out as I was getting worried the symptoms could be something that needed checking out- didn't expect it to be positive.

Was so tired I fell asleep twice in work, didnt think about it then read a book where the character was pregnant and sleepy, the following day morning sickness, then realised it had been ages since my period (and I still didnt believe it when I saw the line!!)
