@Delta87 Hello! I'm 5+5 and have had very few symptoms, I don't feel pregnant at all. Speaking to some other ladies at a similar stage, a lack of symptoms seems quite common! Apparently they'll hit in the next week or so! This is also my first bubba 🙂

Tecalina · 01/07/2020 15:41

@Dylansophia1 That's very strange, you are indeed a medical mystery! I hope everything goes well on Friday though. I take it the sac they found has been growing nicely? I wonder what the other thing is!! Intriguing!

Linda1987 · 01/07/2020 15:52

@Delta87 it's my first too and I'm desperate to tell people, especially my mum and sister.......going to be a long few weeks!!😂

Delta87 · 01/07/2020 15:55

We decided to tell our parents only as I think we are all desperate for good news. We know it’s really early and emphasized that! They all know the realities of such early news.. fingers crossed we can tell everyone further along!

Hopesandrainbows · 01/07/2020 16:14

@Spinksy9 aww I hope your HCG rises and everything works out. Really feel for you as I know how much anxiety is causes. Sending lots of hugs! Xxxx

Tmemily · 01/07/2020 17:53

do I or don't I use up my last CB weeks indicator test 😩 I did one on Monday and it showed as 2-3 weeks which is about right as I got a positive OPK on the 9th. But I want to check that my levels have increased, as the anxiety is killing me. If I do one today it should say 3+ weeks but it's right on the cusp. should I try and leave it a few more days?

Hopesandrainbows · 01/07/2020 18:08

@Tmemily if it's right on the cusp, leave it a couple of days otherwise you'll only stress out for probably no reason xxx

peonyrose87 · 01/07/2020 18:12

@AnonGlasgow so good if your boss is being understanding! I was off work, and then just started a new job the week before I got a BFP 🙈 my midwife said it was fine to go into work and that nurses are working in hospitals when pregnant, so as long as I'm distancing and being sensible it's fine.

Hopesandrainbows · 01/07/2020 18:15

anyone super bloated?! And has anyone got any super ways of dealing with it?! 😅😂 it feels like I'm going to burst- it's so uncomfortable and I'm very gassy 🙈🤢 sorry tmi!

Indigo89 · 01/07/2020 18:29

@Hopesandrainbows yes. But my gas is burping, constantly, when I go to talk I do a little burp.

I've also been having some needle like, pin prick type pains in the uterus this afternoon. 6+2 today.

Tecalina · 01/07/2020 19:03

@Hopesandrainbows I am extremely bloated! I feel so full and sick after eating a meal, even if it's only a small meal! My partner certainly doesn't appreciate how gassy I am, but I just blame the tadpole 😂 🙊

Wyewaving · 01/07/2020 19:15

@Hopesandrainbows The bloat has been mad over the past few days. I don’t have much of an appetite at the moment (not sure if that’s a symptom or if I’m still in shock - I’ve lost 2lbs since the weekend 🙈) but I look like I’ve eaten loads.

Sakura54 · 01/07/2020 19:21

@Hopesandrainbows my bloating hasn't started just yet but what I've done previously is eat smaller portions so I'm not too full, therefore my stomach won't get so tight and round. I used to go to bed with a 'bump' and wake up with a flat stomach again, that's how you know it's bloat! Lol.

GB207 · 01/07/2020 19:32

My husband and I started trying this month and sure enough we got two positive tests on Saturday. My first thought was there is no way this is happening as I was expecting many months and to be honest, almost felt guilty about it. I then started very little spotting and cramping Saturday night into Monday. I finally got a hold of my doctor on Monday and she told me it really was too early to tell what was going on. I am consumed with worry and am convinced I don't deserve to become pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy this "quickly." The spotting as stopped but my worry is overwhelming. It is so hard to talk about. I "can't" say anything yet and as understanding as my husband is, he just doesn't get it. I am terrified of miscarrying which I know is common but also not something I should be focusing on! Does anyone have any advice or similar feelings?

MyGossip · 01/07/2020 19:40

Wow!! So much chat today. Congrats to those BFPs ladies!

@Hopesandrainbows yup!! So much. I've always had a bit of a flat tummy and this bloating is really getting me down 🙈 trying to think of the bigger picture though.

How is everyone feeling?

AnonGlasgow · 01/07/2020 19:54

@BookishEm I'm working in SLC and with the EIS. When my boss looked up the EIS guidance last week it just advised all pregnant staff and didn't state how many weeks. I was happy to keep working but my HT didn't want to take any risks and told me to go home lol x

BookishEm · 01/07/2020 20:20

@AnonGlasgow I’m only nervous if we go back full capacity without socially distancing. Even if they say the kids are to SD from us it’s unlikely they will be able to ensure that in the classrooms my school have. No way will I be able to stay 1m let alone 2m away from anyone at any point and that’s what NHS advise is for PG women to be strict with SD... hopefully things will be clearer in a few weeks.

AnonGlasgow · 01/07/2020 20:27

@BookishEm in an ideal world I would love to be back in August. Think I would drive myself mad being stuck at home all the time but then I hear about the schools in Leicester that have had outbreaks and that does concern me.
I'm teaching p1 and it's impossible to socially distance from them at the age too 😂

MrsBlue1986 · 01/07/2020 20:34

Evening all!

So I was rota'd to work at school tomorrow...but decided to tell them I wasnt well... so fingers crossed I wont be asked to go back in before the end of term in 2 weeks. I just didn't want to tell them the truth just yet!

How many DPO are we all!?
Im 13DPO today and AF is technically due tomorrow. had a very strong positive today again though. im still panicky, as April is when i had my early miscarriage... 4 days after what would have been my period. Argh!

What are all our symptoms!?

I just feel nauseous sometimes, sore boobs, and a weird constant ache in my right groin area, which is causing sciatica and back pain also. Not sure if linked!?!

Xx

Tecalina · 01/07/2020 20:37

@GB207 We've has a few ladies in this thread who have experienced early spotting. More often than not, it's nothing to worry about but understandably you're going to be concerned! Hopefully someone who has been through it can give you some more advice 😊

knickknack30 · 01/07/2020 20:38

Bless you @GB207, it's really tough. I know exactly what you mean. It happened quickly for us too and then you cant help but worry that because it was quick something might go wrong as your luck will run out. My advice to you would be take time away from thinking about it. I know that's easier said than done though. On Sunday and Monday I was in an awful state - sitting in the house obsessively googling everything, hardly talking to my DH, bless him. Try to organise a nice walk or picnic or something to get out and take your mind of things. Unfortunately nothing we can do can change anything. Keep your chin up and know that your anxieties are perfectly normal xox

BookishEm · 01/07/2020 20:44

@MrsBlue1986 I have been really constipated and bloated, hate the taste of coffee suddenly, headaches and feeling nauseous off and on for the last few days but not enough to effect me. Who even knows if all or any are PG symptoms but I’m putting them down to baby!

marplemead · 01/07/2020 20:47

@MrsBlue1986 hopefully that means you won't have to go back into school this term.

I think I'm 16DPO - I've never known when I ovulate. My only symptoms are tiredness and bloating. I've had to take an afternoon nap most days since my bfp, which isn't easy with a toddler around. Luckily, DH is wfh too, so it's been manageable. I had severe sickness with my last pg, so I'm trying to enjoy the time before that starts again.

I'm a bit panicky too, and keep checking my knickers. My mc was around 6 weeks, so I don't think I'll be able to relax until I've passed that point.

I was given the number to contact midwives directly, but the line was busy all day. I'm hoping this is not a sign of what things will be like having a baby during covid.

MrsBlue1986 · 01/07/2020 20:48

@bookishem yeah Im getting headaches and random hot flushes too! Do you have any groin/ ovary cramps!?? Its driving me mad.. constant for fhe last 3 days or so!! Xx

peonyrose87 · 01/07/2020 20:50

@MrsBlue1986 I'm 5 weeks +3 today. Still don't really have symptoms-my boobs are tender and I'm exhausted, having a nap most days! I didn't get sickness until 6 weeks last time so I'm sure it'll happen!
