Good luck @RunnerGirl123 for tomorrow. Much love to you 💓

lc86 · 18/06/2020 22:50

@Mummyshark97 @amyyy1 mine is at 11, you can just imagine now they won't be able to tell me 🤣🤣 I'm so excited to see baby again and see how much he/she has changed again x

firstbabybell · 19/06/2020 06:52

Good luck with your scans today ladies & enjoy seeing your babies. Hope your partners enjoy it too, it's a really special thing to share.

Look forward to finding out the genders. I feel like we are due a few more girlies!

MummyShark97 · 19/06/2020 07:38

@peachypetite sympathising with you big time, logged on for work nice and early, thought to myself "I don't feel well" and promptly threw up! lovely!

RestorationInsanity · 19/06/2020 08:07

Good luck today @RunnerGirl123, all here if you need us.

Good luck for any other scans, looking forward to hearing whether we're adding some more boys or girls for those finding out!

Kj1010 · 19/06/2020 08:29

Beccarans89 · 19/06/2020 08:45

@RunnerGirl123 good luck with your appointment today, will be thinking of you xx

firstbabybell · 19/06/2020 08:50

@kj1010 we had a private scan at 15+2 just for fun & so that OH could meet baby. Could be wrong but think gender scans are from 16 weeks?

Would highly recommend the extra scan if you can afford it. I totally fell in love at it. 😍

We haven't bought anything either & I'm 17 weeks today. Was starting to panic as everyone on here is so organised but there's still lots of time.

@runnergirl123 thinking of you all today. Xxx

peachypetite · 19/06/2020 08:54

@Kj1010 don’t stress, I haven’t bought anything either. My mum sadly lost a baby at six months pregnant and that has definitely had an effect on me. I’m happy browsing but won’t be buying anything until much further along. I’m also not having any additional scans. My 20 week is in three weeks when I’ll be just a couple of days off 20 weeks. Not finding out the sex. @MummyShark97 bleugh again, all that crap about sickness stopping at 12 weeks... lol. I’ve also been thinking again about how lucky I am to have exclusively worked from home and not had to be sick in public toilets Sad
I’m still waiting for my 16 week call from a midwife. I have questions about my whooping vaccine, dental entitlement form, matb1 form for work, etc.

RestorationInsanity · 19/06/2020 09:10

@Kj1010 don't worry, I'm 16 weeks today and the only thing I've bought is a changing mat that I've had delivered to my mum's house! Partly because our whole house is being renovated so currently the stuff in our loft is in a spare room, we're both working from home so another spare room is now part office, the dining room stuff is in the kitchen, the builders are using the garage as a workshop and we're about to put half our bedroom in the lounge so we can move the furniture about! The thought of adding a pram etc to that mix is too stressful at the moment!

We made a list of what we absolutely must have when baby arrives and narrowed it down to a car seat, a few clothes, a cot and some nappies. The only extra would be bottles if you're planning to formula feed. When you break it down like that, you think, I could get that done in a few weeks if I needed to.

RestorationInsanity · 19/06/2020 09:11

@peachypetite how awful for your mum. It's such low odds but so absolutely tragic.

Awkes · 19/06/2020 09:12

@peachypetite if it helps I was told I’d get my whooping cough at 20 week scan and matb probably 25 weeks

@Kj1010 It is 16 weeks before they’ll tell you gender. Would also 100% recommend a private if you can manage it. Such a different experience to the nhs one

Feel so bobbins today 😭 Been so tired then inexplicably woke at 3am wide awake now just feel all groggy. Keep getting almost like period pain round my front and terrible back pain. Been for a walk and it’s like my hips are coming loose, I’m sure I’m waddling already. I cruised through the first trimester but the second is killing me already

StephRae · 19/06/2020 10:15

Hi all! I know I’m a bit late to the thread but currently 17 weeks with twins (due 23rd November). This pregnancy is my 2nd and still don’t think I’ve gotten my head around it as it wasn’t planned and my daughter is only 6 months old, going to have 3 kids less than a year apart 😂although still incredibly excited to be bringing 2 more lives into the world ❤️

👣 Due late Nov/Dec, it's bump time ladies! 👣
Fredthespider · 19/06/2020 10:25

@StephRae 3 under 1 is going to be both hard work and so amazing for you! We didn't want a big age gap but number 2 took a little longer to come than we'd hoped so we'll have 22 months between ours and we're not having twins.

ChampooPapi · 19/06/2020 10:53

@RunnerGirl123 thinking of you today lovely

Welcome to the thread @StephRae 👣👣 how have you been feeling in yourself? What type of twins are you expecting?

Kj1010 · 19/06/2020 11:02

Thankyou all for messages I think I will book a scan when I reach 16/17 weeks with my others only brought stuff after 20 week scan but might wait for bit longer this time as dont want to jinx things lol have seen a pram bundle with moses basket a carry cot type bouncer for 285 pound that you have to pre order for august/September dispatch so am keeping an eye on the site as once have a scan at 20 weeks might pre order it

lc86 · 19/06/2020 11:04

@ChampooPapi oooh do you?! It's tomorrow, going to be the longest day ever!! xx

ChampooPapi · 19/06/2020 11:09

@lc86 oh no another day in purgatory! 😂 Is it early ish tomorrow? I'm finding the wait for my twenty week scan slow, just over two weeks now and that is going to drag. The last 5 weeks seemed to have wizzed past and now the scanxiety has returned each day feels so long!

OP posts:
lc86 · 19/06/2020 11:22

@ChampooPapi hah yes, 11am so not too bad.. my 20 week isn't until 15th July so I'm so glad we booked this one. I could do with a scan every two weeks I think just to keep the anxiety at bay lol xx

ChampooPapi · 19/06/2020 11:29

@lc86 yes, every Friday would do me scan wise 😏

OP posts:
StephRae · 19/06/2020 11:58

@ChampooPapi thank you, I’m having fraternal twins and I’m finding out the sexes soon! I’m feeling okay overall, definitely starting to experience the back pain which will only get worse based on my previous pregnancy and my skin has been breaking out the last couple weeks but morning sickness has pretty much gone now so that’s good 🙌 plus I can feel movement now which is very exciting!

StephRae · 19/06/2020 11:59

How have everyone else been feeling and how far along are you guys?

EithneBlue · 19/06/2020 12:48

Breathing in vs not bothering to hold it in 😂
17+6, photos taken a minute apart.

Hello everyone. I haven't posted for a while but have been avidly reading all the updates.

@nearlyamummyof3 and @RunnerGirl123 I was so very sorry to read about what you're both going through. I'm full of admiration for the way you're both handling it, although you probably don't feel strong yourselves. Best wishes to you both.

@Dee96 you're not in Oxfordshire by any chance are you? I've been told we're not getting any contact at 16 weeks, even by phone. Feels really unfair when everyone else seems to be at least getting a call if nothing else. 12 weeks to 20 weeks is a long time to go without any contact at all.

I've always said I didn't want to find out the sex, but I've changed my mind! Booked a gender scan for tomorrow morning. It just feels like it will be much easier to buy clothes and so on and to plan... I always though I'd like the surprise at the birth, but I've decided that will be overwhelming enough anyway!
