Thank you everyone for your messages! Always keeps me going ❤️

So my appointment was at 9 but I didn't go in till 9:50... how can they already been so delayed that early in the morning?!

Basically everything is looking as good as it can do at the moment, even though twin 1 is still roughly a week smaller than twin 2 (although she had caught up a little bit, her abdominal circumference last time was on the 8th centile and this time was 44th centile) she still has little legs! (Femur length less than 5th centile). 🌟 No sign of TTTS!!! 🌟** which was a massive relief! We still have the 10% risk of a genetic abnormality but the sonographer said they would usually see something obvious structurally by now if it was one of the big genetic disorders like Down syndrome. We're holding on to the fact that twin 2 (the bigger twin) looks absolutely fine, growing on track and shows no genetic soft markers. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 keeping the faith!!

Two weeks to go til the anomaly scan 🙏🙏🙏

MilsCookie · 05/08/2020 11:27

P.s. lovely bump @Whiffle77!! 😍 you look lovely!

Whiffle77 · 05/08/2020 11:46

For my 12 week scan, I was in at 8.30 and they were nearly an hour and a half late. Which really helped my anxiety as you can imagine!! No idea why they were so far behind.
Sounds like you had the best outcome you could have hoped for @MilsCookie that all sounds really positive! Im sure you will still be counting down until 20 weeks but it will come around so quickly. Sounds like twin 1 has been doing some good work in there! 😍 hope this gives you a little bit of anxiety free time

AlviesMam · 05/08/2020 11:50

@MilsCookie Looking positive!!! Hopefully your not worrying as much as last time and we can get you through these next few weeks and make them go fast!! I bet you loved seeing the girls again Smile ❤️❤️

AlviesMam · 05/08/2020 11:51

@Whiffle77 Gorgeous mummy to be. Loving the bump... and snap on the boobs they are out of control haha! Xx

AlviesMam · 05/08/2020 11:52

Anyone bought anything yet? Have you started on your nursery's?
I have my growth scan on Monday so hoping to start purchasing after then. Although I do have some nursery ideas. Xx

AlviesMam · 05/08/2020 11:53

@Whiffle77 That didn't sound right I meant snap as in my boobs are out of control 😂😂

Ejb86 · 05/08/2020 12:00

@MilsCookie yeaaaaaaah! Go girlies and go Mama! I'm so pleased for you.

Whiffle77 · 05/08/2020 12:06

hahaha I knew what you meant @AlviesMam!!

We haven't bought anything yet. We have an appointment at a pram shop next week to have a look as I am completely overwhelmed at the choice out there. We've also stripped all the wallpaper from the nursery but thats it! Still in some denial but also keen to get things sorted, so i think we may start on some of the bigger bits soon.

Leok83 · 05/08/2020 13:21

@MilsCookie that's such great news your girls are doing well and it's all sounding so positive! So happy for you!xx

FireflyGirl · 05/08/2020 14:40

Glad the scans have all gone well! And yey to no ttts, @MilsCookie!

We haven't bought any big items, as we already have them from DS, but I have bought new mattresses for the Moses basket and co-sleeper 'just in case' she comes early.

We have planning permission for an extension, which we're going to use as a study/playroom, and the spare room which is currently being used as a study will be baby's room, so we won't be sorting that until after she is born!

She's much more wriggly than DS ever was, and I think she has wriggled her way back to being transverse as my bump has changed shape and I can feel movements in my left side now, which I couldn't before.

I've booked a 4D scan for 2 weeks tomorrow, can't wait to see her again!

I am so uncomfortable all the time, though. I've had DH bring my rocking nursing chair down into the living room from DS's bedroom because I can't get comfy on the couch or dining chairs (through living/dining room).

My bump is huge (or feels it!). My gym reopened last week, so I've been going swimming a couple of times a week, which is making me feel a bit better, but I'm still struggling. I'm not seeing the midwife until a week on Monday, so it'll be interesting to see what my measurements are!

FireflyGirl · 05/08/2020 14:43

Forgot the photo. This is my bump at 27 weeks!

Ahh glad to read your update @MilsCookie
💟💟

SunnySideUp2020 · 05/08/2020 17:42

@FireflyGirl lovely bump!! X

ChampooPapi · 05/08/2020 19:49

@MilsCookie that is such good news that they are still showing no signs of ttts, that is such a relief obviously but also it bodes incredibly well for the foreseeable in your pregnancy. I am so bloody relieved to log on and see your update on them both, it really does seem incredibly unlikely they have any kind of genetic disorder or syndrome, but I understand for 100 percent accuracy you are considering the amio at twenty weeks, which I think is wise of they still advise it. But it is difficult because it is very unlikely so you are pulled and torn in that dilemma which make these times so incredibly stressful and emotional, even with the good prognosis. To be honest you'd feel the same if they said oh it's 1 in a hundred , you would still feel that worry and probably need to know the answers because of the initial issues that started it all, it would just be on your mind. But I can't see how your scan could have gone better, and ttts is incredibly bad for twins so that actually is the absolutely brilliant news, and everything else sounds fantastic as far as their measurements go. Mine are a week apart too so it's very normal my consultant said growth wise, it would be odd actually if they were exactly the same, they are still different entities however genetically similar they are. Keep trucking and let's plough forward together I until the next list update, only two more to go and you'll be at your 20 week scan 🙌🥰

@BecsterG I will definitely update your extra day, I've recorded it in my diary for next Tuesdays list 🦸‍♂️💗

ChampooPapi · 05/08/2020 19:49

@FireflyGirl oh my god amazing bump! Your look absolutely fantastic 😍😘

FireflyGirl · 05/08/2020 20:02

Thanks for the kind words, @ChampooPapi.

I am incredibly uncomfortable already, and not sleeping well. The bump pulls on my back and the ligaments in my sides, and I've put on a stone and a half in 2 months which, combined with my pelvic girdle pain, means even walking is a chore. I am not a great advertisement for pregnancy, tbh!!

Good thing I'm still furloughed, don't know how I'd cope with work as well!

BecsterG · 05/08/2020 20:26

@MilsCookie sounds like today was pretty positive which was lovely to see on here. Fingers crossed for a quick 2 weeks ahead of your 20 week scan.

@FireflyGirl love the bump. I too am feeling uncomfortable most of the time. I suddenly feel so pregnant it's not funny.

We've not bought anything yet but don't need a lot as we have everything from DS and as we're having another boy there's only a few things I'm buying. We're currently renovating upstairs and should be finished by the beginning of September. DS will then move into the sore room and his room will be the nursery again so I'll finally be able to sort the baby stuff out and get ready. Until then there's no space for anything. H ha

@ChampooPapi aww thank you. I probably gave it to you wrong and as it's only out a day it's no big deal as let's face it he'll come when he's ready! 😂😂

ChampooPapi · 05/08/2020 22:11

@BecsterG of course it matters! It's your baby and it's the list of truth 🙏. It must be correct or it's just not right !

If anyone elses isn't right tell me definitely, though what it's set at 12 weeks it does stay no matter what changes measurement wise 👍

BS9790 · 05/08/2020 22:17

@AlviesMam, we have bought most things now because as it currently stands, I'm going back to work September 1st and I just won't have the time then. My work/life balance is terrible... I can easily do 14 hour days Mon-Fri and spend half the weekend working too. So it was do it now before term starts, or not get it done at all!

I've worried lots about doing it "early" but really it probably wasn't early at all to most people... Just to us!

MilsCookie · 06/08/2020 09:49

Thank you everyone! Yes you're right @ChampooPapi, we'll always be worrying about it even if everything looks 'normal' at the 20 week scan! Then that really will be a horrible dilemma, to have the amnio to put our minds at rest for the rest of the pregnancy, or just hope for the best? We've basically said we'd definitely have the amnio at 20 weeks if it showed any structural abnormality. But we're not sure what to do if things look good because of the feckin miscarriage risk!!! 😩 just got to try and switch my brain off again for two more weeks.

Lovely bump pic @FireflyGirl!!

I'm baking some 'gender reveal' cupcakes today as I'm going up north to see my family tomorrow and we haven't told them the gender yet - going to just make normal cupcakes and then put some pink buttercream inside them and put the lid of the cakes back on! I'm not a baker so wish me luck 😂😂😂

TerribleImagination · 06/08/2020 13:13

Haha good luck with the cakes @MilsCookie! I’m sure they’ll be ace! I did a gender reveal cake for my friends at their request 🤣 It was filled with pink millions, which we’re still eating now haha!

BS9790 · 06/08/2020 17:19

Stupid question... But what have people used/planning to use, as their hospital bag?
Restrictions for no visitors would mean packing enough for a few days stay, but I don't want to turn up with a massive case 😂 but also conscious I have to be able to carry whatever I take... So something on wheels? 🤔

Help 😂

ChampooPapi · 06/08/2020 17:42

Absolutely take a wheeled carry on luggage case @BS9790, and don't feel no shame! Why lug a bag around when you can just wheel along, plus it's easier for your partner to wheel when he collects you while he's also carrying the newborn in the car seat. Loads of people use them, I'll definitely be
