Thanks for updating the list @ChampooPapi. It's so lovely to see all the numbers marching on, and sexes being added.

Welcome and congratulations @SunnySideUp2020!

I met up with a local lactation consultant this morning. I struggled to establish bf with DS, and then he went on nursing strike at 10 weeks, so wanted to be very prepared this time. She's absolutely lovely, we chatted for an hour just about DS's birth and first couple of days. It's really helped restore my confidence.

Sorry to hear that you've had this added stress @MrsB16, and that you had to do it alone. Hopefully the high BP was just stress from attending the appointment. Can't believe she's such a good weight already - my friend's DD weighed that at term! (Her placenta was failing, but they missed it)

BecsterG · 28/07/2020 17:51

@MrsB16 sounds like a good plan. I'm finishing up on 3rd September as I have leave to take too so will officially start Mat leave on 21st September.

Remind me, is this your first baby?

I suddenly feel very pregnant. I have sciatic pain constantly above my right bum cheek, I'm uncomfortable and the acid reflux has been pretty bad this last few weeks.

@SunnySideUp2020 I always went from LMP until the dating scan, so you’d be 4+3 by that! I’m guessing it’s 4 weeks exactly if you go by ovulation?

BecsterG · 28/07/2020 18:11

@FireflyGirl that's really interesting, my DS did the same at 10 weeks. Would feed during the night but as soon as it was 6:30 he's refused and screamed blue murder. He also fed for 1.5 hours so really hope I can establish better techniques etc this time. You'd recommend then?

Leok83 · 28/07/2020 18:32

@SunnySideUp2020 so good to see you on this thread! From your LMP date you'd be due 10 days after me! Im getting 24th March on the apps so would be early April 👶 !

@ChampooPapi I might join the list next week all going well. Getting a free reassurance scan next Tuesday at EPU and should be 7 weeks then.
Although my MMC was at 9 weeks but was measuring at 8+4 so don't think I'll have too much reassurance even at 7 weeks still so will prob get another private early one at 9 weeks then if all ok at 7 week one.

ChampooPapi · 28/07/2020 19:51

@SunnySideUp2020 oh absolutely I would have added those things too, you need to be a bit badass with a pregnancy after a miscarriage, no messing 💪. I have a sneaky suspicion you are a few days further then you may think, will all be confirmed date wise at a scan at around 8 weeks, then they will 'fix' your due date at the twelve week one. Awful luck having this cyst, being away though seeing mum and having that fiance around, this couldn't have happened at a better time for you. Great due date potentially too, end of March (my other two are March girls 🙌). Got to love a spring baby, it's grand 💜

Oh brilliant @Leok83 about your scan on Tuesday next week, I'm having my 24 week one the same day so I'll update the list when you update us that evening hopefully. This week needs to bugger off doesn't it really? It's doing that snail pace thing again and I'm not keen! Pre scan snail times where a day feels like two 🙄

ChampooPapi · 28/07/2020 19:57

@TerribleImagination yes i'd be inclined to think she's more like 4 weeks three days as I'd go from lmp as well as her tests being strong and dark. I have with my last pregnancies and always been pretty spot on or a day or two more then I thought

SunnySideUp2020 · 28/07/2020 20:03

I think to be Conservative i said i was 4 weeks today at the lab...
But perhaps should go from LMP like some of you said.

Also when did you start having nausea?

Want to plan the legal ceremony for our wedding in early October so thinking if it works out how it will be 😅

BecsterG · 28/07/2020 20:58

Sounds about right @SunnySideUp2020.

I started to feel sick about week 6 and it dramatically reduced by 9/10 weeks and gone completely by 13 weeks but it was so mild the last few weeks really.

So much exciting stuff for you to look forward to.

TerribleImagination · 28/07/2020 21:05

@SunnySideUp2020 My nausea started bang on 6 weeks! Got worse in week 12, then eased up from 13 weeks. It hasn’t gone totally though, is just much more manageable now! I’m hoping it buggers off completely soon 😂

ChampooPapi · 28/07/2020 21:15

@SunnySideUp2020 I still can't believe your on a pregnancy thread, I'm made up for you! We have been waiting for more bfp the last few months and I have been hoping so much especially that the women who have been trying for over six months would appear here. I bet you are soo done with sex for a while though right 😆

SunnySideUp2020 · 28/07/2020 22:16

@ChampooPapi 😂 well actually it's the opposite! Now that the weight of ttc has been lifted i actually enjoy sex more 😁
We still have it every other day...

ChampooPapi · 28/07/2020 22:29

@SunnySideUp2020 haha! Brilliant! The relief of not 'trying' is unbelievably good, it makes sex so complicated emotionally and without that it is just sex isn't it, which is just liberating.

However I am incredibly lazy and got veeery sick fairly quickly and now I'm a human porpoise practically so I can say after a handful of half-hearted attempts i am happy to be celibate now untill post baby. I also just can't be bothered 😆

SunnySideUp2020 · 29/07/2020 09:04

@ChampooPapi 😂😂 you make me laugh
I hope when if i get to this stage, my DP will be as patient as yours 😅

Also anyone worried about line progression?

MilsCookie · 29/07/2020 09:36

@SunnySideUp2020 this was my line progression - you can see they were kind of all over the place! Which really freaked me out! But I tried to remember that they depend on how concentrated my urine was etc. I also think my hcg levels only obviously rose every 72 hours, not every 48 hours. I think as long as there's a line, you're fine. But I did worry so I can't really talk! 🤦🏼‍♀️ in terms of nausea, this time round I haven't had ANY! Like literally none. I've just had horrendous headaches instead 🤦🏼‍♀️ so please don't worry if you don't get any sickness - I don't think it's a reliable indicator of anything! How are you feeling at the mo? Any symptoms? I'm so excited you're on the group!! 😘

Ejb86 · 29/07/2020 09:38

@SunnySideUp2020 WHEN you get there, not if! I was worried about line progression, but I have got past that now.

Just counting down to my next scan, 2 weeks and 5 days to go!

FireflyGirl · 29/07/2020 10:02

Morning, chatty ladies!!

Think your line is dark enough you don't need to worry about progression, @SunnySideUp2020. My nausea started at 6 weeks dead on with DC1, and lasted until I was about 6 months. With this one, it started more or less as soon as I got my bfp but mostly settled by 16 weeks.

Baby is very happily settled on my right side. Don't think she's transverse anymore, looking at the shape of the bump when I lay. It's really weird - if I lay on my right, it looks like a flat bump, if I lay on my left it's quite flat on the left side of my bump and then there's a really obvious lump just to the right of my belly button that's about 4 inches round Confused

Between the size of the bump, round ligament pain, the sensitivity of my boobs, and the pain in my hips DH and I are struggling to DTD, which is really frustrating. Especially as my hormones are going haywire!

Leok83 · 29/07/2020 11:20

@ChampooPapi thanks! It will be a long week until next Tuesday! I'm off work for a couple of weeks though so hopefully it'll speed it up a bit and hopefully it'll be here before we know it!

@SunnySideUp2020 I did check line progression daily until 14DPO and got 2-3 weeks on CB, then I did one more CB last Friday and got 3+ so I'm finished with the tests now. I know everything says not to do them but it's hard not to!!

My Morning sickness (not vomiting just nausea) chose to arrive yesterday at 6 weeks and getting worse today. And of course this has coincided with a 2 night break away with all food included in a lovely hotel. So I'm currently struggling trying to eat the food😩 Then have to go to DH family for another few nights and try and hide the fact I'm sick..this will not be easy!

SunnySideUp2020 · 29/07/2020 12:41

AHHH THANKS EVERYONE for replying 🙏
You cannot imagine the relief to read that i am not alone😅

My blood test came back and i was 196 mlU of hcg at 14 dpo and progesterone past the spectrum for first trimester. So i feel a little relieved now. The numbers are higher than expected and i hope it stays like this.

Also got immunity for toxoplasmosis which is awesome news for me as i am going to see my cats on Friday at my mum's and wouldn't have been able to keep the distance 🥰😍

All other tests came back good! 🌈

@FireflyGirl
You are not selling me late pregnancy sex 😁😁

SunnySideUp2020 · 29/07/2020 12:43

@Leok83 bless you!!!
I heard salt and vinegar crisps helped ?!
Such a shame though that you are feeling rough on your break ... hope you enjoy regardless x

ChampooPapi · 29/07/2020 20:19

@Leok83 oh God it's awful, it's like the last bloody evilness of the whole conception trying, emotional turmoil abuse, horribleness. You think 'oh my god I am so happy this is the best thing in the world, god I'm anxious about the baby this time but I can't believe how lucky I am to be pregnant again....' then the sickness begins, and as it goes on all that luckyness, all that joy is totally consumed by basically being a terminal patient on her last legs constantly. It's like the world's cruel practical joke to make you feel your mortality or something! It's horrendous. If you've been through it, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I can hand on heart say though you will get through it, you will get to the other side, but you need help from your partner and support. You need to eat almost continuously, you need to stock up on sparkling water, because normal water will make you feel sick not doubt if your like me or pretty much every other woman who has suffered hard with morning sickness in the first trimester. Ginger is shit also. It's just shit. Obv any kind of biscuit can be a life saver so if it has ginger in it so be it, but you need carbs, carbs and more carbs to keep yourself from actually vomiting as much as possible. Give up cleaning your teeth when it's really bad. Trust me, you will throw up and that defeats the object of teeth cleaning.

But you will get through, you have to ride it out hour by hour, day by day. One thing it does is make you forget most of the anxiety about the baby because you are so dead from it and you have more important things to worry about, like not laying on the floor in the fetal position 😆🤦. God I feel you. It's not ok is it!

Good news, your in the worse storms of it, a few weeks down the line you will be a little better, and it goes slowly upwards from there.

I hope your partner is being very understanding, I would say if you suffer the constant quease is 100 percent worse then labour or the third trimester or have a newborn , especially having a newborn, that's delicious! But you know what I'm getting at, you are going through a incredibly hard time, and you do not have to carry on as normal. You need as much rest as possible lovely and remember keep eating and drinking how we bad it feels, it will help and make you stronger 🥰

ChampooPapi · 29/07/2020 20:22

And fruit, you need fruit !

FireflyGirl · 29/07/2020 21:09

I find satsumas the best - easy to eat, not too messy, juicy and sweet. And grapes, though they don't tend to be as juicy.

MrsB16 · 29/07/2020 21:11

Yes @BecsterG first baby but there will certainly be no rest period for me before she arrives as our sellers have just said they won’t be ready to complete next week so it’s looks like I’m going to be moving into my new house at 36/37 weeks!!

I was meant to be swapping hospitals etc but after my BP scare and now moving so late I think I’m going to stay at my original hospital just in case I get lost in the system and go into labour early!

To top it all off we are currently living in temporary accommodation that was kindly given to us by family whilst their sale was going through ( we had to move out of our flat during lockdown as it took us 2 years to sell it and we couldn’t risk losing the buyer who were desperate to move in) but now the temporary accommodation has been sold and completion is next week (we had lined it up so we could move from here to our new house but now our sellers have let us down) so now we face having to move again for a few weeks into another flat before moving into our new house. It’s means that I would have moved 3 times during this pregnancy and twice in the third trimester... bitten off more that I can chew springs to mind!

I’m also sad that I’m desperate to best but have no where to do it. I’m living out of boxes and suitcases and sometimes even struggle to find a pair of pant that fit. The amount of ASOS and M&S orders I’ve done purely because I can’t find my clothes is terrible! I have no nursery, and a next to me and a pram that are still in boxes and will have to stay that way until we move or she decides to make her appearance. Either way I’m feeling woefully unprepared and unsettled for impending motherhood!

MrsB16 · 29/07/2020 21:12

That was meant to be desperate to nest!
