Thanks @RunnerGirl123 just got to the hospital now!
Super excited x

RunnerGirl123 · 03/06/2020 09:35

@nearlyamummyof3 I'm excited for you!! Keep us updated!

@firstbabybell same here! Very strange indeed! Oh well, just one of those pregnancy things I suppose lol.

110APiccadilly · 03/06/2020 09:36

@RunnerGirl123 Could you ask them to do another test when you've finished the antibiotics?

I've done my repeat sample - midwife said the results of the first one were consistent with contamination with skin cells so I'm not as worried now! (It seems like that's something that's quite likely to happen.)

nearlyamummyof3 · 03/06/2020 09:49

Hi everyone,
Just waiting to see the doctor - the scanner could see i was having two boys so that's super exciting!
But they think I have the start of TTS as one baby has a lot more fluid then the other!
I'm terrified waiting to see a doctor now

lionsmum · 03/06/2020 09:50

Hi everyone🙋🏼‍♀️ how are we all doing? Thank you for all your well wishes, I know I've been a bit quiet, was pretty shaken after my two seizures last week but things seem to have calmed down a bit now touch wood. Had a scan on Monday which shows baby is fine and well (thank goodness), they really are resilient little things! Is that everyone over the 12 week scan stage now? How exciting!🥰

lionsmum · 03/06/2020 09:52

@nearlyamummyof3 congratulations on your baby boys, how wonderful💙 I've just had to look up TTS, I'm so sorry you are going through this, what a scary time for you! Sending you lots of love💖

nearlyamummyof3 · 03/06/2020 09:55

Thanks sorry should of put that in TTS basically means one of my babies they've said has a lot more fluid then the other baby.
So the other one might start taking more food etc.
I don't think it normally starts this early.
Waiting to see what they say now

Thanks @lionsmum

I am happy it's boys going to have a gang of 3 little boys 💙

MummyShark97 · 03/06/2020 10:10

@nearlyamummyof3 virtual hugs x It must be really scary, I hope you're okay and glad you've got drs looking after you and picking things up early x

nearlyamummyof3 · 03/06/2020 11:04

So one of my little boys has a lot more fluid fluid then the other which means I have a 50% chance of TTS where they would need to do laser surgery in vitro.
I have to be scanned by consultants every week now.
I'm a bit of a wreck. Very happy I'm having 3 boys but totally scared and worried for my little baby who's not getting enough.
Fingers crossed he's getting more when I go next week.
I'm hoping we can finally move into our house so I can get to the new hospital as I want to get to know my new team if something is wrong.

Hope everyone is well today ❤️
It's been a saving grace being able to come on her and vent in a safe space so thanks everyone 💕😂

nearlyamummyof3 · 03/06/2020 11:04

I didn't mean to do a laughing face at the end then!

firstbabybell · 03/06/2020 11:14

@nearlyamummyof3 - blue ones, how exciting!!! 💙💙💙

Sorry to hear about the risk of TTS, hopefully it doesn't progress.

Must be so lovely to know what you're having!

@lionsmum glad all ok with your little one & you are well xxx

nearlyamummyof3 · 03/06/2020 11:24

I'm glad you're well and scan was well @lionsmum 🥰

RunnerGirl123 · 03/06/2020 11:29

@nearlyamummyof3 yay 2 boys! Lovely to know the gender so early. Sorry to hear of the tts worries but they're prioritising your care so all 3 of you will be well looked after.

@lionsmum lovely to hear from you, glad to hear your both doing will.

@pinktruffle I had my consultant appointment this morning, he hadn't heard of Inofolic either so said it wasn't something the nhs has on their recommended list but I'm still gona take it. Then again he wasnt sure why I was on extra medication in the first place either. Seems very relaxed about everything lol. I've been discharged from consultant care now and will be midwife led, unless I have signs of GD later on in the pregnancy. He says the plan for me is simple, even with the fetal abdominal cyst.

RestorationInsanity · 03/06/2020 11:38

@nearlyamummyof3 am sorry today's appointment came with extra stress. Really hope it doesn't worsen and glad that they are so on top of monitoring etc.

@lionsmum glad baby is well, and hope you are too!

On a much less important note, I just opened the envelope for my 28 and 34 week scans and they've recorded my due date on them as 30 December, so all tests are scheduled for a month later than needed! I really need them to have fixed it by 20 week scan as that's the last time I will see someone before having the 28 week bloods. One more thing to clear up at my 16 week phone appointment!

RestorationInsanity · 03/06/2020 11:38

Sorry not scans, blood tests

Pinktruffle · 03/06/2020 11:44

@RunnerGirl123 Thank you for the update. It was my NHS infertility consultant that told me to take it! But as you said, I dont think it's something that's well known. I'm aware that the only posaible side effect of too much folic acid on the baby is younger tie so I think I'm going to stick to once a day rather than twice and if my tests come back saying I have GD I will go back up to twice a day. I've had a blood test for GD already but at 13 weeks, it was quite early.

@nearlyamummyof3 Congratulations on finding out about your boys. I'm sorry it came with some bad news but being monitored every week is a good thing and hopefully both little boys will be fine. My cousin had twin boys and she had the same thing, both were born at full term but one was much smaller than the other, they are both 11 now.

Eskdale2004 · 03/06/2020 12:03

Hope everyone is doing ok. It’ll take me a while to catch up - were filling threads so quickly! Currently putting off changing DD’s nappy 🤢 sickness has reared it’s head over the last few days.

Anyone else suffering with headaches? I’m on the look out thanks to having gestational hypertension with my last. Not so much a headache today, no pain just slight ‘pressure’. If I do have pain it’s mostly relieved with paracetamol. Apart from the occasion slight swelling in my fingers, I have no other hypertension symptoms.

roro87 · 03/06/2020 12:38

@nearlyamummyof3 congratulations on the boys that is so exciting for you. I think it is very positive that they seems to be taking it seriously and will be closely monitoring it. Hopefully it will all be ok.

Beccarans89 · 03/06/2020 13:08

@nearlyamummyof3 congratulations on your boys, that's such lovely news!!

Sorry to hear about the risk of TTS, totally understand that must have been a scary morning for you. Very good to hear that they are taking it seriously though and you will be monitored closely.

RunnerGirl123 · 03/06/2020 13:31

@Pinktruffle same here, it was my nhs fertility consultant that recommended it for me too but I guess they are more specialist in terms of infertility and gynaecology?? I don't know. Maybe I'll do a but more research later and cut down to 1 sachet too, but the website does recommend you to keep taking it. I was tested last week too, at nearly 13 weeks but they've not said anything so I assume my blood sugar levels are okay!

RunnerGirl123 · 03/06/2020 15:06

I've just checked all my notes about my bloods and the scan following today's appointment and they've put I should get another scan at 15 weeks as they couldn't get an accurate CRL on the day, so they wana try date from head circumference... so that's exciting, another chance to see bub! I was considering getting a private scan for around 16 weeks to check on progress anyway, so may be able to time that a couple of weeks later and see if we can find out gender then too! I just need to ring up the scan department to check if it has been booked in, so will do that later!

NaomiB79 · 03/06/2020 18:11

@nearlyamummyof3 how exciting to find out you are having two boys! 💙💙. Sorry it wasn’t all good news but sounds like they will keep a really close eye on you, which is a good thing. Take care

kkr168 · 03/06/2020 19:50

@nearlyamummyof3 congratulations on finding out your having 2 boys, I don't know anything about tts but I'm sure you will be in the best of hands, with lots of people monitoring your pregnancy.

My pregnancy pillow still hasn't arrived, yet all the clothing I ordered did? The pillows still saying due on the 12th, makes no sense that I ordered 1st, yet appear to be receiving it last, it had better be worth the wait. On a plus the next size up knickers I ordered have made a huge difference, so much more comfortable!

RestorationInsanity · 03/06/2020 20:44

@kkr168 what pillow have you gone for? I've finally ordered mine, went for the Kally Sleep u shaped pregnancy pillow.

I'm still on the hunt for knickers. I want some that come higher up as the band of mine all sit low down right where the sort of initial uterus bump is, it's not painful, but makes me feel like I've got two bellies!

peachypetite · 03/06/2020 20:52

My Asda pillow came super quick!
I treated myself to these bad boys, so unsexy and so comfy!!! They come high up. tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/p/Monochrome-%26-Grey-Midi-Knickers-7-Pack/136892600-White?searchTerm=:newArrivals&searchProduct=
