@nearlyamummyof3 Good luck with the surgery, sounds like you're in very good hands! We are all thinking of you ❤️

nearlyamummyof3 · 10/06/2020 17:40

Hi everyone - I'm already out of surgery! From scan to surgery to ward in 3 hours the NHS is amazing!
It was very painful and we don't know anything till they scan in the morning.
He said it went well but there was some bleeding inside
I got to see my babies face on the screen though with the camera which was amazing!
Very tired now.
Thanks for all the love you are a great bunch ❤️

peachypetite · 10/06/2020 17:41

Hi @nearlyamummyof3 rest up Flowers

ChampooPapi · 10/06/2020 17:54

@nearlyamummyof3 I am sorry to log on and see your update. I know that it's very good to have been spotted and now you've had the surgery but it is just such a awful and scary experience for you to be going through. I just can't imagine what your going through right now, but we are all here for you. I'm absolutely devastated that you've had to experience this situation, the surgery sounds really horrible and painful, you have done so well today. Love and hugs to you. Thank goodness they spotted it and you're in hospital, I know it must be terrifying at times but you are in the best place and the best hands xx

@nearlyamummyof3 try to have a good sleep xxxx

RunnerGirl123 · 10/06/2020 18:06

@nearlyamummyof3 I'm sorry you've had such a rollercoaster of an afternoon! But it sounds as though you and the babies have been their utmost priority and you've been well looked after so far! Are they able to help with the pain you're in at all? Rest up and try to get some sleep tonight, hopefully you'll be back home tomorrow with your oh and little boy.

MummyShark97 · 10/06/2020 18:15

@nearlyamummyof3 so glad it went well! Rest up lovely, we're all here! x

NaomiB79 · 10/06/2020 18:54

@nearlyamummyof3 glad you are out of surgery and resting now. We’re all thinking of you and your babies and hoping the surgery achieves what you had hoped for. Take care and rest loads ❤️

Awkes · 10/06/2020 20:09

@nearlyamummyof3 wow can’t believe it’s all happened that quick for you but better to do what needs to be done asap. Glad surgery went well for you and hoping you and babies are resting and back to normal soon ❤️

Kj1010 · 10/06/2020 20:24

@Kj1010 unless your friend is trained in reviewing scan photos I would go with what the professionals have told you! It’s very difficult to make anything out on a scan at this stage using an untrained eye. If the person doing the scan said everything was okay I’d focus on that.

RestorationInsanity · 10/06/2020 20:41

Is your friend a sonographer @Kj1010?

The person who performed your scan is a qualified professional who will know exactly what they are looking for. If at this point the cartilage/bone isn't that formed for the ear it won't show on an ultrasound (am not sure when the outer ear forms).

Please don't worry. If they told you everything looks fine, then they must feel confident that it does. Xx

Kj1010 · 10/06/2020 20:46

Thankyou all been googling 13 weeks scan pics and alot are like mine so feel relieved

RunnerGirl123 · 10/06/2020 21:03

@Kj1010 if the sonographer said all was fine, then that is what you need to trust. If they see anything they don't think is okay, they would tell you. Remember a scan photo is a snapshot of a moving picture so you can't really diagnose anything from one. I think your scan picture is lovely and really clear!

peachypetite · 10/06/2020 21:03

My goodness what on earth was your friend thinking making a comment like thatHmm

RestorationInsanity · 10/06/2020 21:10

On most of my 13 week scan pics it looks like the baby has no legs! It was kicking them so much they could hardly get them on a still. 😂

Awkes · 10/06/2020 21:21

My OH freaked at one of our scan pics where baby has just a disembodied arm ending in what looks like an oven glove for a hand 😂 we are both terribly unphotogenic so makes sense baby is just as bad

Kj1010 · 11/06/2020 08:12

Morning all ty for you comments cal.ed me down massively u are right in what u said so I'm gonna relax and start to enjoy xxx

roro87 · 11/06/2020 08:28

@kj1010 I wouldn't heed your friend if the sonographer said everything is OK then it probably is they have a duty of care. Also in the picture are all your details now none of us care but just in case someone is looking on this in a few years or something. sorry probably seems like I'm correcting you but I'm not I've done it before too and someone warned me.

ChampooPapi · 11/06/2020 08:33

@Kj1010 your baby looks lovely and perfect. Glad the ladies have reasuured you.

@roro87 is correct and I have reported your scan post so it's deleted and you can repost with your deets cropped out ☺️
