@nearlyamummyof3 oh I'm so sorry you've had that experience. You're there for your appt now right? Really hope it goes okay and big hugs x

chubbyhotchoc · 10/06/2020 14:17

@Pinktruffle i really think it would be a waste of money. You're not going to get any info that you won't get online. I went to one free class and the woman spent half of it talk about the benefits of aromatherapy in labour. I guarantee you a lavender bag wafted under your nose when you're in labour is the last thing you're going to want.

Pinktruffle · 10/06/2020 14:22

@chubbyhotchoc I have quite a big family, I've been bought up around babies and have changed more nappies than I've had hot drinks. I know it's different with your own child but I am fairly confident with looking after a newborn - the only bits I'm worried about is night time care/sleeping as that's the only bit I've never really done all by myself. Along with the actual birth actually. I'm fairly well read and studied a lot of child development during my degree which covers pregnancy and labour but I definitely need an update. I think the majority of the course will be useless for me, it is literally just to meet people.

chubbyhotchoc · 10/06/2020 14:22

@nearlyamummyof3 good luck !

nearlyamummyof3 · 10/06/2020 14:41

Hi all I have full blown TT

roro87 · 10/06/2020 14:45

@nearlyamummyof3 Does this mean they will have to carry out the surgery now? forgive me I'm totally ignorant in this regard. I'm sending you virtual hugs and hoping for the best for you. It must be so difficult especially with them being so dismissive

lionsmum · 10/06/2020 14:47

Oh @nearlyamummyof3 I'm so sorry, not the news you wanted to hear at all😥 has the consultant given you a plan of what will happen and how you/the babies will be monitored? I know these feelings of having a poorly baby, but you will find strength to tackle this! sending you so much love!🌟

Pinktruffle · 10/06/2020 14:48

Aww I'm so sorry @nearlyamummyof3. Have they said what this will mean and what the next steps are? Will it just be monitoring or will they need to intervene?

chubbyhotchoc · 10/06/2020 14:48

@Pinktruffle the nighttime stuff baby will tell you what's what lol but yes anything like that is good for meeting other mums.

nearlyamummyof3 · 10/06/2020 14:58

Sorry I didn't meant to send it like that!
I am being prepped for surgery now. And will stay in over night.
I'm terrified but they know what they are doing and is a surgery they do all the time. I have and 80% chance of both babies surviving.
My partner has to stay with our son so can't comeX

nearlyamummyof3 · 10/06/2020 15:00

The hospital are being wonderful but it's so scary and with the virus I'm terrified to stay over night.
I have nothing with me!

chubbyhotchoc · 10/06/2020 15:04

@nearlyamummyof3 I'm so sorry. Fingers crossed the surgery goes well xx

Pinktruffle · 10/06/2020 15:06

@nearlyamummyof3 wow that's really fast but reassuring that they are getting straight on to it. Can anyone come and drop your stuff in for you? Hospitals are the cleanest they have ever been so try not to worry about the virus, just focus on you and the little beans. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you, sending you lots of love xxx

RestorationInsanity · 10/06/2020 15:10

@nearlyamummyof3 I'm so sorry. It must be so scary for you, for lots of reasons. I'm sure they will take excellent care of you and your babies and you have all of us behind you sending you all of our best wishes. X

Teaandbiscuits123 · 10/06/2020 15:17

@nearlyamummyof3 so sorry to hear ☹️ It must be so hard being there alone but know that we are all thinking of you and here for you 😘 xxx

kkr168 · 10/06/2020 15:18

Oh @nearlyamummyof3 I'm so sorry it wasn't better news, sending you lots of love xx

MummyShark97 · 10/06/2020 15:20

@nearlyamummyof3 I am so sorry, truly hurting for you. We are all with you for a handhold and to support you, though I know it's not the same as having someone there with you at such a scary time. I know you and your babies are in the best hands. All the very best from all of us and lots of love, really thinking of you and your little bundles xx

lionsmum · 10/06/2020 15:23

@nearlyamummyof3 my goodness, what a whirlwind of a time for you! but as you say it is an operation they do all the time and you will be in and our very quickly. The hospital staff will be taking great precautions to protect you and themselves from the spread of Covid so although I know it's a scary time, try to focus on you and your little ones. They will be doing everything possible to keep the 3 of you safe! Wishing you a safe surgery & speedy recovery💖

nearlyamummyof3 · 10/06/2020 15:27

Thanks all you don't know how reassuring it has been to come and vent here!
I'm just waiting to go in - the surgeon is berg kind and everyone is so nice.
It's my partners first night alone with our son as well! Extra anxiety but he's great with him!
I might get a full nights sleep for the first time in 9 months (silver linings...)

Will be back here tomorrow probably x

chubbyhotchoc · 10/06/2020 15:28

@nearlyamummyof3 did you say you're at the women's? In Liverpool?

nearlyamummyof3 · 10/06/2020 15:34

I'm at St Georges in London at the moment @chubbyhotchoc moving to Liverpool in the next two weeks! Hopefully!

chubbyhotchoc · 10/06/2020 15:36

@nearlyamummyof3 the women's is excellent. You'll get brilliant care there for sure! X

nearlyamummyof3 · 10/06/2020 15:42

Thanks @chubbyhotchoc that's what I thought. Hopefully we can get to Liverpool this weekend to view the house and I can transfer there.

EithneBlue · 10/06/2020 15:59

Good luck @nearlyamummyof3 - you are in good hands: wishing you and babies a safe surgery
