@chubbyhotchoc oh great! Do you have a link? I’m rubbish at finding threads on here. 🙈

chubbyhotchoc · 06/06/2020 14:27

@PipTed im rubbish myself. If you go to topics at the bottom, then pregnancy, there's a thread called your top 3 and one called an idiots guide to baby clothes

PipTed · 06/06/2020 14:44

@chubbyhotchoc 🙈😂 fab. If I never come back on this thread, you know why, I’ve fallen down a Mumsnet rabbit hole.

Amyyy1 · 06/06/2020 16:57

Ordered myself a huge pregnancy pillow today to see if that can help my sleep and horrid back pain🤣 If all else fails it's a nice barrier from my DP and his scorching body temp lol x

kkr168 · 06/06/2020 19:35

Which one did you for for @Amyyy1
Mine finally arrived today, I cannot wait to go to bed!!

Pinktruffle · 06/06/2020 20:03

This may sound like an incredibly stupid question but I've never been 15 weeks pregnant before. I've read people on here saying that they forget that they are even pregnant, my experience has been quite different, I'm very aware all the time and can feel the pressure in my belly unless I'm sat in one spot and not moving. I'm not in pain but it is certainly uncomfortable and I am constantly aware of it. Is that normal?

chubbyhotchoc · 06/06/2020 20:13

@Pinktruffle I think it depends on lots of factors like your build and where the placenta is. I feel odd tbh. I've felt very heavy and lots of pressure. I definitely know today because she's prodding me quite a bit.

Snowwhite2020 · 06/06/2020 20:47

@Pinktruffle and @chubbyhotchoc I have a feeling of pressure in my belly now which is definitely beginning to “pop”. I have also had a slightly stabby short pain (very brief and not bad pain) just below my belly button a couple of times the last 24 hours. Could that be the baby kicking? Or something else? I have anterior placenta so was told might not feel movement until 20/21 weeks xx

chubbyhotchoc · 06/06/2020 20:51

@Snowwhite2020 baby movements are not normally painful. I find it more like a dull popping sensation and occasional prodding. I did have a lot of pain on my stomach a few weeks ago to the point I was panicking but with hindsight I think everything was stretching. First babies you pop later with so I would imagine it's just your uterus rising higher and everything clicking into place.

Pinktruffle · 06/06/2020 20:52

I've had that @snowwhite2020 but just above my belly button (so unlikely to be baby in my case) it lasts about 30 seconds and then goes.

I've been getting lots of stretchy pains around my groin again which I think is just round ligament pain.

I am quite slight to be fair @chubbyhotchoc. I'm 5'6" and non-pregnant, I weigh 8st 6. I've put on some weight, I'm nearly 8st 10 now, but my belly is huge - mainly with bloat I think, I definitely can't forget I'm pregnant. Even the seatbelt digs in to the bump when I'm in the car.

RestorationInsanity · 06/06/2020 21:16

@Pinktruffle I'm still having to nap/rest in the afternoon most days, have terrible back pain (always suffer with my back anyway) and getting lots of what I presume are round ligament pains/other stretching. My boobs still hurt, seem to swell during the day, and still get tingly nipples. Definitely can't forget I'm pregnant, although I don't really look it!

chubbyhotchoc · 06/06/2020 21:21

@Pinktruffle crikey you are very slight at that weight. I feel like mama cass atm lol

PipTed · 06/06/2020 21:49

I forgot I was pregnant the last few days. My bump has disappeared 🙃 so I think that is contributing, but I have been getting a few headaches. I get the odd stretchy pain when I move off the couch or out of bed.

I think I’ve get some flutters too, when I lay flat before going to sleep. But can’t be too sure?!

Pe4nutsmum · 06/06/2020 21:55

@kkr168 I got one from Amazon, it was £45 I think but had lots of good reviews!

Amyyy1 · 06/06/2020 22:33

@Pe4nutsmum Those are lovely announcement photos 😍 Wish I had done something like that x

chubbyhotchoc · 06/06/2020 22:49

@Pe4nutsmum so cute!

chubbyhotchoc · 06/06/2020 22:58

I ordered one of these yesterday. I like this because even if there's anyone struggling ttc it shows it's been a journey for us too.

@nearlyamummyof3 good luck with the house viewing! We are house hunting too and everything we like, we seem to find a problem with. The right one will happen for us! I hope you find yours on Friday!

ChampooPapi · 07/06/2020 07:43

I'm umming and arring about my 16 week appointment Wednesday. She says it's in the local hospital, but I'm starting to not feel very keen about visiting the local hospital after seeing the rise the last week virus wise.

And if I change it to over the phone is there any point in having it?! If there was a pressing issue to discuss with her I can ring them and leave a message anyway but I'm ticking over fine, nothing to report so to speak.

What is everyones thoughts on the situation out there concerning appointments? We have to wear masks now don't we if we go in

Mine is over the phone and I’m happy with that!

lionsmum · 07/06/2020 08:14

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend💖 it was on my mind and I was just wondering where everyone is at with their caffeine intake? I'm still having one or two cups of tea/coffee a day and I know the NHS guidelines start that's within limits I just wondered if you have all cut it out completely or still having?

Also re your appointment @ChampooPapi it's totally understandable you aren't keen to go, maybe try and speak to her before hand and see if there's any reasons why she feels it's important to do the appointment face to face. I have my 16 week appointment 2 weeks tomorrow with my consultant but I'll be getting scanned too so looking forward to it x

ChampooPapi · 07/06/2020 08:20

@lionsmum yes I'll give her a call tomorrow. If there was scanning involved I'd be there! But I from memory I'm pretty certain it's just blood pressure and potentially wee check. Considering doing the wee checks myself at home as you can buy the strips they use online.

I have the consultant at 20 weeks as well as the scan so only a little while to all that as well

OP posts:
chubbyhotchoc · 07/06/2020 09:46

@ChampooPapi I'm going to mine next week because I think they listen to the heartbeat but also because I want a consultant referral and she hasn't done it yet.
