PipTed · 04/06/2020 19:34

@pinktruffle @kkr168 @Icantthinkofanickname123456 Happy 15 weeks guys!

@Kj1010 I’m 31 and this is my first 😊

PipTed · 04/06/2020 19:34

*after previous miscarriage

Kj1010 · 04/06/2020 19:42

Thankyou 😊

Pe4nutsmum · 04/06/2020 20:06

So result came back, baby is a perfect healthy little BOY.

The nub whispherer got it wrong. It has taken me a little to digest it. But I'm over the moon and so is his big brothers.

Can't wait until tomorrow to tell the rest of the family xxx

kkr168 · 04/06/2020 20:20

@Pe4nutsmum congratulations on your baby boy.
I'm hoping the nub whisperer has got mine right, I'm getting more & more tempted by the day to book a private gender scan. The 20 week scan seems forever away, its not until 14th July.

NaomiB79 · 04/06/2020 20:23

Hi @Kj1010 welcome to the group. I’m 40 and pregnant with my first baby (I’ll be 41 when I give birth) and had a lot of the same anxieties as you about the increased risk of Down’s and other risks related to my age and weight. You’ll feel more re-assured after your scan and if there are any risks identified you’ll be well advised and looked after. My risk of Down’s was low which was a relief, hopefully yours will be too .

nearlyamummyof3 · 04/06/2020 20:50

Congrats on the boy @Pe4nutsmum 💙💙

Why not have a look at the prices @kkr168 we were booked in to have one before the nhs told us at 16 weeks - and it was only £45 and you can take a partner! ❤️

Awkes · 04/06/2020 21:13

Hi all 👋
Congrats @Pe4nutsmum 🥳
Hi @Kj1010 I’m 28 and first baby. Been given a scare about downs myself but feel very reassured after a scan today (14weeks) where they’ve seen all looks normal and also been flagged for the glucose for high bmi but spoken to loads of people who’ve had it and had healthy happy pregnancies with no issues so try not to worry yourself

@kkr168 I’ve just had a private scan (for reassurance) today and it was so worth it! Booked another one in 3 weeks where they’ll tell me gender because I’m dying to know but regardless would 100% recommend and can’t stop raving about how good it was

Snowwhite2020 · 04/06/2020 21:19

@Pinktruffle @PipTed I am also due 26.11.2020! I think @ChampooPapi is also?? How many of us are there!? Was it a full moon that night!? 😂 xx

chubbyhotchoc · 04/06/2020 21:40

@Awkes lovely news. Glad scan went well!

Awkes · 04/06/2020 21:42

@chubbyhotchoc thank you! Mad how much difference a day can make. Feeling miles better ❤️

Snowwhite2020 · 04/06/2020 21:44

@Awkes I am also really pleased for you 💖🌈

kkr168 · 04/06/2020 21:48

@snowwhite2020 its crazy isn't it, my due date was initially the 28th but was brought forward at my 12 week scan

@Awkes I more then likely will cave & go for a private scan, our local window to the womb is £59. I'm just being tight & thinking if I can wait 1-2 more weeks for a private scan then I can wait 5 weeks for the NHS scan, but I really, really want to know now Grin

ChampooPapi · 04/06/2020 21:53

@Pe4nutsmum congratulations 💜🙌, a gorgeous baby boy , I was hoping for at least one of those myself 😏. Do you remember what I guessed for yours? I need the hit of another prediction gone right 😆

Awkes · 04/06/2020 21:54

Thanks guys 🙏🏻

@kkr168 I thought that as ours was £65 (although lucky for us my soon to be mother in law has paid) but so so worth the money. Partner was able to come in and see baby for first time. We got 2 videos and about 20 pictures and a full 15 mins where the technician showed us baby head to toe and really gave us a great experience. Cannot stop raving about it! 😂

ChampooPapi · 04/06/2020 21:59

@Pe4nutsmum oh my god Ive only gone and done it again 😂 I guessed yours right (with the help of my coin!)

From last thread

And @Pe4nutsmum I am obsessed with your scan pictures! They are so clear and too cute 🥰👣 i'm literally just guessing though with the sex this time from my inspections as I look at one and think girl, then look at another and think boy. So I tossed a coin, heads for boy, tales for girl

It was heads so I anoint your baby team boy ☺️

Hello! Just catching up on this thread. I feel like time has stood still for me as I was put back 10 days at my 12 week scan so still just 14 weeks here. Feel like I’ve relived half my pregnancy now ha ha! Hopefully things move more quickly from here!

@Pe4nutsmum congrats on your lovely baby boy! I’m hoping for aanother boy too, although would be very happy with a girl too. Not long now to my 20 week scan and it’s the day before my DS’s birthday!

lockdown84 · 05/06/2020 06:22

@excitednerves - I feel you! My due date was 26th Nov, but I got put back 8 days at my 12 week scan. Had to relive a whole week of pregnancy... as if it wasn’t going slow enough already!! Roll on 20 week scan... 6 weeks to go!
@Kj1010 i’m 35 expecting my first...

peachypetite · 05/06/2020 06:52

Congrats @Pe4nutsmum.
Have been bidding on some bargain maternity wear on eBay. There really are some hidden gems on there. Hoping for a better day today than yesterday.

excitednerves · 05/06/2020 08:15

@lockdown84 so frustrating isn’t it! Let’s hope the next 6 weeks just rolls around quickly!

ChampooPapi · 05/06/2020 08:39

@Snowwhite2020 yes I was the 26th too! I bow down and worship your fabulous memory ! When I went for my 12 week scan though they put me back two days so I'm the 24th of November now. Also I didn't realize this but once they give you your due date at the 12 week scan it doesn't change, whatever your measuring. Makes sense obviously for lots of reasons but I totally didn't know that!

ChampooPapi · 05/06/2020 08:44

@Awkes so pleased your scan went well, we are rolling into the second trimester now 🙌. I might have missed it but are you having a boy or a girl? Or are you waiting to find out at 20 weeks?

RunnerGirl123 · 05/06/2020 08:48

Wow this thread moves so quickly, I couldn't keep up yesterday!

@Naomib79 sorry to hear you've had a worrying time but glad all is well with baby!

Welcome to the new people who have joined, this is such a welcoming and supportive thread and I love that our dats are all so close together so it doesn't feel like we're at different stages.

I can't believe how many of you are due the 26th Nov though. I'm due 1 week later on the 4th Dec, I'm 30 and this will be my first baby.

@Champoopapi I had heard because growth can vary so much in the second trimester, it's not that reliable to date the pregnancy after that. However I'm apparently being offered another scan at 15 weeks to measure the head circ to check against my dating scan as they were worried they couldn't get an accurate CRL measurement. I'm going to ring up the scanning department today to look into this. My date looked about right for my cycle and LMP so I didn't think anything of it at the time and think it's unlikely to change.

RunnerGirl123 · 05/06/2020 08:52

@Pe4nutsmum congrats on another boy!

Sorry if I've missed anyone else's news! I hope those who are still feeling a little rough start feeling loads better soon so you can enjoy your pregnancies!
