I hope everything works out for you @Hancock2020, it's a horrible position to be in.

I've just been for a walk and now I'm getting lots of muscle twitching in my upper thighs, very strange!

BeMorePacific · 01/06/2020 20:38

@mOmShanti oh god. If I saw my ex I think I’d pass out on the spot 🤢 Poor you!
I’m 18 weeks, and have started feeling movement (STM). Hopefully you’ll be feeling some soon, and that will give you reassurance. With my 1st baby I didn’t feel anything until 20 weeks. But everyone is different xxx

AnxiousLady1 · 01/06/2020 21:24

Yeah I'm only 17 weeks FTM and already getting worried about not feeling anything yet. 🙈 Despite everything saying it's between 18 and 24 weeks (and more likely the later end for FTM) I can't help but worry. Honestly, pregnancy seems to be moving from one worry to the next. And so may it continue for the next 18 years after they are born! 😂

SqidgeBum · 01/06/2020 22:05

@AnxiousLady1 I am 18 weeks today, second baby, and I still am not sure if I am feeling movement, and I know what to look for. It will come when it comes Smile but also if you have a placenta at the front it will take longer to feel the baby. I had one on DC1, and apparently have one this time around too, but the sonographer never mentioned it. My midwife told me last week when I saw her for the 16 week appointment and she listened to the heartbeat. So you may have a frontal placenta and not know.

Murphy1999 · 02/06/2020 08:31

I was 15 weeks yesterday with my second and I've been feeling movements for about a week but I know everyone is different, with my first I started feeling them at 15 Smile

seventhrow · 02/06/2020 16:37

Have been struggling quite a bit recently. A rare good pressure right now is 90/60, mostly it's 80/50, and then several times a week it goes down even further - it was 78/45 on Sunday. I may as well have been in a coma.

It's becoming really work disruptive... I can only properly concentrate for a few hours a day. Yesterday I just kept forgetting what I was supposed to be doing. Rereading the same email I'd written again and again and I couldn't tell whether it contained any errors or not. I had to pop into the office today... have just got home and feel completely shattered.

Really hoping this eases up soon. It's been going on for 4 weeks now and I feel so rubbish I get teary.

seventhrow · 02/06/2020 16:38

thinking of you and your husband @Hancock2020. fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Wise0wl · 02/06/2020 17:05

@seventhrow have you spoken to your midwife? My mum suffers from low BP and the only thing that helps is hydrating more and more.

I’ve been having terrible headaches the past few days so feel guilty for taking paracetamol but have to work!

So sorry @Hancock2020 - fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Addler · 02/06/2020 17:08

@seventhrow that sounds awful, has your midwife said anything about it? I keep seeing stars, but can't find an exact pattern. Sometimes it's when I stand up or move suddenly but sometimes just when I move my head or sit differently. I'm guessing it's a sudden drop in blood pressure.

Hancock2020 · 02/06/2020 20:12

@seventhrow @wise0wl thank you both.
I'm so scared, not going to get any sleep tonight.
In a positive note though I'm also picking up the pram tomorrow found a good bargain on facebook for one👍

MrsR87 · 02/06/2020 20:23

@Hancock2020

Good news about the pram. We’ve not even started looking yet! I shall keep everything crossed for you for tomorrow!

Hancock2020 · 02/06/2020 20:43

@MrsR87 thank you

Wise0wl · 02/06/2020 21:50

@Hancock2020 that’s excellent about the pram! I’ve not yet bought a thing.

I really hope it’s good news; let us know how it goes 🤞

wannabebump · 02/06/2020 21:51

@Hancock2020 that's exciting, making a big purchase! We've started looking online and getting ideas but I don't feel ready yet to buy anything!

Has anyone else bought things yet? X

OP posts:
FudgeFlies · 02/06/2020 22:15

@wannabebump we’ve bought bits that we really like, one or two baby grows/bodysuits or an outfit but nothing big yet! Have loads of things I have my eye on that I’ll probably start slowly getting after 20 week scan!
Also want to try prams out in the shops before we purchase one.

wannabebump · 02/06/2020 22:20

@FudgeFlies I'm the same about trying prams. FTM though so it's all whole new world! @Hancock2020 what pram did you go for?

I'm excited to start looking for things after 20 weeks x

Hancock2020 · 02/06/2020 22:33

@wannabebump silvercross wayfarer, i wasnt planning on getting a pram yet but at £100 for pram, car seat, and carrycot I cant turn it down really

NatalieH2220 · 03/06/2020 08:23

Good luck today @Hancock2020.I hope you get good news.

@wannabebump I've bought one T-shirt so far but that's all! I've been looking online at what I want to buy so after the 20 week scan will probably go on a bit of a shopping spree. Found a travel system for £200 so think we'll go for that. I used for less than a year last time so don't want to spend much at all.

wannabebump · 03/06/2020 08:47

@Hancock2020 absolutely, too good to pass up on x

@NatalieH2220 I've got my list ready for after 20 weeks 😂 I'm trying to hold off though until shops are open and some the chaos around reopening quietens down so I can pick things rather than internet ordering x

It’s so nice browsing baby clothes while pregnant - hope we can get to do this safely!

I’m not planning on buying anything except a new mattress for our next2me this time. Sounds like you got a total bargain @Hancock2020!

OurLittlePumpkin · 03/06/2020 10:10

I haven't bought anything big, waiting until after 20 week scan. My parents are buying our pram and DHs have said they'll get something else big. The only bits I've bought are a few Xmas baby grows in the sale from JoJo Maman Bebe and a unisex Xmas jumper 😂🎄 also some scratch mittens, booties and a Peter rabbit baby grow which is neutral and a potential runner for the "coming home" outfit!! It's been so nice browsing everything online, hoping the shops open when it's safe so we can shop properly.

SqidgeBum · 03/06/2020 10:32

The only thing I am buying is a second hand double buggy 😩 not particularly fun. If it's a boy I will have to get some clothes, but my DD had such gorgeous clothes that she barely wore so i am secretly hoping for a girl lol. I only packed her clothes away a few months before i found out i was pregnant. I loved buying everything last time around, except for the buggy, that was stressful (none of the car seats fit in my Skoda)

Wise0wl · 03/06/2020 10:33

I’ve not bought a thing but am so tempted! I’m also hoping to look in the shops when they open, I reckon if we hold out for July we might be ok to have a browse?

SqidgeBum · 03/06/2020 10:46

I didnt buy a buggy or car seat til 27 weeks on my first, i bought a moses basket at 30 weeks, and I didnt buy any clothes til about 33 weeks. We did paint the nursery at about 30 weeks too. Where I am from it's an old superstition that buying things for a baby before its born is bad luck, so I was a bit nervous buying too much. Honestly so many people bought me clothes when she was born that all I needed was a few baby grows, a hat, and somewhere for her to sleep. This time around I am getting the bare minimum clothes wise. It was ridiculous last time.

Wise0wl · 03/06/2020 10:49

@SquidgeBum my mum is a very keen shopper so I'm sure once we tell her (planning to tell parents next weekend I think) she'll start buying things!
