Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

@Mermaidlagoon I've got an appointment with a midwife at my local GP practice on the 1st July - however the first part is now over the phone because of covid. She said it usually lasts an hour and they make notes etc.
Then after the phone call is done I am going in to have my bloods taken.
Then they book for the 12week scan ☺️

Feelinghopeful4 · 02/06/2020 15:07

Hi everyone, just jumping on this thread, hope that’s ok! Congratulations to all who’ve had BFPs! I took a Clearblue digital test last Wednesday, two days after my period was due, and it was positive! I’m still in shock as this was our first month trying and I really didn’t expect it! I’ve only taken one test, should I being doing a second one to confirm? I’ve had quite a lot of cramping so far, which started about 5 days before I took my test but going by what everyone is saying it seems fairly normal. I’m going to book a private scan at around 8 weeks as 12 just seems so far away Smile! I have my midwife appointment over the phone in 3 weeks so I will be 8 weeks by that point (currently 5+1). It’s all so exciting/scary/mad and I feel maybe a little lonely until I feel ready to tell friends/family!

Bowtiesarecool5 · 02/06/2020 18:10

Hey hope yous don't mind if I join in. Congratulations on all the bfps! I got a positive test yesterday, expected due date 7th February! I have been so sick 🤮 I have a four year old daughter and I was sick from 6 weeks right up until the day she was born, here's hoping I don't experience the same again. Have requested to join the Facebook group too 😁

butterfly0701 · 02/06/2020 19:16

butterfly0701 · 02/06/2020 19:17

@harper04*

howlatthetrees · 03/06/2020 12:10

Good luck with your private scan today @butterfly0701

butterfly0701 · 03/06/2020 13:25

Thankyou @howlatthetrees xx

Strawbellie · 03/06/2020 13:44

Between 5 and 6 weeks today depending on irregular periods and have been sick for the first time, think the next 6 weeks are going to be long!
Anyone got any advice on how to cope with the sickness on a train commute to work, dreading it come Monday?

JemimaFuddleFuck · 03/06/2020 18:21

Hi everyone. Just jumping on with just my tippy toes.

I’m trying not to get too excited, but I got a ClearBlue 1-2 weeks today at 12dpo due date is 11th Feb according to my app, but I will (hopefully) be having an elective c-section so I’m assuming it will be at 39 weeks.

I currently have a just turned 11 month old, so we’re heading in the deep end.

Symptoms are different this time around - I really feel like my period is coming, which isn’t something I had with DC1 but I did have it with my miscarriage before DC1. I’ve got cramps and really sore boobs as well - again I didn’t have this with DC1, so basically I’m a ball of nerves.

I’m off to read the full thread now I’ve got this introduction out the way Grin also hoping this group lasts as with my first, everyone went over to Facebook which I’m not on!

butterfly0701 · 03/06/2020 19:07

@Harper04 @howlatthetrees the scan was amazing, lovely to see a heartbeat, measuring a tad further along at 8+5 , is due the day after my birthday now. The relief is amazing, it's given me the incentive to push through the sickness now xx

Harper04 · 03/06/2020 19:19

@butterfly0701 Yay I’m so pleased for you!! ❤️ I’m going to book a private scan today I think for 8 weeks! It’ll be worth it to lessen my anxiety!

@JemimaFuddleFuck hey! Congrats on your BFP! I feel as though my period is coming too with on and off cramps, I keep panicking and running to the toilet to check! Thats a lovey age gap btw! I have a two year old, I wish I had done it a little sooner now!

@Strawbellie bless you! I had sickness awful in my first pregnancy and nothing really helped fully but always having nuts in my pocket to chew on helped if I felt sick. Also, I mentioned it before but peggie preggo drops helped a bit!

Hi everyone! I've done a test today as my period was two days late. It came back positive so I did another just to be sure Smile I've not had any symptoms yet, so now I'm worried as most people seem to have had sickness. The only thing I have had is lower abdominal pains (which are the same as when I am due on my period). My due date according to the NHS website is 8th Feb x

howlatthetrees · 03/06/2020 19:20

Congratulations @JemimaFuddleFuck!

And brilliant news! @butterfly0701

JemimaFuddleFuck · 03/06/2020 19:30

Thanks for the congrats! We’re excited but pretending not to be so we don’t get ahead of ourselves.

@dueFeb2021 I didn’t have any sickness at all in my first pregnancy. I didn’t even really feel pregnant until about 18 weeks, everyone and every pregnancy is different so try not worry. wish I would listen to my own advice

@Harper04 I will definitely be having an early scan too - it but my mind at rest last time so I’m just going to do the same again.

Scarlettm · 03/06/2020 19:39

Hi everyone, jumping on the board with my BFP! Super nervous about this one because my last pregnancy in February was a tubal that ruptured at 6 weeks with no symptoms, and I miscarried the previous pregnancy.
It’s been a nightmare trying to get any blood work/ a scan to rule out another ectopic due to Covid, but finally got someone on my side and I’m going to have a scan next week at 5 weeks! Due date is also the 8th of feb
Congrats on everyone’s pregnancies!! 🥳🥳🥳

dueFeb2021 · 03/06/2020 20:14

@JemimaFuddleFuck! Thank you!! I think I just worry as I'm sure everyone else does!! How early can you get a private scan? If it says from 6 weeks, is that 6 weeks from the date of your last period? Or 6 weeks from conception? X

JemimaFuddleFuck · 03/06/2020 20:26

@dueFeb2021 yep! I’m a real worrier, which is why I’m trying to remain not too excited about this one.

It’s 6 weeks from LMP. Personally I would wait until 7/8 weeks though as you’re more likely to see something then. Also allows for if you have ovulated later etc.

In my last pregnancy I had one at 6 weeks 5 days. I will find the picture to show you what I saw.

JemimaFuddleFuck · 03/06/2020 20:29

@dueFeb2021 Here we go. If I remember correctly they put me back 2 days from this scan and we only saw a flicker for the heartbeat.

FEBRUARY 2021 DUE DATE
Harper04 · 03/06/2020 20:30

@dueFeb2021 congrats! Don’t worry if you’re not experiencing symptoms just yet, everyone is so different! Make the most of it before they kick in 😂 I’m going to book a scan in around 8 weeks just because I want to make sure they will be able to see a heartbeat.

@Scarlettm hey! Congrats! Sorry to hear about you previous MCs Flowers I know how you feel with the worrying, I’m ringing the GP back tomorrow about booking an early scan in next week because I’m so anxious after my last MC.

@JemimaFuddleFuck thanks so much! I think I will feel better if I have actually seen something.

@Harper04 yes true. Need to make the most of it. Bet I wake up feeling awful tomorrow now 🤣

Mermaidlagoon · 04/06/2020 06:40

Hi hope everyone is doing well. I've booked an early private scan for end of June when I'll be about 7 weeks 3 days. I'm probably being silly as I have no reason to be worried but I just feel really nervous at the idea of waiting till 12 weeks to even have any idea if everything is ok

Feelinghopeful4 · 04/06/2020 06:49

@mermaidlagoon I’ve also booked a private early scan 2 weeks on Monday, I’ll be 8 weeks. I feel the same as you, I’m just hoping for some reassurance. There are also a few friends/family I might tell at that point if things are ok (although I know 8 weeks would still be early days).

JemimaFuddleFuck · 04/06/2020 07:01

Morning all, How’s everyone feeling?

I’m going to try and book an early scan this morning. Unfortunately the one I used last time is still closed because of Covid. Which is a shame because they were cheap like £39 cheap!

@Feelinghopeful4 We told our parents after the early scan last time and my sister knew as soon as I got a positive test! I’ve already told my sister this time as well. Not sure when we will tell parents this time around.

Still got cramps and that horrible ‘period is coming’ feeling. Just hoping I can make it to Monday and I will finally get on board with this baby Grin

Sorry if I keep going on about my last pregnancy Confused but I was heavily pregnant this time last year so it feels very fresh!!

Feelinghopeful4 · 04/06/2020 07:10

@JemimaFuddleFuck yeah I think I’ll my mum after the scan. Only 2 of my close friends know so far and my boyfriend hasn’t told anyone. Do you find it hard having a secret? I definitely do!

My period-type cramps have eased off a bit the last day or so, I hope that’s not a bad sign? I felt really tired yesterday but haven’t actually had any nausea yet. I know it sounds odd but I kind of wish I would just as a reassuring symptom that somethings happening!
