Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

Think it depends on area but when I called doctors they said first 8 week appointment will be over the phone (3rd july) for me..hope to find out more then 🤞 I'm in Yorkshire so not sure it may differ elsewhere

Muriel84 · 22/06/2020 14:06

@lucyinthe I had a scan a week ago at 5+1ish and the discomfort I have on my right is from a “juicy” corpus luteum. It’s 2cm x 2cm. Quite common apparently.

@Rainbow5SF its really tough I don’t know what to do either. I’m not sure comments like your nurse said about not being able to stop the worse from happening are helpful. I feel most of the time I’m just waiting for this pregnancy to end. I am trying to stop myself from checking (e.g. discharge, squeezing boobs) for symptoms cos I’m pretty sure that’s making the anxiety worse. It would be amazing to feel excited about being pregnant!

OkyDoke · 22/06/2020 14:15

Thanks @rainbow5sf and @farmer20, that will be okay. Hopefully I can arrange for my morning off!

Rainbow5SF · 22/06/2020 14:16

@Muriel84 I hear you.
I know the nurse is right tho. Think we are going to pay for a private scan this week to check heartbeat. My 7 week is next Monday at the hospital but my husband can't go so...

I know I feel rough. I feel hungover and like there is a brick in my stomach.

One second I think 'allow yourself to enjoy this' then I think 'don't be a fool as prepare for the worst'.

Sending hugs x

@EmBrum thank you so much for replying! It's definitely helped with my obsessiveness! Xxx

Peach1204 · 22/06/2020 14:51

@OkyDoke I spoke to my dr last week, they emailed me the details to send through to the midwife team. I did that and received a response the next day booking me in for blood tests on 7th July and they are writing to me with an appointment for the scan. Hope this helps. Cxx

Peach1204 · 22/06/2020 14:52

@OkyDoke sorry forgot to say I'm Midlands based. Xxx

EmBrum · 22/06/2020 15:15

@Peach1204 no worries! I'm Midlands based too (you may have guessed!)
Had to chase up my doctor's referral today but hopefully I'll get my booking appointment and scan through very soon! Are you through the Women's too?

Peach1204 · 22/06/2020 16:12

@EmBrum I didn't even pick up on your name! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I think I'll probably be Warwick but having the knowledge that the children's hospital and the women's are close is reassuring as I've known a couple of friends who have given birth there. Xxx

Thegirlhasnoname · 22/06/2020 16:23

@OkyDoke mine is going to be face to face at the GP surgery but have to wear a mask. I’m based in West Yorks though and know it’s different everywhere

Muriel84 · 22/06/2020 17:23

@Rainbow5SF I know, it’s like I’m constantly punishing myself if ever I feel a little bit hopeful.

My 7 week scan is at the hospital next week as well we must be very close dates wise. It’s so horrible that partners can’t come. It just reinforces the feeling that we have to shoulder so much of this alone. I was considering a private scan this week but I can’t get an appointment after 5pm and I sort of want to avoid weekly scans. But it’s very tempting!

Rainbow5SF · 22/06/2020 19:10

@Muriel84 can your partner go to the private scan? That's how I've justified it to myself!!!

Muriel84 · 22/06/2020 19:23

@Rainbow5SF I think so! It’s one of those “window to the womb” ones. But they don’t have any space till the weekend and then my nhs scan is Tuesday.

lydiangel83 · 22/06/2020 19:45

Catching up on messages, have put on so much weight in a few weeks as can't stop eating to stop nausea. Boobs are getting huge already and I'm only 8-9 weeks! Have 12 wk scan booked for 15th July which feels ages away! I have anti nausea tablets from GP which help (first lot didn't but swapped drug) but cause a lot of trapped wind / tummy discomfort

Peach1204 · 22/06/2020 20:05

@lydiangel83 I've defs put weight on but because I'm so hungry! Xxx

TJM123 · 22/06/2020 20:44

Hi all, bit late to the party but I’ve just had a positive result 1 day after missing my P. very early still but looks like I’ll be due around 24 Feb! Phoned my GP and waiting to hear back. I have a DS age 3 but it will be a bit of a different experience this time I’m sure! Oh I’d love to join the FB group too :)

TJM123 · 22/06/2020 20:45

P.s. Really struggling with low blood pressure/feeling faint - anyone had the same and any tips??

TJM123 · 22/06/2020 20:46

*low blood sugar not pressure Blush

RubyFrench91 · 22/06/2020 20:57

I finally called for my booking appointment today. Surprised to find out they are doing my booking appointment face to face! And taking bloods Sad
I wasn’t expecting to see anyone really apart from the two scans

EmBrum · 22/06/2020 21:40

@Peach1204 ah Warwick will be great too, heard good things. Yes it is good having the Women's nearby. Best of luck :) xxx

Peach1204 · 22/06/2020 21:52

@EmBrum thank you! And to you too! Xxx

Rainbow5SF · 23/06/2020 08:23

@Muriel84 yeah my scan is Monday so trying to decide if to go private tomorrow or Friday. They aren't open Thursday.
I'm terrified as I have such a bad feeling x

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 23/06/2020 14:29

If I booked a scan at 6+2, would there be a visible heartbeat?

OkyDoke · 23/06/2020 15:18

@TJM123 welcome! My son is nearly three and I think I'm due 24th as well!

Rainbow5SF · 23/06/2020 15:44

@SpunBodgeSquarepants I had one at 5+6 with my son and there was a heartbeat.
I think it varies.

I'm an anxious mess today so I've booked one for tomorrow.

All my symptoms have gone today and I feel different so I've had to book one.
