Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

@lucyinthe I had that with my son. I had a scan at 6 weeks and he was fine.
I had shoulder tip pain Friday - scanned me at the hospital. Yolk sac seen. Call your hospital.

Farmer20 · 21/06/2020 20:32

@lucyinthe I am getting cramping too but it seems to come in waves..just flared up after our evening walk :/ have read lots to suggest cramping is normal so trying not to overthink it too! Do check with you Dr though if your worried

@Peach1204 thats so cute! Bet he loved that! My dh was too aware of all my testing/ovulations etc so I couldnt keep it from him was too excited to see that first bfp!! 😊 regretted it really cos a big reveal would have been lovely for fathers day.
I did buy him Adrian Kulp's book "were pregnant, handbook for first time dads" and wrapped it up for today....would recommend to everyone-s OHs👍

Symptoms???

I'm 6 weeks from LMP & 5+4 from ovulation.

I had a scan Friday - gestational sac and yolk sac seen. Too early for heartbeat. My HCG was 9000.

I'm on steroids, progesterone pessaries & blood thinning injections. This is my first pregnancy on meds.

I have a teenage girl and my son died prematurely 23 months ago.

With both my kids I had huge boobs by now. My boobs are 28gg anyhow so by now they are ridiculous. But this time - nothin. I've had cramps for over a week on and off.
Had sickness and tiredness and my resting heart beat has risen.
I'm not sure what is extreme anxiety and what's normal or if to worry!

I've spent all today convinced I'm losing this baby.

I need achy sore boobs!!

How's everyone else? X

Peach1204 · 21/06/2020 20:40

@Hush32 thank you! There were tears from both of us! Xxx

@Farmer20 thank you so much! Luckily we have conceived after only 2 cycles of trying - if we hadn't next month I was all ready with ovulation strips and he would have picked up on things. I was wondering about getting some books - I'll go and have a look at your one. Thank you for the recommendation! Xxx

Sunshine1984 · 21/06/2020 22:11

@lucyinthe Cramping is normal in early pregnancy but if you’re worried, definitely contact the hospital. If nothing else, hopefully you will get an early scan and it will put your mind at ease.

@Rainbow5SF I’m so sorry to read about the loss of your son. I think anxiety is normal for a lot of people in early pregnancy but if you’re concerned, definitely give your GP a call. With my daughter, my boobs were so sore and sensitive but that hasn’t happened at all this time. Every pregnancy is different and lots of people have no symptoms at all so just because something is different this time around, definitely doesn’t mean that it’s a negative thing ❤️

cekaelta · 21/06/2020 22:25

Thanks @Songsofwhales. Guess I will just see how it goes. Certainly felt weird. I was training for great north run but that has been cancelled now - kinda works out for me if this little thing sticks.

I am just starting to feel a bit sick for first time through this evening.

Scottishflower · 21/06/2020 22:36

Hi everyone, I'm a bit late to this thread as I've seen it's been running for a while. I've just found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant and should be due February time also. As I'm sure some of you must feel, this situation just doesn't feel real and I can't believe it. We've booked an early pregnancy scan for tomorrow, I don't know if we jumped the gun a bit but as my partner says, the worst that can happen is its too early for us to have any 'result' from it. Does anyone have any experince of having a scan this early? Really excited to chat to you all and have people who are in the same situation as me. X

Alongstruggle1 · 21/06/2020 22:47

@Scottishflower welcome! And you'll have go give us an update after the scan! Haven't personally booked anything.... but I think I'll give in soon!

IamC · 22/06/2020 07:19

Are these normal symptoms?

Bit of background, about 18 months ago I started to get intermittent but severe pains when rolling over in bed. Sent for an ultrasound (must add I wasn't pregnant) and the sonography said she doesn't think there's anything to worry about and the doctor would probably call me. They didn't do assumed all was clear. I kind be self diagnosed myself with round ligament pain as the description of that matches how I feel. Still happens intermittently.

Since my BFP, it's happening every bedtime. I've read it's not harmful, so haven't really been concerned. Last night the pain woke me up. I went to the toilet and my belly was in so much pain. Really bloated and felt like it might burst.

I think it was trapped wind perhaps, and I am feeling mostly better this morn. But now I'm not sure whether to be concerned or not?

Does it sound normal? If it is round ligament pain, why would it happen pre and early pregnancy, when it should happen much later? I think I shall be calling the dr when they open.

BeanieBabyLovex · 22/06/2020 09:08

Anyone else been nervous to have sex with their partners ? Lol I'm 5+2 and first time since finding out did the deed last night I felt guilty after and I don't know why now I feel like my symptoms have disappeared lol I've cried 2 times this morning, over what? I don't know lol

EmBrum · 22/06/2020 09:57

Morning @BeanieBabyLovex - definitely nervous about DDD. We are actually abstaining for the first trimester 😱 based on a recommendation in the book Fertile to do so if you have a history of miscarriage. Can't find out from a Google that this is a commonly held view at all, but having read it I can't forgot it - we had a miscarriage in November and DDD that pregnancy (not that the two are at all related).

If you are not comfortable maybe wait a few more weeks before going again? X

EmBrum · 22/06/2020 09:58

I meant DTD!!!

lucyinthe · 22/06/2020 10:30

@IamC that sounds painful, I would definitely call the doctor. I'm just waiting for a call back from my DR about my pains, they've actually gone now but I'm am a little worried so want to put my mind at rest.

@BeanieBabyLovex We haven't DTD since finding out! I'm too scared even though I've never heard it's not safe. We went to do it the other night and I bottled it at the last minute 🤣 OH wasn't impressed! X

teachmehow14 · 22/06/2020 10:42

@BeanieBabyLovex, @EmBrum & @lucyinthe I thought I was the only one that was a bit nervous to DTD as I’m so worried it isn’t safe!

Peach1204 · 22/06/2020 10:55

@BeanieBabyLovex we are not DTD! I don't know when I'll feel it's safe to do so? Maybe if I'm overdue and want the baby out?! Hahaha! Xxx

Is anyone else HUNGRY?! Like crazy hungry?! This morning I've been awake since 4.45 and was a little hungry then. By 6 I had to get up as I was feeling hungry sick and had 2 weetabix and a banana. I've then had 2 boiled eggs and 2 satsumas and I'm hungry! I've drank a litre of water already as well.

On the food thing - I'm super paranoid about food now, especially cheese. We have some filled gnocchi and fresh pasta which have ricotta in and I'm avoiding them even though I'd love to have them and I think they are ok. I find not many items state whether that have used pasteurised or unpasteurised milk so if they don't say anything I don't have them. I will be living on pasta for 9 months which is actually a dream come true for me! Xxx

Rainbow5SF · 22/06/2020 11:17

@lucyinthe @IamC
My stomach is soooo swollen. I have weekly phone appointments and had one today - nurse said it sounds like I'm just bloated.
She did remind me that even if the worst was happening that no one can prevent it happening!

I'm on steroids and progesterone too so this will be affecting me also.

My stomach feel heavy and like I need to go to the toilet. But I don't. If that makes sense

How you both going?

OkyDoke · 22/06/2020 11:20

I've had a positive on a Clear Blue now, 2-3 weeks! Hopefully will have gone to 3+ next week!

lucyinthe · 22/06/2020 11:29

@Rainbow5SF that sounds so uncomfortable. I've got progesterone pessaries as i have all the meds I should have been taking on my next IVF cycle, the clinic said it wouldn't do any harm to use them now but the side effects aren't pleasant! The steroids will definitely be bloating you. The nurse is right there's not much we can do to control the outcome is there.

I've just had a call with a nurse at the maternity unit about my pains, she said it's too early for me to have a scan to rule out ectopic (I was weeks on Saturday) she said if the pain gets worse or I start bleeding then I should go straight to a&e. She's booked me in for an early scan next Monday, but we've already booked a private scan for this Saturday so thats 2 scans in 3 days. I just wish I could fast forward a few days!

Rainbow5SF · 22/06/2020 11:48

@lucyinthe how many weeks are you now??

Are you on the pessaries??

lucyinthe · 22/06/2020 12:15

@Rainbow5SF I'm 5 weeks 2 days. Yes cyclogest pessaries x

Rainbow5SF · 22/06/2020 12:27

@lucyinthe yeah I can see why they want to wait to scan. I had a scan Friday and they saw the yolk sac.

How are your boobs? Zero symptoms on my boobs. Which is odd being on pessaries too.
But my hcg was over 9000 Friday so I'm hoping the no boob ache is ok x

EmBrum · 22/06/2020 13:41

@Peach1204 that pasta would be fine I'm sure - it's about all I can manage at the bottom for sure!
Soft cheeses ok if pasteurised as you've said, but even if you're doubtful about that cooking the pasta makes it safe - NHS website lists as safe: thoroughly cooked soft unpasteurised cheeses, until steaming hot

Enjoy! X

EmBrum · 22/06/2020 13:42

*At the moment!

OkyDoke · 22/06/2020 13:46

Does anyone know what is happening with booking in appointments? Or is it different everywhere?

Rainbow5SF · 22/06/2020 13:59

@@OkyDoke ours is over the phone. Take bloods at 12 week scan.
