Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx
@longcoffee I’ve just been looking at that one online! It is quite a way from us though, we’re near Chichester.
We have booked for Ultrasound Direct in Cosham. I know lots of people who have been over the years and have always heard good things.

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 15/06/2020 11:17

Can I tentatively join you, ladies?
I got my bfp 10 days ago, and am bang on 5 weeks today.
The thing is, I'd been TTC for 5 years and 3 months. I've had 2 missed miscarriages in that time. My bmi is 44. My anxiety is sky high. I've been cramping for a week, which I know can be a good sign, but my miscarriages are always at the back of my mind. I'm going to give it a few weeks before I book a booking in appointment this time, if I expressed my concerns to my midwife do you think she will organise an early scan for me? Or shall I be cheeky and make out I can't remember when my last period was so I get an early dating scan?!

Daisymai1990 · 15/06/2020 11:41

Hi,

Can I please join? I am 30 years old and currently 4+3 with my frist baby. The apps have given me a date of 19 Feb 2021.

I have self referred so hoping to get dating scan etc bookedin soon - how long did it take most people to get these through once submitted the form?

Shrewsdoodle · 15/06/2020 11:45

Can I join? 30yo, 2nd pregnancy but the first ended 3-4 months ago with a miscarriage that took about 4 weeks from start to finish because my uterus did NOT want to complete the eviction 😂. I'm skeptical after last time but if all goes well I'm due about 20th Feb!

Not too excited yet as shit happens but fingers firmly crossed! I might drop out if this embryo is as lazy as it's former sibling 😁.

Thegirlhasnoname · 15/06/2020 12:13

Hello

Am I ok to join? I’m 29 and expecting my second baby 8 Feb 2021 (I’m sure my then 2 year old toddler will be thrilled...)

I booked my booking in appointment today for the end of the month and was surprised that is still being done face to face. From what I had heard they were all being done over the phone and you wouldn’t see a midwife face to face until 26 weeks (mum is a receptionist at a different GP surgery and that’s how they do it there).

Has anybody heard anything similar?

RubyFrench91 · 15/06/2020 12:49

@Shrewsdoodle what a refreshing and hilarious attitude you have! Grin love it! Hope this one is sticky for you!

@thisgirlhasnoname I’m surprised too, my friend is 22 weeks and has only had her 2 scans and one midwife appt, her booking was done over the phone. Maybe it is because shops have reopened now they feel they can do them?

Has anybody else not called for their booking yet? I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t told my partner yet or because it’s my 2nd baby but I just kind of can’t be bothered just yet lol. My 1st I was chomping at the bit and was in the doctors surgery at 5+1 to see midwife haha

MorgenMuffel · 15/06/2020 13:20

welcome to all the newbies!

@NicJayne1 as my pregnancy is a result of IVF I have to have an early viability scan, to check everything is in the right place and developing as expected - there is a higher chance of ectopic with IVF. I'll be 6+5 when I have it. Also considering another one before 12 weeks though as extra reassurance, and would like OH to have the chance to be there - but he doesn't seem to bothered and happy to just look at a picture!

@RubyFrench91 I've not booked mine yet - worried it is too good to be true really, and don't want to have booked it and get to my viability scan and it not be ok, then have to cancel. Think it will feel a bit more real once I've had that scan.

I've been getting some nausea as well as ridiculous thirst, lack of sleep and sore boobs, so taking it all as a positive sign that something is still going on. How are everyone else's symptoms?

Whilst I am trying not to get too ahead of myself, I have been having a sneaky look at nursery furniture and maternity clothes! What would people advise in terms of must haves or definitely don't need?

Shrewsdoodle · 15/06/2020 13:46

@RubyFrench91 I'll probably call the midwives to book in the next week or so to get it in the diary... Hoping I have reason to keep my booking appointment this time round! I'm not chomping at the bit this time either but I don't want to be last minute working my appointment around meetings and pissing off the midwives... 😂

Songsofwhales · 15/06/2020 14:02

Hi, can I join too? 32, EDD around 7th Feb, second pregnancy.
Feeling sick as a dog already and my nipples are so sore! Oh, and this morning I was being sick and my 2 year old was copying me coughing into the toilet... so that's a fun new mummy/daughter bonding activity! Confused

RubyFrench91 · 15/06/2020 14:03

@MorgenMuffel your scan will put your mind at ease :) is this your first BFP?

I have zero symptoms, my nipples hurt if I pinch them and I’m tired, but I’m always tired lol. My first pregnancy I had period pains until about 15 weeks from stretching and got nothing this time, presumably it’s already well stretched 😂 not particularly worried as didn’t have any symptoms with my daughter apart from horrendous heartburn from about 20 weeks

@shrewsdoodle glad I’m not the only one not chomping at the bit. You have more reason than I though and don’t blame you for taking it slow! I think after the weekend when I’ve told my partner I’ll call them on Monday to get booked in as I’ll be nearly 7 weeks then

MammaBear18 · 15/06/2020 14:08

Happy to be added to the list: 31, DD 24th Feb, 2nd baby

I need to find out what even the booking process is - I had my first in a different hospital so this is all new!

TTCgee · 15/06/2020 14:29

Hi, can I join please?

5+2 with my first pregnancy. I'm feeling incredibly nervous and just want to have a scan for some reassurance.

No real symptoms yet - just slightly sore nipples, tiredness and struggling to sleep. I had some pretty intense cramps last week and this week I've noticed a slight pain in my left side occasionally so I'm freaking out about ectopic / miscarriage. Speaking to midwife tomorrow.

Does anyone have advice for how to just chill out:
/ if anyone's ever experienced side pain that is nothing to worry about?

I'm hoping I can book an early scan at 6/7 weeks just to put my mind at ease!

@RubyFrench91 I wouldn’t have booked in with the midwife just yet, but after having blood tests the nurse at my GP surgery was like ‘BOOK IN NOW’ I’m having a few issues with my iron as well. I got the letter through the post this am and my booking in is online.

@MammaBear18 have you tried looking at your hospitals website? I had to self refer through the website this time around, and a midwife is no longer based at my GP surgery, which I’m a bit gutted about. However, I do have a midwife friend so if appointments are few and far in between, she will be getting harassed Grin

Lovely to see more BFPs!

MammaBear18 · 15/06/2020 14:36

@jemimafuddlefuck I have just actually found a form - it was titled 'booking in to have your baby' which sounded very serious and like labour hence I disregarded it at first 😂 Self referral from 6 weeks so just over 2 weeks to wait - not that I'm impatient 🙈

Aww that's lucky!

MorgenMuffel · 15/06/2020 14:49

@RubyFrench91 yep, first ever BFP in over 2 and half years of TTC, so still very shocked to be honest. Slightly jealous of everyone who has jumped on this thread from seemingly just looking at their OH!!

@TTCgee it is so hard - lots of things to worry about. For me its the not being in control / not knowing what is happening that I struggle with. I am trying to be positive and have a daily mantra of "today I am positive" to try and help me get through things one day at a time. That doesn't stop me counting down the days until my viability scan though....

OldMaBear · 15/06/2020 15:01

My anxiety is through the roof today so I have booked a scan for next Thursday (25th June) when I should be 8+2. Then my 12 week scan came through today for 21st July.
I'm glad I've got this one next week as I don't think I could last until the 12 week one. So scared about what's going on in there and just hoping everything is ok.

Thegirlhasnoname · 15/06/2020 15:33

I rang back my GP’s to doubly check that it was face to face (DH can wfh and keep and eye on toddler if over phone, annual leave needed if not!) and was told that now shops like Primark are open they are having to relax their own safety procedures. Quite worrying when put like that but I see where she is coming from

Now to just hope that my nipple settle down as it’s making breastfeeding said toddler very painful! I didn’t find any tips to soothe them during my first pregnancy but happy to hear any ideas if anybody has any Smile

MorgenMuffel · 15/06/2020 15:38

@oldmabear sorry you are feeling so anxious today, but glad to hear its' not long to wait for your early scan. Mine is the 23rd so we can count down the days together!

lydiangel83 · 15/06/2020 16:00

For anyone else suffering with nausea, I called GP today and they gave me prescription for anti nausea tabs over phone. Can't wait for them to kick in!

OldMaBear · 15/06/2020 16:16

Thanks @MorgenMuffel only 8 days for you!

MorgenMuffel · 15/06/2020 16:23

@lydiangel83 glad you've got some medication, hope they work soon.

MammaBear18 · 15/06/2020 16:35

I'm so anxious too! Dreading to go the toilet in case I see blood Sad We're definitely booking an early scan - had one with DS and I definitely won't be patient enough to wait until the 12 week scan!

When did you all book yours?

Rainbow5SF · 15/06/2020 16:53

@MammaBear18 @MorgenMuffel @OldMaBear

I hear you all... I'm terrified. They've book me in for the 29th. Two weeks today. So I'd be 7+1. It feels like a lifetime away.

My stomach is still not right so that's messing with my head. I'm still testing and the FRER today was a dye stealer!! I need my 3+ on the clearblue but going to wait a few more days. X

Elephantonascooter · 15/06/2020 18:14

Hi all. Edd is around 4th Feb at the mo but expecting it to be later than that. Have an early private scan on Saturday for reassurance. I feel so different to how I did with DS, it's freaking me out. With him I was so so sick. I couldn't keep anything down. This time I just feel woozy and light headed. Keep shaking my boobs to make sure they still hurt. Very scared on miscarriage but trying to keep the worries at bay. The fact my symptoms are so different isn't helping that though

Poppyismyfavourite · 15/06/2020 20:08

@Elephantonascooter I feel similar - light headed and painful boobs. Not nice but good to know something's still happening!
