Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

Hi,

I wondered how many of your are having an early private scan? I'm in two minds. I don't know if it will reassure me or make me worse.

My partner said I could have one but he also said it may make me want one every time I don't feel right which I suppose it's true (a bit like an addiction) :(

lydiangel83 · 14/06/2020 20:58

@unluckyducky what kind of counselling did you have if u don't mind me asking! Is there special birth kind?

lydiangel83 · 14/06/2020 20:59

@unluckyducky we did hypnobirthing first time and I don't think it helped us personally but I know everyone finds it a different experience x

lydiangel83 · 14/06/2020 21:00

@NicJayne1 we are having an early scan on Thursday to reassure us that there's only one in there (family history of twins!) as well as a bit of confirmation before we tell anyone. Two of my mum friends asked me directly (separately) this wkend and I couldn't lie to their faces but we haven't told our families yet and will wait to do so until after scan

@NicJayne1 I’m having one at 7 weeks. I wouldn’t have the patience to get to 12!

@unluckyducky, I’m glad your second birth went so much better. I really admire women who give it another go. I’m very much a cross me once kind of person, so I haven’t even entertained the idea of trying for a VBAC. I don’t think DH could do it again either. @lydiangel83 its definitely worth considering therapy and then all your options available to you. I’m sorry you’re already having such a tough time with the idea.

@NicJayne1 we've booked an early scan for 8 weeks - partly to alleviate anxiety, partly because 12 weeks seems too far away. I think we'll tell our parents if it all goes well at the early scan, but wait for 12 weeks to go 'public'

DaisyBank82 · 14/06/2020 22:56

Hello everyone

It’s my first post but I’ve been lurking for about two weeks. It was @Rainbow5SF who gave me the courage to share my story actually. I know a little about what you’re going through...I’m so sorry about your son.

Though all our experiences are all different I’m also extremely anxious as one of my daughters was stillborn in 2017 when I was 32 weeks pregnant. Everything in that pregnancy was fine until she suddenly wasn’t and we did not find a cause for her death. I will never experience pregnancy in the same way. I also have an older daughter, who is nearly 6, and a rainbow son, who is 22 months. I’m still breastfeeding him so I’m very surprised to be pregnant again, especially as conceiving hasn’t ever seemed to be easy for us. This current pregnancy is a big surprise! I’m 38 in July and very aware this is very high risk. I also weigh far much more than I’d like (thank you, lock down).

I have also had two miscarriages at different stages along the way between my children so I’m all too aware a BFP doesn’t always mean a baby but also aware that bringing a baby home and watching the grow is the most amazing privilege and experience in the world .. so here I am again...

I have an early scan with my excellent consultant who supported me through the pregnancy with my son on Tuesday afternoon to see if this pregnancy looks viable. I hate scans and probably have some PTSD having had the worst scan news imaginable before. My husband can’t come in with me due to covid-19. Even if things look ok I will need regular scans and I think I need to find a new consultant as I heard mine is emigrating and I’m pretty gutted about this.

I am trying to take it one day at a time but it’s so hard not to lose myself in “what ifs” all the time and now with the added worry about covid-19 on top of being super high risk I’m very scared.

I also had GD In my most recent pregnancy but none of the others so preparing myself for that possibility too.

I’m 7 weeks today. Not many symptoms but I have serious breastfeeding aversion - it’s not painful exactly but uncomfortable and feels weird in a way it never did. And I’m shattered but that might be my age and running around after my small children!

I’m sorry for those who feel sick and also sorry for those grappling with anxiety. Thanks for reading if you got this far!

NicJayne1 · 14/06/2020 23:17

@lydiangel83 @IamC @JemimaFuddleFuck thank you for replying.

Yes I think I might do the same before telling family xx

Sowalk · 15/06/2020 07:06

Hi all,

Hope you don't mind me joining! I have a due date of 19.2.21. Very excited but also very nervous. In March this year my husband and I went through the pain of a MMC. I had on and off bleeding for a month. Then when all seemed well baby stopped growing. It has been really hard to recover. Especially with lockdown!

Now I am feeling so excited. But also incredibly nervous and constantly find myself checking if I am bleeding (which I am not). Trying to keep my mind on positive thoughts - lots of nausea and sore breasts. Just wish I could fast forward and hear a heartbeat!

DanielleS25 · 15/06/2020 07:10

I really don't know what to do this time around. I was induced last time and yeah it was tough but I quite enjoyed it, even though it ended in an emergency c section. I am in two minds, csection or vbac - one thing for sure is I will refuse an induction this time around, I can't force my body to do something it didn't want to like I did last time. It's not that it was traumatic because it wasnt, it was just lengthy and I got all the way to end pushing for an hour and 45 only to end with a section.

Poppyismyfavourite · 15/06/2020 08:12

@susiewithbump and @DanielleS25 I'm als Feb 13th according to the NHS website!
@JemimaFuddleFuck could I join the list please?

Rainbow5SF · 15/06/2020 08:14

@DaisyBank82 I am so sorry about your girl. Thank you for sharing. Let's hope we both get to keep our babies in our arms forever this time.

It's taken us almost 2 years to get a BFP so I'm terrified. I've had many scans since my son died as had lots of investigations and also tried ivf. So I'm not sure how I will be going to a scan being pregnant. Especially without my husband holding my hand. We can do it tho! I'm at a different hospital this time and I have some too consultants too. Sending you lots of love. Here to chat if you want xx

Rainbow5SF · 15/06/2020 08:16

@JemimaFuddleFuck I haven't put a due date down as it's too triggering after what happened with my son. Plus I know if I get that far I will be induced as early as possible.
X

MammaBear18 · 15/06/2020 08:21

Hello! I just got a bfp yesterday (still here today after multiple tests Grin) with a DD of 24th Feb! It took us 21 months to get here so I am a bit in shock still!

Pixielou16 · 15/06/2020 08:23

Hello! Can I join? EDD 18.02.21, FTM, 28, currently 4w + 4 or 5w + 1 depending on the app you ask! Tentatively joining. I have a scan booked for 7 weeks for reassurance but also so DH can come along. It'll be a shame if he isn't able to join for the other scans but I understand it's necessary. Really hoping antenatal classes kick off again too- we have no idea what we are doing!

DanielleS25 · 15/06/2020 09:05

I would love the join the list too please! I am 29 pregnant with my second. Due 13th February.

I booked a private scan and then got an email through saying my husband can't come in but can watch on a screen from the room next door. Gutted

JemimaFuddleFuck · 15/06/2020 09:15

@Poppyismyfavourite sure! What are your details? I can’t find them.

@Rainbow5SF sorry for your loss. I’m sure no words I say would be of any comfort but I’ve got everything crossed for you and @DaisyBank82. How would you like me to add you? I would hate to get it wrong. If you type out what you would like, I will copy it in.

Congrats to all the new BFP’s!

I POAS I had laying around this morning, you know because being 5+4 isn’t enough Hmm, and the line was so dark, if I was patient enough to wait for a week after my period was due I wouldn’t have been squinting at the tiniest lightest lines Grin I didn’t learn my lesson from the 1st time!!

For those who are asking to join, I’m not adding to the list unless you specify because you will be tagged every time it’s updated and that might get on some people’s nerves very quickly Grin

Poppyismyfavourite · 15/06/2020 09:48

@JemimaFuddleFuck 13/2/20, 1st baby, age 29

lesleycai · 15/06/2020 09:51

Can I be added to the group 09/02/21 baby number 2. Looking to book a reassurance scan. Terrified it may be ectopic. Google is just making it worse.

RubyFrench91 · 15/06/2020 09:52

@JemimaFuddleFuck haha I did the same this weekend. I was like holy moly I am PREGNANT NOW! 😂

I plan to do another digi this Friday when I will be 6+2 because I want to see 3+ weeks haha. I am telling my fiancé on Sunday (Father’s Day) When I’m 6+4, i will have known that i was pregnant for 20 days without him knowing!!!

misssoaps · 15/06/2020 09:57

Wow @RubyFrench91 how have you kept it to yourself lol.i think it's great that you have though!

RubyFrench91 · 15/06/2020 10:02

@misssoaps I think a combination because he was working nights the week I found out so didn’t really see him, because I needed some time to come to terms with it and because Father’s Day was coming up, if it hadn’t have been I would have told him by now for sure! I’ve ordered him a card with a pic of our daughter waving around my pregnancy test saying 1-2 weeks haha!

He was 100% on to me the week I found out as cried for no reason after a minor cross words we had to each other and was questioning when my period was due etc but think he’s off the trail now as long as he doesn’t realise that I told him my period was due last week Hmm
