Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

@susiewithbump we've told my mum and dad and DSD14 already - I've had to amend epilepsy medication and there's increased risk of seizures, so a few people had to have the heads up. DSD9 (both girls live with us) doesn't know though, so that's a fun secret to keep with increasing nausea and tiredness!

@unluckyducky I keep peeking at it, and getting all excited!

OldMaBear · 13/06/2020 15:22

So I told my sister and she was thrilled. She cried! So therefore I cried, it was messy and we couldn’t even hug each other. But it was so nice to talk to someone else about it.
We’re not going to tell anyone else for now but might change our minds after a scan. I’m hopefully going to book one for 8 weeks, I’m currently 6+4. Just need to find a provider. I’m down by the sea in sunny West Sussex.

longcoffee · 13/06/2020 15:52

@OldMaBear glad it went well!!!

Depending where you are in West Sussex, would recommend the Scanning Rooms in Haywards Heath (I'm on the East/West Sussex border!)

OldMaBear · 13/06/2020 16:02

@longcoffee I’ve just been looking at that one online! It is quite a way from us though, we’re near Chichester.

MorgenMuffel · 13/06/2020 17:24

@longcoffee so great you got to see the heartbeat, must be so reassuring

@OldMaBear so glad it went well ☺

@Rainbow5SF so glad you've got lots of support from the medical professionals, and hope you can have all the scans you need.

I had quite a lot of nausea earlier but seems to have settled now. Going to try and have a sneaky nap whilst DH watches football 😂

FebruaryBear · 13/06/2020 22:11

Hi ladies, hope you're all well!

Feb21 seems busy already! I think I am 6+4, due 4th Feb... though my dates were out by a week according to the dating scan with my first so we'll see!

My first is a Feb 2018 baby (due 3rd born 7th) so they will likely have very close birthdays. This one feels quite different so far, I had hardly any symptoms with my first but have had nausea for about 2 weeks already with this one.

Amnah26 · 14/06/2020 07:02

Hi Ladies! Congratulations to you all ❤️ Can I also join please? I have my BFP and due date calculators place me at 5weeks today and due on Feb 14th! Have booked a scan for next Sunday as a Fathers Day gift for my husband but more of an assurance for me as having had 1 ectopic and 1 miscarriage in the past I'm so so scared. Please keep me in your prayers xxx

Hi ladies,
Do you mind if I jump on this thread? I have just found out I'm pregnant and due around the 13th February if my calculations are right. So shocked, we've been trying since December and were in the process of booking into a fertility clinic for an MOT for various other reasons and the day I was due to book it I got my first positive. I was only a day late for my period by the test was so clear I ended up doing another 3 and they dating one had me at 3+ weeks past conception. Been sleeping very well at night lately and have a bit of a painful hip/stomach but midwife called to get my details and said this is normal - no nausea and no other symptoms. I didn't have any on my first born either but I'm sure I'll get some soon.

lesleycai · 14/06/2020 14:57

Hey guys, just found out a few weeks ago that I was pregnant, we'd only started trying. Due date puts us feb 2021. Hope you don't mind if I jump on with you guys. So excited 😆😆😆

Mermaidlagoon · 14/06/2020 15:38

Welcome newbies 😊 How is everyone feeling today? Time is going so slow looking forward to my reassurance scan in a couple of weeks when I'll be at almost 8 weeks, but then I'll probably just feel impatient for the 12 week scan. I should just try to relax and enjoy not feeling too bad at the moment

Sam042017 · 14/06/2020 16:12

Hi I’m also thinking I’m due feb 2021 with my first! Feeling so anxious already getting quite a bit of aching in my right upper side a bit like a stitch! My pregnancy tests were also all mega dark... do you think that’s normal?

DanielleS25 · 14/06/2020 16:43

I have a reassurance scan in 3 weeks and the wait is going to kill me. I've been getting pains too, in my side (hip and stomach) I never had those on my first and I am getting a bit worried - I've miscarried before so I'm on pins too.

Sam042017 · 14/06/2020 17:03

Yes they are very weird just my right side but much higher up right in the ribs 😩 just keep reading about an ectopic pregnancy and praying it isn’t.

DanielleS25 · 14/06/2020 17:35

Where does this pain usually happen with ectopic pregnancies because I keep worrying its that too - we don't half stress ourselves out!

Sam042017 · 14/06/2020 18:06

I know it’s crazy isn’t it! I’m sure we will be fine and everything is normal! When I was reading up it just said pain in one side, mine has always been my right. I’m 6 weeks today I might go for an early scan if possible 🤞

JemimaFuddleFuck · 14/06/2020 19:20

Welcome to the new BFPs! Sorry to read that some of you are a bundle of nerves, but you’ll fit right in here Blush if you want adding to the list, let me know!

For those who are having their 2nd with a small age gap, have you had any consideration to pushchairs? It might seem a bit cart before horse but it’s something I will need to consider. DD will be 4.5 months off turning 2 when DC2 (Grin) arrives. I like the look of the Cosatto WOW XL but can’t seem to find many reviews on it.

JemimaFuddleFuck · 14/06/2020 19:20

Obviously I won’t be buying anything for a while yet, but it’s nice to dream. I loved buying my pram and pushchair first time around no life

lydiangel83 · 14/06/2020 19:23

I've had such nausea all week don't remember this from first but I wonder if u choose to forget some symptoms!? Only thing that makes it better is eating so am constantly with food in my mouth! We have early scan this Thursday I think I'll be around 8 wks and it will make it more real for both of us. DH bit in shock about it, first birth and first 18 months were very challenging and don't think either of us have mentally recovered from it.

Congrats to all the new BFPs, exciting times!

@JemimaFuddleFuck have literally not thought about double buggies but as my DD will be nearly 3.5 I'm thinking I don't need to!?

lydiangel83 · 14/06/2020 19:24

I also didn't buy anything until 20 wks last time and will probably be the same this time. Hoping we won't need too much stuff tho maybe I am being naive!? Wondering now how I will possibly manage taking baby + toddler out together!? DD lived in sling so I suppose that'll work for a while, but will be hard to chase her down the road on scooter now with a newborn in sling!

JemimaFuddleFuck · 14/06/2020 19:30

@lydiangel83 sorry you’re having nausea, but yes I completely agree that you forget some things - it’s so you have another!

Gosh at 3.5 I wouldn’t think you’d need a double! If you older child gets tired you can get a buggy board - the one I mentioned has one built in as well, so it’s really got my interest. But the image of a woman chasing a toddler on a scooter with a newborn in a sling, did make me laugh!

I can’t imagine you would need much this time around.

Our plan is to keep DD in her cot until new child is 6/7 months old and then move her to a toddler bed and reuse the cot. We will be reusing the baby car seat, and next to me crib. However, I’ve donated all her bloody clothes so we’re in for round two of baby clothes shopping Wink and we will probably get new bottles. But prep and steriliser will be reused.

lydiangel83 · 14/06/2020 19:34

@JemimaFuddleFuck buggy board! Never knew what those things were called thanks! Also imagine tired mum with newborn chasing toddler on scooter with a c section wound too! Can't decide whether to request elective C section after horrible labour last time. Got ages to think about it but also hate the sound of c section recovery!

JemimaFuddleFuck · 14/06/2020 19:41

@lydiangel83 Haha! I only ever heard of them through Mumsnet!

I’ve mentioned this up thread but I’m 100% requesting a C-section this time around, my first was really awful, won’t go into detail because lots of FTMs on here, which ended in an EMCS. I was out of the hospital next day, and having a pub lunch 4 days later. Obviously there was pain and some uncomfortableness but I honestly found my recovery really easy. I just had to remember to take pain relief before bed and to rest when I needed it. The only thing is not driving for 6/8 weeks afterwards, but my GP cleared me after 4!

It is a big decision though, so discuss it with your midwife when you’re ready. I will be demanding an ELCS at my booking in appointment Wink

@unluckyducky that's good to hear, I do hear that second delivery easier. I'm still really traumatised by first, similar to your plus broken coccyx that still hurts 2.5 years later. We had debrief with hospital where they admitted they made mistakes, so apart from not going back there I am not sure how else to move forwards with it. DH still traumatised by it too and I think clouding his happiness at this pregnancy :-/ maybe there's some specialist counselling or something!?
