Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

@bchar I wish I could sleep during day, have never managed it!

OldMaBear · 05/06/2020 21:29

@bchar I’m sorry you’re suffering too but it’s really reassuring to know I’m not the only one! I did think it might have been the heat or hayfever at first but it’s cooler now and the pollen count has come down and I still can’t sleep. I must admit I’d love to have a nap but I’m working from home all day.

Incidentally - how soon can we start claiming baby brain? I’m not sure if it’s the tiredness or I’ve already got a real case of it really early but my head has gone! I struggle with words, have to write lists or I’ll forget things and I totally zoned out of a video meeting at work the other day!! Please tell me I’m not alone.

OldMaBear · 05/06/2020 21:30

@lydiangel83 Thanks. It’s good to know it’s a real thing and not just me. I’m so glad we can all suffer together!

Elephantonascooter · 06/06/2020 07:00

Morning all. The sickness has hit! It seems to be dairy (again) which is making me queesy... I had the same with DS. The slightest hint of milk and I was running away to be sick! I'm struggling right now sitting here watching DS with his cerial because even the sight of milk is turning my stomach.

lydiangel83 · 06/06/2020 07:56

@Elephantonascooter I am at the point of eating constantly to stop myself feeling nauseous. I think it'll be similar to last time where I put on loads of weight in first trimester!

Elephantonascooter · 06/06/2020 08:30

@lydiangel83 I think I'll be the opposite! I lost loads of weight with ny 1st due to sickness

Emma476 · 06/06/2020 08:39

@lydiangel83 I also lost a lot of weight with my first daughter. I don’t have any sickness yet which feels strange but I’m only 5 +3 so maybe around week 6 it will start. As much as I would love to lose the lockdown weight I’ve put on in the last few months I remember being so so ill first time around so hopefully I won’t get it so bad this time around. I’m definitely feeling more abdominal aching this time around. Not sure if that’s normal or not. Will be so relived when I get to around 9 weeks...

Harper04 · 06/06/2020 08:54

@Feelinghopeful4 so sorry to read what happened 😞 Thinking of you.

Also congrats to all the new BFPS!

@Fluffkins14 I was getting quite dull achey cramps all last week but they have calmed down now. It can be normal!

@Elephantonascooter oh bless you! It’s hard because nothing really helps does it! I haven’t had the sickness yet, I had it really bad with my DD.

Fluffkins14 · 06/06/2020 09:06

@Harper04 I'm trying to tell myself it's normal but the pain is so sharp and pin pointed area I don't remember round ligament pain being so intense with previous DD

IamC · 06/06/2020 09:38

Hey everyone. I’ve been lurking over in the Conception boards for eleven months, but I finally have a missed period and two pink lines so thought I’d bite the bullet and join in. The excitement can begin. According to the NHS calculator my due date is 11 Feb. It will be nice to share the journey with others in the same boat.

Harper04 · 06/06/2020 09:39

@fluffkins14 If you’re worried Monday I would definitely ring GP, they were good as gold with me when I rang with mine x

@IamC hey! Congrats and welcome! It’s so nice to have people on here for support for sure. Have you had any symptoms yet?

Harper04 · 06/06/2020 10:20

@fluffkins14 Ahh amazing! I have one Monday, is it just me or is this weekend dragging because we’re waiting and worrying 🙈 I’m trying to distract myself!

@OldMaBear haha! I'd like to know the answer to that question too! I've been doing silly things and just wondering its actually me or if it's the baby.

I'm a teacher so I've been in but not very often as we're on a rota. I am due to go back on the 15th as that's when my class is due to go back but I'm a bit worried. It's really early so I didn't want to tell my head teacher but I have a few children in my class with needs who can get quite violent.
What do you guys advise I do?

RDC2020 · 06/06/2020 10:35

@bchar I am also a teacher (secondary) our school is due to open on the 15th but only for about 20 kids a day. So the rota will mean staff will only be in around 3 days between now and summer.

All pregnant ladies at our school aren't being put on the rota, the school is being really cautious. I haven't told the Head yet - but I'm going to... just trying to leave it as long as possible (high chance I won't be needed until end of June).

If I was you I'd tell your headteacher - these are exceptional circumstances, and although it isn't ideal so early on, they can't do anything to help/ protect your wellbeing if they don't know. Just so annoying having to tell isn't it - especially when family don't know! 😊 xx

IamC · 06/06/2020 10:37

@Harper04 weirdest symptom (or perhaps non-symptom) is I normally get sore boobs a week before my period which made me think maybe my period isn’t on its way after all. They’re not even sore now. I have also been getting what I think is round ligament pains when I roll over in bed, and just feeling generally quite tired.

bchar · 06/06/2020 10:41

@RDC2020 thank you for your advise Smile
It is annoying having to tell my head before my family but you're right that they can't do anything to protect me if they don't know.

Such crazy times at the moment!!
Not sure if my head teacher will be able to do anything, we're such a small school.
Will just have to wait and see.

Thank you again! X

RDC2020 · 06/06/2020 10:43

@bchar I suppose at least if they know and you still have to go in they will be more aware/ can give you more support! Good luck - hope going back goes well! Such weird times atm, I don't think I can remember how to teach 🤣 x

TheFoz · 06/06/2020 10:46

Unfortunately my journey here has ended. I had some brown and pink discharge during the week that turned to red blood when wiping yesterday and has now come full circle.
I’ve had two previous losses in the last 9 months. I really thought this one was going to work. Sadly it is not to be.
Best of luck to everyone with your pregnancies. Flowers

OldMaBear · 06/06/2020 11:35

@TheFoz I am so so sorry. There are no other words I can say.

Lovesamash · 06/06/2020 11:43

Hi everyone, found out I’m pregnant this week. Very happy and nervous, chemical pregnancy month before. Feel completely blessed but scared also, not sure how I go about booking in with midwife. It’s a central line to leave a message. Anyway, NHS calculator put us at 15th Feb due date. Can’t help be super excited and positive. Feeling sick, temp going up and down boobs feel like they’re swollen. Cannot wait. Good luck to everyone else also Smile
