Harper04 · 24/05/2020 16:35

Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

I think my due date will be Jan 15th
So far I have had really sore boobs, tiredness and some nausea. Also really thirsty all the time which is weird. And headaches.

Congratulations!

A08x · 24/05/2020 21:51

Hi @harper04 I also got positive tests this weekend & due calculator also has us at 03/02/21! I am so so nervous, this is my first and it doesn’t feel real yet! I’m still not referring to myself as being the ‘P’ word yet either 🙈

I’ve had cramp since last Sunday which would have been 5 or 6 DPO, and started having tiny amounts of light brown / pinkish discharge on Wednesday. What symptoms have you had? When is your AF due? Xx

Rainbow1808 · 24/05/2020 22:04

Hi I had a positive clear blue digital on Thursday! I’ve since had 2 more so deffo pregnant as didn’t believe it at first🙈 Over the moon! Don’t know about dates etc as only came off the pill 3 weeks agoShock But I presume it’s going to be some point in February! As far as symptoms go, I’ve had constant erect nipplesGrin windBlush bloating and strangely for the past few nights, not been able to stay asleep past 4amAngry Never experienced this before so I’m putting it down to pregnancy! Congrats everyone xx

Harper04 · 24/05/2020 22:46

@123naomib Thank you! Congratulations to you too ❤️ Did you have any cramping in the beginning? Having some cramps which I don’t usually have until AF has arrived.

@A08x Hey!! Congratulations ❤️ Woohoo same due date haha! Such an exciting time! Me too.. I still quite can’t believe it! I’ve had nausea since 8dpo and feeling so tired but that’s all I’ve had really! Noticed some cramps today but I’m trying not to over think it toooo much! AF is due in 2-3 days but I’m so irregular - you?

@Rainbow1808 huge congrats to you 😘 I’m going to go out and get more clear blues tomorrow! I’m the same.. I feel like I need to do a few more so it can feel real 🤣 That’s so good how quick you caught after the pill! AF is supposed to come in 2-3 days so I’ll feel more relaxed once that date has passed 🙌🏼 I’m with you on the extra wind - OH not impressed 🤣 He has this for 9 months last time!

Congratulations everyone! 💗

@123naomib I hadn’t really thought about it before but I’m really thirsty too!

@Rainbow1808 wow that’s amazing you fell so fast!

@harper04 what tests have you used so far? I would have been due AF next 1-3 days also, hopefully once we get through this week it’ll sink in more! 🙈 I’ve not used a digital yet as I’m too scared of a negative result on that. I’m gonna wait til Friday I think as AF will have definitely been missed by then. I downloaded a pregnancy app which says cramping at 4,5,6 weeks etc is totally normal and expected with the different things going on xx

Sorry if TMI, I’ve had this light brown/pinkish discharge since Wednesday evening which I took to be implantation bleeding once I got my positive, but it’s still happening now. It’s literally like 0.5ml a day so basically nothing, but still got me a bit paranoid! Have to keep telling myself to relax lol Xx

BelievinForAMiracle · 25/05/2020 07:40

Hello ladies can I join you? I’ve had a bfp today at 14 dpo... Af due in a couple of days but I’m so irregular. I will do another test in a couple of days and a digital one on Friday which is my first wedding anniversary! So excited!! Due date 2.2.21!

BelievinForAMiracle · 25/05/2020 07:42

Sorry I should have added some symptoms, I’ve felt pregnant from about 6 dpo. At first it was cramps and tiredness. Raging thirst and insomnia. Then I couldn’t sleep enough, so so tired. Sore boobs from the end of last week and they feel firmer. Nausea if I’m hungry and nasty smells are much stronger. 🙂 bring it on! Love it!

Harper04 · 25/05/2020 08:46

@A08x I started with internet cheapies until I got a faint faint line at 10dpo, then used a first response and then clear blue at 12dpo! I don’t blame you with the digital, I had not pregnant on 10dpo and 11dpo - I was so disheartened and confused! I’m going to pop out today to get the one that displays the weeks on it and use that after AF too! That’s good to know! What app are you using? I need to download one!
I’ve read on loads of these threads that some bleeding is normal, especially if it’s not much like you said! I haven’t had any implantation bleeding but I didn’t with my little girl! I wish I had sometimes because it’s a big good clue that you’re pregnant! 😂 How are you feeling today? I feel quite nauseous!

@BelievinForAMiracle Hey!! Congratulations on your BFP! ❤️ That’ll be so nice to have the digital on your anniversary date! I’m experiencing the thirst yesterday and today - I keep drinking lots of water before bed and waking up really dry as if I’ve been out drinking all night 🤮

So happy to have all of you to speak to throughout this!

Hey everyone
I got my positive last week EDD 26.1.2021
I’ve done nothing but worry since. I’ve been spotting everyday, lots of lower abdominal cramping and groin pain and I’m finding it very difficult to stay positive. The soonest anyone will see me is at 6+1 which is not to next week 😞 This is my first pregnancy and I’m finding it very hard to stay positive! I’ve no nausea, heavy breasts and now that you all have said it I’m SO thirsty!
Congratulations to you all!x

Harper04 · 25/05/2020 09:36

@NMH19 Hey! ❤️ Congrats on your BFP! I know how you feel, I’m going to be worrying until my 12 week scan I feel like! I’m definitely going to book in for a private if they won’t give me an early scan with the NHS. But spotting is absolutely normal, try not to worry! I’ve been feeling really crampy too, I just need to get my AF date out the way to feel calmer.

Has anyone started taking any vitamins? Looking at the pregnacare ones!

BelievinForAMiracle · 25/05/2020 09:48

Congratulations all! The worries haven’t kicked in for me yet I’m just so excited! This is my first. It’s a miracle as I’m getting on in years to be a mum. I’ve been taking pre-conception vitamins (Seven Seas) and will Finish the pack then move on to their pregnancy tablets. I think folic acid is the main thing we need to take. I’ve been craving vit c and eating satsumas every day. I agree with the thirst thing. Especially in the morning when I have been waking up so dry that it hurts to open my eyes! Which is really odd. I’m not sure when I should ring the doctor... he will fall over in shock as this time last year he told me it was impossible for me to conceive. 🙂

NMH19 · 25/05/2020 09:50

@Harper04 thank you! And congratulations to you too ❤️ I’m on 5mg folic acid and have been from before TTC I don’t think I’ll switch to pregnacare to after 12weeks

A08x · 25/05/2020 10:55

@BelievinForAMiracle congratulations what an exciting time for you!! My first day of this new cycle was my wedding anniversary, I was gutted when it meant AF arrived BANG ON our first anniversary, but worth it now lol! Snap I’m gonna do digital Friday also 💗

@Harper04 the digital tests aren’t sensitive at all I don’t think, from reading the conception board for so long I don’t think many people at all could get a +ve before missed AF! It’s an app called WTE (what to expect) and another one Pregnancy+ .. our baby’s are currently the size of a sesame seed lol 🙈 Today I’m quite tired, still very mild cramps niggling away & have felt a bit nauseous and tired. I’m a nurse and on my 3rd of four 12 hour shifts so I’m not sure if it’s work or pregnancy making me feel this way 😂 also full of wind 😳 keep farting but at least I can blame it on the patients hahaha!!! How are you feeling??

@NMH19 congrats! I’ve read online it’s normal so try not to worry.

I think I’m gonna book an early scan for 8 weeks, I found somewhere going it for £40 which I think is alright?! When are you guys gonna refer for midwife? X

BelievinForAMiracle · 25/05/2020 16:11

This afternoon I’m getting sudden sharp stabbing pains low in my pelvis. And more centrally. These are different from the dull cramps I’ve been getting. Any ideas?

helly013 · 25/05/2020 17:01

Hi all, I had my faint positive this morning 🥰 I had a miscarriage just before Christmas at 7 weeks, first pregnancy. Been trying every since but my cycles were a bit irregular for a while, they finally settled and knew my ovulation tests were right. I'm 12 days DPO and reckon around 2nd Feb at the moment.
I had a terrible headache and wind on Thursday and did wonder if that were signs, although I do get bloated right before AF so wasn't sure. Will do another few tests over the coming days.

Harper04 · 25/05/2020 18:23

@BelievinForAMiracle I love seeing people pregnant who were previously told it would be hard or couldn’t! That’s amazing! I don’t know when to ring the GP - I don’t think the midwifes by me will see you until you are 7 weeks so I may ring when I’m 5-6 weeks! I’ve been quite crampy with heaviness down there - I don’t think it’s anything to worry about 🙌🏼

@A08x I’ve ordered a digital with the weeks, it’s coming tomorrow! I’m a nigtmare, even though I’ve had positives I’m still testing with cheapies like twice a day 🙈 I’ve just downloaded that app!! Bless you - you just be shattered!! It’s hard when nobody knows why you’re feeling like crap too! What nursing do you do? I’m a nurse too! I’m currently out of practice for now, long story but my partner was quite sick and I couldn’t face going back as I was caring for people with what he had. I’m going to join the bank after all this! But yes I used to always blame the patients haha!! Are you doing 4 in a row?!

@helly013 hey!! Congrats!! ❤️ Sorry to hear about your MC! Flowers I’m in the same boat as you as I had one in March. So nervous now! But my tests have been getting slightly darker everyday.

pharmacoco · 25/05/2020 20:20

Hi ! Tested +VE saturday morning and managed another 3 tests since then as still in shock! Congrats to all others! Bought a clearblue 'weeks' estimator and it's showing 1 - 2 weeks Smile

A08x · 25/05/2020 20:27

@BelievinForAMiracle that must be so exciting when your gp didn’t think you could conceive! So happy for you 💗 Cramps I think are totally normal, if you look on the nhs website on what to expect for weeks 4 and 5 cramping is included there x

@helly013 congratulations ❤️ Sorry about your previous miscarriage 😔 good luck with your next tests xx

@Harper04 where do you order yours from? I found a deal on eBay for 2 digitals & an early detection for a tenner 😂 I tried to stop testing til Friday, managed to go 2 full days but text my husband today to go Tesco & buy some clear blues as I had only used FRER so far so wanted to see a positive on another brand 🙈 Awww what are the chances! I’m an ortho nurse for nhs, what nursing were you in? I’m so sorry about your partner I hope all is ok now ❤️ Yes 4 in a row! Roll on finishing tomorrow lol. I’m really nervous in work just now, we didn’t have any covid in but as I was leaving tonight we had a few getting admitted. I don’t want to nurse covid patients anymore due to this pregnancy, especially with our shit ppe, but I don’t want to tell my manager yet as it’s soooo early! And you know yourself what the nursing world is like .. staff confidentiality doesn’t exist 🙄🙄 Xx

pharmacoco · 25/05/2020 20:27

Also I wonder if you could help with the lingo please - whats AF ? dpo?
When should we call our GPs to inform them of the pregnancy? Confused about the weeks as I have read it's calculated from the date of the LMP rather than conception?
I'm a first timer, was told it would take a year + to conceive and it's been a month 😄

sophie911 · 25/05/2020 20:40

Hi everyone Smile hope you don't mind me jumping on, I had my BFP last week too and EDD of 26.01.2021, like a couple of you have said I'm worrying a lot today, have had small amounts of brown/pink discharge today and mild period pains I also think my tests haven't been progressing (maybe even slightly fainter) hopefully I am worrying about nothing though Confused X

helly013 · 25/05/2020 21:11

@Harper04 sorry to hear about your MC too! But pleased you’ve fallen pregnant again quickly. It will be an anxious wait until the 12 week scan but hopefully be here before we know it.

@pharmacoco most places have a self referral to the midwives. I didn’t realise this and went to see my doctor but was pointless as they don’t really do anything, didn’t even do a test just agreed the my positive tests were correct. I can self refer from 5/6 weeks. Also AF is auntie flow. DPO is days past ovulation. Dates start from the first day of your last period, so you’re about 4 weeks when you will get a positive test, technically the first 2 weeks you’re not technically pregnant as it’s before your ovulation but everyone ovulates at different times so it’s easier for them to date from the start of the tour cycle. It’s such a mind field isn’t it! But any questions big or small just ask we are all learning together.

Where is everyone located? I’m Christchurch in Dorset.

Harper04 · 25/05/2020 21:17

@pharmacoco hey! Congratulations on your BFP! Ahh I can’t wait for my digitals to come tomorrow and see the weeks. So AF means Aunt Flow (period) and DPO is days past ovulation. With my last pregnancy, my midwife wouldn’t see me until 7 weeks but I may ring when I’m 5 weeks. I know I’m being silly but I feel like as soon as I tell anyone something might happen 😫 I think I’m just anxious over my last MC though.

@A08x Ahhh I really hope your last shift is okay for you tomorrow - and goes quick! I’ve ordered 2 digitals from amazon coming tomorrow 🙈 I’ve spent a small fortune on ovulation kits and pregnancy tests! You must of been boiling today! 😫 I usually would say to wait BUT with everything that’s going on, I wonder if pulling your manager aside just to say it’s early days but.... because aren’t all pregnant women told to shield? Aww amazing, I really enjoyed surgical! I was a chemo nurse. Aww thank you 😘 Hes had the all clear now thank GOD. I just couldn’t face going back after my maternity because it all happened just before DD was born. I feel bad not being able to go back and help out but OH has to shield! I’ve felt exhausted and I’m not doing anything, I feel for you!!! Xx

@sophie911 congrats on your BFP!!! ❣️ If you’re having small amounts I would try not to worry (I know how hard it is though). Some people have little bleeding throughout their pregnancy apparently! If you’re worried though I’d definitely ring the GP - last time I was worried they referred me to EPU to check me over x

OP posts:
sophie911 · 25/05/2020 22:12

@Harper04 thanks! I'm planning on calling the GP tomorrow anyway to get referred to the midwife so will also mention it, fingers crossed it's all normal! I fell unexpectedly with my daughter and she is 7 now so can't remember the early days, oh how to be oblivious again!! I'm a nurse too BTW Smile

Harper04 · 26/05/2020 09:14

@sophie911 I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about but let us know 😘 How far along are you? Aww amazing, what nursing do you do?

Hi ladies... hope you don’t mind me joining...
I came off the pill after my last period (end of April) and yet to have a period but I FEEL pregnant. Had sore boobs last week, thirsty, exhausted, bloated and nausea like you can’t believe (been sick a few times)
Took a test this morning which was negative. Have I tested too early?! Not even sure when I’m due to come on? Xx
