@Nic2908 yeah seems like a lifetime ago on that thread ☺️ we were all so lucky though and glad we're getting to go through this all together x hope everyone's had a nice weekend x

Helski123 · 14/06/2020 22:27

@Katbaby like everyone else has said, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. And your scan is so close now, even though time seems to slow down when you're waiting.

I've got my scan tomorrow, like @Bumble84 I'm a mix of excited and nervous. Just hope everything is ok in there

Yellowbeansontoast · 15/06/2020 07:26

Good luck with scans today everyone! Flowers

Katbaby · 15/06/2020 08:29

Feeling a lot calmer today!
Good luck to those with scans today 🤞🤞🤞

Good luck with scans, god it doesn't seem 5 minutes ago we were all 5 weeks 😂 going so fast.

@katbaby I'm glad your feeling a little better, what time is your scan tomorrow? Xx

Katbaby · 15/06/2020 09:07

@Rnic1x I don't feel like it's gone fast from 5 weeks 🤣🤣 I feel like it's taken forever!

It's at 20 past 1 tomorrow. Glad it's not too early cos mornings are tough for me my sickness is always worst even if I'm awake early I usually lay in bed til about 10

Rnic1x · 15/06/2020 09:10

@katbaby ohh really I think it's flown in, prob as I haven't been poorly really though :( hopefully that settles for you soon.

All my appointments have been so early, my gender scan is 9.30 but it's a 2 hour drive away 😂🙈 I will reward myself with a shopping spree after it 😂

Katbaby · 15/06/2020 09:25

Aww @Rnic1x I'm glad you haven't been as sick I wouldn't wish it on anyone!
I'm so glad that shops are reopening now I want to start treating myself to baby things after the scan to make it more real to me!

OP posts:
Rnic1x · 15/06/2020 09:33

@katbaby yeah that's what I'm thinking make a day of Manchester and go shopping I need it my clothes don't fit 😂😂

Natt99 · 15/06/2020 09:58

Can't wait to go shopping properly and see all the cute baby things 😍

Anyone frustrated with their shape atm? My normal clothes feel really tight and uncomfortable but all the maternity clothes I've got (from ASOS sale 🥳) are too baggy 😏 glad I'm not going out much at the moment!

Also has anyone said they "knew" you were pregnant?! My neighbour, aunt and cousin all said they knew it and they sensed it 🤣 don't know how as we haven't seen anyone until recently!!

calipoppy · 15/06/2020 10:50

Morning gang! I slept for nearly 12 hours last night!! Find it amazing how some days my body basically just makes me sleep, would love to know what's going on in there!

Also I know it's so early (14 weeks tomorrow) but I swear this weekend I've started to be able to feel my baby move! It's the most amazing thing! My mum said she had it at 14 weeks too so maybe we just have sensitive wombs haha.

@Natt99 yes I have been in pyjamas for the past 3 weeks as maternity jeans I bought are still too big! My bloating seems to be going down a bit today though so back in leggings which at least feels a bit like I actually got dressed 😂 thank god for lockdown eh!

calipoppy · 15/06/2020 10:50

Also glad you're feeling calmer @Katbaby not long to wait now! 😊

Natt99 · 15/06/2020 11:04

Glad I'm not the only one @calipoppy 😂 yes my bloat was worse a few weeks ago, definitely flatter than it was.

Wow that's amazing if you can feel it moving! I bet the 16 weeks is just a guide so some people feel earlier than others. Very cool!

Katbaby · 15/06/2020 11:07

Im with you all on the clothes front. I did buy a lot of sportswear at the start of lockdown to inspire my home workouts haha so I do have multiple gym leggings that I'm living in currently. I did buy 2 dresses from topshop that aren't maternity but like a smock style for when the weather warms up again I'll attach pics

Ooh @Katbaby love those dresses 😍 also v jealous of your tan I'm a ghost at the moment haha! 👻

Bumble84 · 15/06/2020 12:26

I’m another one that thinks the weeks have dragged in! Probably because I’m not busy and can’t go out anywhere. I’m in Scotland so who knows when our shops will open. I’m not too keen on going out anyway though just now unless I have to.

Shroppy · 15/06/2020 12:56

Hi Ladies, my first time posting so a little late to the party but I had a private scan at the weekend and am due 30th December. I've been loving reading everyone's posts and seeing all the bumps, I just seem to be spreading sideways at the moment not sure if that's pregnancy or lockdown snacking! Good luck with scans this week x

Helski123 · 15/06/2020 13:26

Hi everyone! Scan went well today (Well apart from my bladder being too full so having to half empty it and then baby wriggling loads so took them ages to get the nuchal translucency measurement 😂) Measuring slightly ahead so due date is now Christmas eve. So amazing to see it on the screen, feels much more real now. I think I'll join you all in letting myself buy some baby things 😊

Good luck to everyone else with scans this week!

Natt99 · 15/06/2020 13:34

Aww how lovely @Helski123 great pic! I had the same issue, thought you were supposed to have a full bladder but the sonographer kept moaning about it 💁🏼‍♀️
Lovely dresses @Katbaby 😍 I got a really similar one to the smock one from top shop maternity, waiting to grow into it!
Also jealous of your tan!

Katbaby · 15/06/2020 15:46

Haha thanks ladies, glad to see scans have gone well today taking all the positive vibes 🤞🤞

Actually had a lovely day out with my mum on a walk and theres a cafe near us doing takeaway so we sat on the grass outside with BLTs which was lovely not to have to make my my own lunch! Also sitting in the sun has been delightful.

Yes @Natt99 ive seen topshop do the same one in maternity but hoping just the regular will fit during the summer months.. Although quite snug across chest hopefully boobs dont change much more.

How many are there of us left waiting for scans apart from @Katbaby and @Tink679 ?

It's all becoming real now isn't it.
We still haven't announced it... I keep getting nervous. I've told a few more of my friends though so that's nice.

With clothes, I've ordered three things from PLT and they've been fab.. I got the tie dye dress I've posted.. not the best photo it you can see it's floaty.. it's SO comfy!! Then I got a fab jumpsuit that's got an elasticated waistband that is soooo soft and comfy too! I've just ordered the next size up and they all, so far.. fit fab. It is hard when your not exactly "maternity" size.
I also got amazing maternity bras from sainsburys , for anyone who doesn't have the biggest boobs naturally they are fab.. they don't have any wire and they are silky soft. Two for £14 so a bargain too!

Bumble84 · 15/06/2020 18:13

I’ve got my scan on Wednesday, hoping for all good news!

We’re not going to do a big announcement as such. We’ll tell immediate family face to face and I’ll phone my close friends but otherwise we’re just planning on news travelling.

makingababy · 15/06/2020 19:25

I’m still waiting for my scan, but not much longer - it’s tmw at 9am. I really want to get screening results back and hopefully feel like I can breathe again/be excited properly.

I also recommend the Sainsbury’s bras :)

X

emmalily9 · 15/06/2020 19:42

I also have ended up getting the sainburys bras and they're perfect as I haven't been able to wear any kind of bra since last October (unknown back problem that due to the pandemic I've still not seen a consultant 🤦🏽‍♀️) so nice seeing everyone's scan photos and seeing some peoples bumps, can't believe how real it's all getting now! I had a bit of a bump suddenly appear overnight last week. Buying maternity jeans have been the best thing for me as I was struggling to wear normal jeans. Also had a nice time on mamas and papas website this afternoon looking at their sale if anyone's interested!

djmbaker · 15/06/2020 19:44

Oooh good luck @makingababy and @Bumble84 💓
Not long to wait now xx
