@skinnyhotchoc she's right as there's no point in having the combined test at your scan but you still definitely need to go as they do a blood test to gets the placenta blood flow as well as the measurements/nucal fold which they don't do at the nipt as that can only be done from 11/12 weeks.

So anyone having the Harmony definitely go to your 12 weeks scan it is incredibly important 👍

@excitednerves yes I had this during my second pregnancy and also had my 12 week scan a few days later and all was absolutely fine. I hope someone with more information will come along, I have had a not so favourable outcome as well with bleeding but there was a lot. Spotting is very normal, but it is unbelievably worrying, honestly I'm so sorry your going through this. I'm sure everything will be ok, but you can ring today and try and get a scan, I really would try if I were you, they can only say no. I would push for it lovely

@skinnyhotchoc and @champoopapi. Thank you. That’s reassuring. I’ll call the gp and see if they will refer me today. I was finally starting to get excited as my scan got closer and now I’m back to worrying. I don’t “feel” like something’s gone wrong, and I’m telling myself that I’d know if it was the end so praying it’s something innocent.

kkr168 · 15/05/2020 08:06

Thank you ladies, I'll have a good read of that thread today.
If it wasn't for this forum I don't think I'd have ever heard about nipt, when I had my son 16 years ago it wasn't mentioned then either.
I did have a good chat with my husband a few days ago & we agreed we wouldn't continue the pregnancy if there was a high chance of disability, however I would find a termination extremely hard no matter how far along I was. My stepson is disabled, he is 19 but mentally he is much, much younger. He has epilepsy, hearing loss & global development delay, he can't read, tell the time, count, etc, he will more than likely live with us forever. I know I couldn't devote the time he needs if I was to have a child with disabilities too. I just turned 35 a few days ago, so probably classed as a geriatric pregnancy too!!

Oh & @ChampooPapi congratulations on twin girls, I'm the opposite & surrounded by boys, even our dogs male!!

skinnyhotchoc · 15/05/2020 10:03

Not sure if this has previously been discussed so apologies if so. What's everyone's weight gain like? I was doing ok until last week when I suddenly gained 3lb making me 5lb up so far. My bmi was 1 point up to begin with so trying to keep a lid on things

peachypetite · 15/05/2020 10:07

Morning all. I’ve had my scan and baby looking great! A massive weight off my mind and I feel I’ll be able to relax a bit now.

MummyShark97 · 15/05/2020 10:25

@peachypetite congratulations that is wonderful news !! x

EithneBlue · 15/05/2020 10:27

Scan this morning looked all good :-) There's an actual human in me -- due date brought forward a little so I'm now 12+6!
Bring on the screening results so that I can tell people :-)

MichelleOR84 · 15/05/2020 10:29

Scan went well this morning 😅!! 13+4 weeks and due date November 16th!! I’m soooooooo relieved !

Now to tell work though .... 😬

lionsmum · 15/05/2020 10:45

@skinnyhotchoc welcome😊 try to make sure you are really really hydrated before having your blood taken, it helps a lot!

@excitednerves I'm sorry to hear about your bleeding, hopefully it is totally normal for you and nothing to worry about! I can't offer any advice but hopefully some other ladies can🙏🏼

@peachypetite @EithneBlue @MichelleOR84 Congratulations on the scans going well ladies, so wonderful😊

RunnerGirl123 · 15/05/2020 10:46

Some lovely news on this thread! Great to hear about the scans going well, and twin girls for @ChampooPapi!

I can't comment on weight gain because my digital scales have no battery but I think I've definitely put on weight 🙈.

MummyShark97 · 15/05/2020 10:48

awh wow it's so nice to see all of you coming back to share your scan news! Congratulations to everyone! @EithneBlue @peacypetite @MichelleOR84

EithneBlue · 15/05/2020 11:02

@RunnerGirl123 -- I don't often weigh myself, but did for the booking in a few weeks ago... got weighed again today and have put on 2kg! Sedentary lockdown life is getting to me, I think!

@peachypetite & MichelleOR84 -- really good to see you also having good scans :-)

kkr168 · 15/05/2020 11:10

@skinnyhotchoc I'm avoiding the scales but imagine I've definitely gained weight. My BMI is already high so I'm trying to keep a check on things. I seem to be going through a cycle of 2 days feeling sick, with not much of an appetite, 2 days of being starving all day, no amount of eating satisfies the hunger, then 2 days feeling normal.

Congratulations to everyone that had scans today 💐

ChampooPapi · 15/05/2020 11:16

@peachypetite oh my god! Brilliant news to log on to, congratulations lovely 💖🥰

@EithneBlue thank goodness! I am so so relieved to read this, you must be light as a feather today. Just enjoy it and luxuriate in the feeling, you are on strict instructions not to worry for the rest of the weekend. Next week, fine. But give yourself some blissful peace for a few days. So happy to see this update 🥰

@excitednerves another here who got to
12 weeks in my last pregnancy and then had a bleed a couple of days after that. I was due my scan around 3 days later and unfortunately the EPU asked me to hang off until then. It was a difficult few days but all was fine. Had another bleed similar just over a week later and again all fine.

If I were you, I’d still get in touch with the EPU today. They may be able to fit you in. It would be better than being worried all weekend.

Ecstatic to see all of the wonderful scan news!

excitednerves · 15/05/2020 12:06

Hi everyone, thanks to all of you who replied. EPU can’t see me until Monday so waiting it is.

On the plus side the bleeding has stopped so that’s a good sign. And I’m still not in pain, also good. Going to take it easy and relax as much as I can over the weekend. And eat chocolate. I had chocolate for breakfast today. I think it’s permitted.

excitednerves · 15/05/2020 12:14

Lovely to hear so many of you with happy scans this morning! Brilliant news!

Furbabymum15 · 15/05/2020 13:22

Ladies I had my scan this morning and unfortunately I am the 1 in 4 statistic of a missed miscarriage. (2nd time) I would like to wish you all the best on your journeys for happy and healthy pregnancies xx ♥️

Beccarans89 · 15/05/2020 13:36

ChampooPapi · 15/05/2020 16:46

@Furbabymum15 I'm so sorry, it is just so unfair this has happened to you again. I really hope with every fiber of my being that you are supported by everyone around you. There is a lot of help on here as well, I found it really got me through so many hard days. Just devastated for you. Big virtual hug from me 💜
