@RestorationInsanity and @skinnyhotchoc yay! Beautiful scan photos 😍 so happy to see your updates ladies. I'd say the same as skinny I'd be leaning towards a girl too @RestorationInsanity 💜💜

@danielasummer that must have been amazing telling everyone like that! It's a lot isn't it after everything, it's really the best feeling in the world but also very intense after everything you've been through.

I think 20 weeks will bring us the calm waters that we need to feel secure and also just the mellow times where we are really progressing far into our pregnancies, everyone knows and has done for a while by then too, so it's no big deal anymore. And we are kind of just normal pregnant women again (if there is such a thing!). I can't wait to find out what you are having 🥰💜

I have to admit that I cracked scan wise ladies 🤦 yes I know I said I'd wait the 8 weeks but there is one for just 45 pounds at Ultrasound direct and I treated myself to a midway through one, so end of next week. I'll be nearly 16 weeks then.

So daniela that probably answers your question fairly comprehensively...like a few of us I can't wait either so caved to the scan and will be getting my 'hit' next Thursday 😏

I'll keep an eye on the thread too, hopefully we'll squeeze all the 12 week scans into this one 🤞

I'll put baby feet on the header anyway so it's easy to find 👣👣👣

@ChampooPapi I took your advice & called the hospital about my scan, all booked in for 14th july, ill be 20+5 by then. Its my stepsons birthday on the 19th so will be nice to add from your baby brother/sister onto his card, as we will be finding out the sex this time.

ChampooPapi · 29/05/2020 16:34

@kkr168 oh brilliant, perfect to timing for it too. I do have a feeling the next stage is going to go a hell of a lot faster then that first 6 weeks. God those times were grim. How old is your stepson? He's in his late teens isn't he? Having a new baby is going to be so much fun, everyone is going to dote on them so much 😏

Gosh this thread has filled up so quickly. So happy to hear of all the good scans today too!!

kkr168 · 29/05/2020 17:18

@ChampooPapi he will be 19, he has learning disabilities & mentally is alot younger though. He is desperate for a sister as he has 4 brothers.

Pinktruffle · 29/05/2020 17:47

Sorry for a slight change in subject, and sorry if this is TMI. Anyone else getting random wierd stabbing type pains in there vagina?

Eskdale2004 · 29/05/2020 17:53

What a scorcher today has been!! How is everyone coping? It’s my youngest’s first birthday today so we’ve had a chilled walk to the river, a refreshing paddle and I’m upstairs having 5 while the rabble eat a birthday tea! She’s having a danger nap right now 😬

RunnerGirl123 · 29/05/2020 18:12

@Pinktruffle I am!! Like shooting pains inside, had loads in the last few days. Nothing too painful but definitely takes your breath away! I think people call it lightning crotch or fancy daggers haha!!

Pinktruffle · 29/05/2020 18:16

Ahh glad I'm not the only one! It's right in the virginal canal so worried I was having a shortening cervix or something (I'm a bit of an anxious pregnant woman if you didn't guess) so that's reassuring..... but annoying! I hope they stop soon!

Pinktruffle · 29/05/2020 18:27

That should say vaginal canal, theres no virginal canals in this thread haha Grin

ChampooPapi · 29/05/2020 19:03

@Pinktruffle you are experiencing the joys of the 'fanny dagger' very normal but not pleasent!

@Eskdale2004 wow one years old today 🕯️🎈you must be thinking back to having her this time last year. She needs the nap for sure, yes she'll be up a bit later bedtime wise but I think naps post birthday excitement are a much better idea then pushing through and having a very tired and miserable baby until bedtime.

Is anyone having a scan tomorrow? We have a couple next week don't we, I remember a few from the first week of june. I'll start a new thread when we reach 40 pages 👣

Just checking back to say scan all went well today. Such a relief! Thank you for all your kind messages!

firstbabybell · 29/05/2020 19:46

@pinkyruffle @runnergirl123 I have had the fanny daggers this afternoon!!!

  • I actually think mine are wind related. Good to know it's a common thing.

Another glamorous side effect of pregnancy. 🙄 My baby will start hearing next week (15 weeks) & I was joking with my hubby that the first thing the poor bugger will hear will be its mum trumping!

firstbabybell · 29/05/2020 19:49

Congratulations @bobbiebleu & everyone else with scans this week!

@lionsmum hope you're ok. Sounds frightening for you. Take out easy this weekend.

@champoopappi I don't know how you are able to remember when all the scans are, there are so many. Very impressive - especially with baby brain!!

ChampooPapi · 29/05/2020 20:11

@Bobbieblu fantastic news lovely 💖🥰 how are those twins looking 👣👣

@firstbabybell you may have noticed but I am obsessed with scans, even other people's 😂🥰🧐

I'll start a new thr in the morning as I'm off to watch endeavour in bed now. I hope that as we are all early ish to bed that the thread won't be full by the morning 🤞🤞 I'll start one very early morn so we should be fine. As this one needs to be a bit fuller before I do one otherwise there is too much crossover and people don't get responded to or given the love they need 😭😆

I'll post it on here anyway as soon as it's done

@ChampooPapi babies were looking perfect and wiggling away like crazy. It’s a such a relief to see them growing. Tempted to start looking at prams and cots, I just don’t even know where to start...

RestorationInsanity · 29/05/2020 22:02

Ah me too! The fanny daggers that is! I thought it was too early but glad (sort of) that some of you are getting them too!

So we've got a guess of one boy, and the rest girl. I have thought boy from the beginning, for no reason, heartbeat of 157 apparently suggests girl though, so I guess it's all to play for!

RunnerGirl123 · 29/05/2020 22:30

@Bobbieblu congrats on your scan, glad both babies are doing well

RunnerGirl123 · 29/05/2020 22:33

I think my fanny daggers are probably related to constipation 🙈. But who actually knows!! I do think they're completely normal though!

@Restorationinsanity are you finding out the sex?

Eskdale2004 · 29/05/2020 22:42

Congratulations for the wonderful scans today! So nice to see.
@ChampooPapi she’s gone to bed now! Wasn’t the easiest to get to sleep but she’s a rubbish sleeper anyway! What on earth was I doing getting pregnant again so soon 😱 ah well, in 19 years they’ll bother be working or at university and I’ll be sipping cocktails in the Bahamas and having a full nights sleep every night.
It’s been too hot for skin today! Have been so out of breath!

Amyyy1 · 29/05/2020 23:35

Omg I am so relieved that lots of you have been getting that pain as well, thought there was something seriously wrong but was embarrassed to ring the doctor and ask!🤣

RestorationInsanity · 30/05/2020 06:43

@RunnerGirl123 DH would like to I think but I don't. I've told him I'll consider it if he is allowed at the 20 week scan, but if he isn't, I definitely won't. I would love for him to tell me when baby arrives whether it's a boy or a girl. How about you?
