@ChampooPapi it really is, I think everyone has loved getting good news amongst all the doom and gloom and peoples reactions have been amazing, I feel so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends.

@ChampooPapi all well here thank you, had a private scan yesterday so my DH could see baby before my 12 week scan next week which was a lovely experience for both of us. How are you doing, what day is your scan?

NaomiB79 · 16/05/2020 15:53

Hi everyone hope you are all keeping well. I’m 14+1 weeks with my first baby at aged 40. I’m still really really tired most of the time feel like I could actually sleep all day and was wondering if that’s normal. I thought the tiredness would have lifted a bit by now?

ChampooPapi · 16/05/2020 16:05

@lionsmum Monday is scan day for me, 3pm 😬

@NaomiB79 normal until birth I'm afraid, you only really feel completely 'you' again once the baby is out. But you generally feel more energy from about 16/ 20 weeks. It's very tiring being pregnant unfortunately, but you do feel amazing once you've had the baby and then can cope with night feeds and everything so much better then you think because you are finally a single entity again.

The clear head feeling is delicious, just thinking about it makes me practically salivate. I just think most of pregnancy is pretty tough to be honest, the baby part is so much easier.

I'm having twins and have two others and anything is easier then being pregnant trust me ☺️

Hello! I’m very much still here. The migraine last weekend was so hideous I had to limit my screen time. Feeling much more human now. Loving all the scan pics. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I declined all tests and scans for the moment. I have booked in with the midwives and have a 20 week scan date of 9th July. Still haven’t told many people - I have only now realised the flaw in my plan to wait until 20 weeks, I already look pregnant and it will be abundantly obvious very soon. See photo from Tuesday. (In lieu of a scan pic).

I have been phoned twice by the midwives to say that my notes are at the MLU (which is a 7 minute drive from my house). But I haven’t collected them yet.

I think I’ve gained about 9lb but seeing as with one of my previous pregnancies I forgot to eat, I’ll take that. I think the baby was so big it was making me feel full so I wasn’t hungry. To compensate, during my last pregnancy I ate Snickers bars constantly and he came out at 9lb 11oz. I’ll try and go a bit steadier this time Blush

I love reading all your news. My other DC are calling the baby Moose for the moment. Any other good bump names out there?

@lionsmum thankyou so much, big hugs and best wishes to you xx,❤️

NaomiB79 · 16/05/2020 18:33

Thanks for the advice @ChampooPapi good to know. Wow twins with two already you must be super tired!

Hopefully I’ll have more energy in a few weeks x

roro87 · 16/05/2020 19:51

There is no hiding this with me anymore. Even though it is first baby I have a short torso and with how bloated I've been you can definitely see it. I was carrying a little weight but barely over my BMI.

ChampooPapi · 16/05/2020 20:12

@roro87 I hear you! I know most of mine is bloat but it is bloat swelling I'd never have if I wasn't pregnant and obviously something is pushing it out now at this stage!

I can't wait to do our bump pictures 🙌

Let's wait till everyone is over their twelve week scans and we've got to about 16 weeks, the we will all have something to show off I reckon. Though obviously if I push my stomach out I look like 6 months gone 🤦

ChampooPapi · 16/05/2020 20:15

But if anyone wants to post theirs before then go ahead! It's amazing how much everything steps up at this stage and some people are obviously starting to show now 💖

Hello everyone!
I have my dating scan tomorrow at 11am. I'm 12 weeks exact on Monday.
God I'm so nervous! The nerves are defiantly there now! Last scan was at 6 weeks where there was a sack etc present. Just hope all goes well! Fingers crossed!

skinnyhotchoc · 16/05/2020 20:53

@ChampooPapi . I had a tummy tuck a few years ago and I think I'm going to end up a bit of an odd shape. I've been stressing like crazy worrying that there won't be any room in there but I seem to be popping out already. I have a bulge right under my boobs. Not sure if it's baby or just the ridiculous amount of crisps I've been eating

kkr168 · 16/05/2020 21:00

I've been so ill today, spent all morning being sick, not good when the new bathroom suite is being installed so water is shut off at the mains!!
Finally started to feel better now, so going to have an early night, hopefully wake tomorrow sickness free!

ChampooPapi · 16/05/2020 21:06

@skinnyhotchoc I actually have a friend who had a tummy tuck as well and when she got preg she was incredibly worried about the stretching and the scar tissue, but it turned out absolutely fine and she bounced back fairly quickly post partum. She was an exercise junkie a bit though, although at one point so was I before my last baby! After these ones I absolutely have to get back into shape again or I will end up gigantic. Ill give it a year after I give birth though, feeding needs rest and lots of food 🙌. Are you seeing a consultant about the stomach surgery at all in relation to the pregnancy? The body is very adaptable and amazing at stretching

@kkr168 same 😫 it’s awful isn’t it? I’m 12 weeks today, having more good days than bad now but I still get random waves of nausea. Certain smells and the thought of some foods make me heave and vomit. I could’ve been feeling perfectly fine 20 minutes ago.

Snowwhite2020 · 16/05/2020 21:25

@Eskdale2004 and @kkr168 I hear ya! How far along are you? I’m still being sick and am generally less nauseous than I have been but that has been replaced by fairly spontaneous vomiting and pretty bad headaches. I’m in my 12th week. You have my sympathy. Let’s hope we feel better soon 💖

Snowwhite2020 · 16/05/2020 21:26

@kkr168 I can’t imagine not having running water at home through all this- what a shame!!! Love to you 💖

Eskdale2004 · 16/05/2020 22:30

@Snowwhite2020 yes mine seems a lot more spontaneous now too. Whereas between 8-10.5 weeks it was almost constant nausea with or without vomiting. I do feel it’s getting better on the whole now though. It’s never been unbearable but let’s face it, feeling/being sick to any extent is never a nice feeling. My boobs are still quite sore, they’ve been quite constant this pregnancy. Other pregnancies they would come and go a lot more. Haven’t had a scan yet but I’m approx 12 weeks today.

kkr168 · 17/05/2020 06:17

I'm 11+6, although I've had nausea the whole way through so far, this is only the 2nd time I've been sick!
Woke up at 5am absolutely starving, no sign of any nausea/sickness yet, hopefully it stays that way as have a very busy day.

PipTed · 17/05/2020 07:09

Hello. Joining this thread as I’ve just gone 12 weeks, scan is on tues. had a private scan last sat so my husband could see the live action and help calm my nerves and all was good, so positive vibes for tues when I go it alone.

Due date 28th Nov, main symptoms are currently feeling uncomfortably full at meal times. Hopefully means I won’t pile on too much in 2nd tri - gained 4lbs in the past week though. Blush

Great seeing everyone’s scan results and good luck to those who are patiently waiting for theirs.

NatalieH2220 · 17/05/2020 07:24

Morning all, just saving a space. Had my 12 week scan last week and all looking good.

Still can't shift the nausea completely. Hope everyone is well.

ChampooPapi · 17/05/2020 08:00

Welcome @PipTed 🙌 and morning @NatalieH2220, so glad your scan went well. I think the better times may be more like post 16 weeks for some of us.

I too don't feel the constant neseua where I couldn't litrally move from week 6 untill 9. But I've definitely been more physically sick the last few weeks and the heads and truly awful!
