@FireflyGirl the inflatable autopilot gets me every time! 😂

mOmShanti · 20/05/2020 19:55

@carrot88 @onlyreadingneverposting8 @AnxiousLady1

Sounds like we’re all petite and bumpy! I’m 4’11” and a 6/8, I ‘had’ a good strong core (I’m a fitness instructor 🤣)... but the pregnancy hormones came along and my core literally gave up at the first opportunity 😂 I’ve even been struggling with walking AND talking at times 😭

Fouryearslater · 20/05/2020 19:55

Airplane is one of the funniest films I’ve ever watched!

mOmShanti · 20/05/2020 19:56

@littlegem84 @FireflyGirl

Feel movie night coming on 🤣

carrot88 · 20/05/2020 19:58

@mOmShanti yay - I've felt it once today too! My midwife said it was early but could definitely be movement! So hard to explain the feeling to DH!

Pinktruffle · 20/05/2020 20:07

@FilthyforFirth It feels like a bloody long wait though, doesn't it?! What time is your scan? Mines at 1pm

FilthyforFirth · 20/05/2020 20:16

@pinktruffle it is Friday so not quite a day... haha. But it is at 920 so at least dont have to wait too long on the day.

Good luck for tomorrow!

Pinktruffle · 20/05/2020 20:24

Mine is Friday too @filthyforfirth - I remember that we both had ours on the same day. Looks like mine will be the last one though ☹
Good luck for yours too

Fouryearslater · 20/05/2020 20:29

Mine is 8:50 on Friday so I’m in early!

Fouryearslater · 20/05/2020 20:30

Not quite sure I’m going to be up and out on time. I start work at 8 and can’t remember the last time I was at my desk (downstairs 🤣) on time having showered etc!

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 20/05/2020 20:55

I love the idea that you'll all be watching airplane now 😂

bluebell94 · 20/05/2020 21:45

Anyone getting any stretchy/stitch like pains? Not sure if it's ligaments. Feels like a mild stitch across my lower abdomen. It's not awful but aware of it and it's not constant. Seemed to just start an hour or so ago.

...could also be a consequence of the rather large Chinese takeaway we had for tea earlier 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

FilthyforFirth · 20/05/2020 21:56

Ooh I thought I would be first @Fouryearslater! Am I right in thinking you also suffer from HG? The early mornings kill me, and I will have to leave so early as not my usual hospital. Hope your mornings are better!

Pinktruffle · 20/05/2020 21:57

I've had them on and off for the past 3/4 days @bluebell94. Always on the left hand side but sometimes lower down near where your legs join your lady parts, I've just had one come on now which is higher up - more abdomen/top of uterus

FlashesOfRage · 20/05/2020 22:20

@Sherssxx

I just wanted to say congrats on your scan 💗 I think it got a bit missed back on p14 x

It’s a shame about the bladder issue! I did that at my 10wk scan and was bloody annoyed lol x

I think from your scan that you are having a girl xxx 😘

FlashesOfRage · 20/05/2020 22:29

@Lulubon

Congrats on your lovely scan 😍 I think it got a bit missed on p16!

Bloody nightmare keeping up with this lot of chatterboxes 😂 x

I’m guessing little girl from your scan pic xxx

FlashesOfRage · 20/05/2020 22:42

@Pink15

About the placenta, it actually moves! 😳

I asked about mine at the 12wk scan and she said “posterior at the moment but the migrate around so no way to know where they’ll end up!”

Seems bonkers to me because I think of the placenta as a fixed structure plumbed into the wall but apparently it shifts about (which is why you can have a placenta previa that resolves itself before birth!) x

FlashesOfRage · 20/05/2020 22:44

Oh lol! Should have read further on as @HarrietM87 gives a wayyyyy better explanation about placentas 💗💗

mOmShanti · 20/05/2020 23:58

@Pinktruffle @bluebell94
yes! Me too, it started tonight- before dinner so I don’t think it’s dinner related. Lower back ache, left side ache, groin ache, all dull rather than sharp, and it comes and goes. A bit concerning but I’m assuming it’s par for the course. When the body is stretching and changing so much it’s bound to bring aches and pains, no?

Addler · 21/05/2020 07:46

Possible TMI question- does anyone know if you can get thrush just in one spot? I've had a really itchy patch on my labia since yesterday, but nothing around the vaginal entrance and no discharge. I've never had thrush before but know it's more common in pregnancy so not sure if that's what it is?

I do have quite sensitive skin in general and am covered in little rashes everywhere atm due to allergies.

Fouryearslater · 21/05/2020 08:34

@FilthyforFirth yes to HG, but actually, first thing isn’t too bad for it, I get worse as the day goes on (I have all the drugs before getting up though!).

wannabebump · 21/05/2020 08:44

@Addler not sure this will be much help. TMI possibly though 😂 I've had thrush whilst not pregnant and whilst going through an ectopic and it was the same symptoms. Maybe a call to your midwife just to check would be best?x

wannabebump · 21/05/2020 08:47

Gender scans... I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea but we've decided we'd like to know for a few reasons. Our local clinic is now taking bookings. It says on their website that it should be between 16 and 22 weeks. I assume that towards the latter end of that bracket will give a more "accurate" scan as baby will be bigger...do you think 20+ would be better?x

HarrietM87 · 21/05/2020 09:01

@wannabebump I don’t think it really matters - they’ll be able to tell any time within that window so go when it suits you.

I think there is an upper limit because after that the baby is more squished up in there and it can actually be harder to get a good view.

wannabebump · 21/05/2020 09:33

@HarrietM87 never thought of it like that but that's very true! Thanks!
