@AnneFTM welcome! And congrats! Hope you're keeping well x

TangBloodyFastic · 20/05/2020 10:52

Morning all!

Finally just been for my dating scan! Feels like been waiting forever! Amazing how everyone's scan pictures are so different 🥰

Did the sonographer give anyone any indications that all was ok at the scan? Mine was not giving anything away! NT 1.9mm which I've read is in the normal range?

Just because I know you are all invested in my bowel movements, I’ve just had a successful poo 😳 happy birthday to me!!

Caldey11 · 20/05/2020 14:13

@Fouryearslater Well done!

Pink15 · 20/05/2020 14:27

@TangBloodyFastic yeah mine gave nothing away I literally asked a million questions as she wasn't telling me anything lol. I think mine was 1.7mm and I asked if it was normal and even that she replied very vague like yes but your blood tests are more important so don't read into it!

Hancock2020 · 20/05/2020 14:34

Got my results today, downs is at 1:5300, and Edward's is at 1:4200. Says its low risk, is that very low or normal low?

Hancock2020 · 20/05/2020 14:38

Also had my cervix checked this morning because of the polyp but they aren't worried but apparently I do have some sort of infection down there ( which is WHY I went to the docs in the first place) but I still haven't been contacted by the doctor, which is silly, this could cause issues for me. Should I contact my midwife to kick some ass???

FireflyGirl · 20/05/2020 14:45

@TangBloodyFastic mine was 1.8mm, and I was told that's good, but it has to be combined with blood tests before the final results. Took 2 weeks to get the results, and came back very low risk.

@Fouryearslater congratulations?? Grin Seriously though, hopefully you're now feeling more comfortable.

FireflyGirl · 20/05/2020 14:50

@Hancock2020 how old are you? Those scores look very low (is good!) - for example, I'm 36 and the normal result for my age would be 1:270. I assume you're at least in your 30s (seem to recall you already have tween children) so 1:5300 would be brilliant.

You can Google to find out average by age.

If there's an infection you're not being treated for, I'd definitely speak to the midwife!!

TangBloodyFastic · 20/05/2020 14:52

@Pink15 mine was same -cloak and dagger 😂

Thanks @FireflyGirl that's what mine said too. Guess I'll just have to wait. Pregnancy, it's all about the waiting isn't it lol

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 20/05/2020 15:00

Exciting to see more lovely scans. Mine is early tomorrow, I'm a real bundle of nerves!

Hancock2020 · 20/05/2020 15:09

@FireflyGirl I'm 35

Pink15 · 20/05/2020 15:11

@IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley good luck for your scan tomorrow Shirley 😂🙈 sorry couldn't resists haha! What does your username mean?

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 20/05/2020 15:22

pink45
Ha ha! I don't blame you.

It's from the film airplane... the co pilot says to the pilot 'surely you can't be serious' and the pilot comes can with 'I am serious, and don't call me Shirley!'

Always made me giggle when I was little...

FireflyGirl · 20/05/2020 15:33

@Pink15 you've obviously led a cultured sheltered life Grin

@Hancock2020 your baseline will be about the same as mine then, so those are great results. All falling into place 😁

@TangBloodyFastic sooooooo much waiting...

seventhrow · 20/05/2020 15:34

Welcome @AnneFTM :-) We are due around the same time - my new due date is 7/11 and this is also my first time!

Clo1997cc · 20/05/2020 15:56

Had my 12 week scan last Thursday, measured 13+1 so I'm 14 weeks today. Any guesses on gender? I can't believe how clear the image was little one was moving all over the placeGrin

Scan went fine! I'm so relieved. Been having period like cramps for a few days so was a little worried.

Baby had its legs crossed at the ankles and was pretty relaxed. I was able to take some videos as well for DP. This is my favourite picture where it looks like it's thinking!

ACatCalledLola · 20/05/2020 16:41

Congratulations on all the scans!
@Hancock2020 I’m 37 and my downs results were 1:2300 and Edwards/Patau 1:5000. The background risk for my age alone is something like 1:147 for downs and 1:250 for Edwards/Patau. My bloods lower my age risk significantly as I imagine yours do. For dd1 my risks were about the same. They were slightly lower for dd2.

Hancock2020 · 20/05/2020 17:43

Omg, this is stupid, so hospital doctor looking up my "area" says I have infection, but docs FINALLY call me to tell me I dont!
I contacted my midwife, hopefully she can sort something I dont want to just leave it.
Oh yeah, forgot to post this gem this morning, I have quite a large bump, it also says on my notes that I'm pregnant and yet the colposcapy department make me do a pregnancy test 🤣🤣 sheer brilliance!

FilthyforFirth · 20/05/2020 17:54

Congrats to all scans today, lovely news!

@Fouryearslater I am well pleased for you! After 10 days I finally went on Monday. The relief is immense isn't it?!

Mine is sooooo close now. 1 more day...

Pink15 · 20/05/2020 19:19

@FilthyforFirth @IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley

Omg I've never heard of that film now I feel stupid 😂

Pink15 · 20/05/2020 19:20

@FireflyGirl sorry tagged wrong person in last post 🤣

FireflyGirl · 20/05/2020 19:32

@Pink15 if you're not of a certain age and don't like daft films, you wouldn't have seen it! DH loves it... Grin

mOmShanti · 20/05/2020 19:39

@carrot88 yes to the tickling inside- I’ve been feeling it on off for a week and I’m sure it’s not gas. ♥️
