@futuredreams I'm 16+1 and I've felt mine, too. Little pops for about a week (which could have been wind Blush) but then on Saturday I felt a sort of 'grinding' in my pelvis, which I remember from DS which was him turning over. Now, when I first get into bed at night, I can feel it.

FireflyGirl · 19/05/2020 08:07

Whoops, posted too soon.

@wannabebump that's what I'm hoping that the physio will do - point me in the direction of a good tutorial and/or advise on exercise to keep me as flexible as possible. I had ambitions of going swimming three times a week, but that's obviously out of the window. Unless I use DS's paddling pool Wink

@LozEliza most first time mums don't get a bump until around 20 weeks, and it can be longer if you're tall and/or your uterus tilts backwards. Those of us showing earlier seem to mostly be onto DC2 or more, may have a uterus that tilts further forward than average, and I show early because of my body shape - I'm short and have a curve at the bottom of my back, meaning my hips/abdomen already thrust forward. You're at that stage where you're probably feeling better, so want some 'evidence' of being pregnant, but it will come - you suddenly won't be able to turn over in bed without help Grin

BabyKnighty1 · 19/05/2020 08:32

@60sPony omg yes the Lululemon aligns are amazing! I brought one pair and really really really want to buy another but they are so expensive

seventhrow · 19/05/2020 09:01

Interesting to read about everyone’s bumps and whether they are showing or not. What’s the difference between looking a bit round around the middle and “showing”?! I had been expecting not to show for a few more weeks as am FTM but am 15 + 3 and feel it’s coming earlier. I’m a size 8 and petite so the extra tummy feels and looks really obvious to me. But if I lie flat it goes away.

Woke up today and my boobs have grown again. I think I’ve gone up 2 cup sizes already.

Addler · 19/05/2020 09:21

I wish my boobs had grown. I don't look any different at all, I just don't feel pregnant. Scan finally tomorrow so maybe I'll feel it more afterwards!

FireflyGirl · 19/05/2020 09:26

@seventhrow mine starts under my boobs, rather than a spare tyre tummy round the middle, if you see what I mean, where my uterus pushes everything else up out of the way!

Hay94 · 19/05/2020 09:35

Hi everyone!
Do you mind if I join?! I know I'm a bit late to the party! But wanted to wait until my scan, due to a loss last year.

Due date is 25th November ❤️

BuffaloCauliflower · 19/05/2020 09:43

Hi @Hay94 of course! You’re very welcome. I had a loss last year too, was hard not to worry with this one but starting to feel relaxed and positive now Smile

@Hay94 welcome and congratulations!! Your scan went well then??

@FireflyGirl ahh yes, totally get you. mine is like that in the evenings. I look like a small child who's tummy is still distended, plus these ridiculous boobs on top. Absolutely bizarre.

@Addler good luck for tomorrow!! xx

BuffaloCauliflower · 19/05/2020 09:52

I have a roundish tummy and I’m prone to bloating anyway so harder to discern what is baby bump, but I can definitely feel a harder sort of curve now. I’m not desperate to show so I’ll just go with it, my sister was absolutely massive with her first so I’m just hopeful mine stays reasonably compact! I’m only 5”2 so I don’t want to topple over 😂

Good luck @Addler Smile

@FireflyGirl that makes me feel better thank you :)

I had my 16 week appointment at the mw today (face to face). It was really quick just ran through my blood results, tested blood pressure and urine. In my white notes it says that we should have gone through a lot more things (breast feeding etc) but I'm kind of glad we didn't as tbh I prefer to do my own research on everything online.

I did ask her about showing and she said that people with a stronger core tend to show later. I'm not particularly fit or sporty but I would say my core is one of my stronger parts so it does make sense I guess.

I think I'm just getting nervous as I've got a private scan on Saturday and I got a bit jittery before my 12 week scan as well. I'm also feeling so much better I've barely got symptoms now.

Hay94 · 19/05/2020 10:35

Aw thank you @BuffaloCauliflower and @seventhrow
Yes scan went really well 😁
I'm from near Brighton, is anyone local?

Hay94 · 19/05/2020 10:37

We are not going to find out the sex, but interested If anyone has any ideas!

Hello! I'm joining the thread. I had my scan this morning and I'm 13 weeks exactly and due 24/11. Have been keeping up with the thread but didn't want to join until now as I've had 3 consecutive mc so wanted to wait til now just in case. I have older children too. Scan pic too.

Hello everyone! Do you mind if I join? Had my 12 week scan last Friday and now I'm 13 +3!
Have been reading the thread but decided to wait until my scan (I had one miscarriage before)

NatalieH2220 · 19/05/2020 13:47

Lovely to see all the scan pics and welcome to those who have recently joined Smile

I got my screening results back today and low risk so very happy about that. Have booked a 16 week private scan for piece of mind as 8 weeks seems too long for the next scan and no midwife appointment scheduled until I'm 28 weeks. Bonus if they can tell us the gender too!

Pcosandpregnant · 19/05/2020 14:08

I love seeing all the scan pictures. It really is such an amazing thing isn’t it?

NoseringGirl · 19/05/2020 15:05

Lovely to see more scan pics!
@Hay94 I'd say boy from that photo!

Fouryearslater · 19/05/2020 15:07

Whinge whinge whinge. I’m so uncomfortable with this constipation. Knock off work shortly so will go back to the pharmacy again to see what else they can suggest.

I’m on 2 laxative tablets, drinking as much apple juice as I can stomach. I need to go, just can’t 😔 and each try makes it more uncomfortable.

I’d come off the anti sickness pills causing it, but I can’t deal with the nausea and sickness either.

I wouldn’t mind being shit at being pregnant so much if i were good at the giving birth part, but history suggests I’m pretty shit at that too! 🙄

Fouryearslater · 19/05/2020 15:08

And I’m boring myself being so damn miserable!

Addler · 19/05/2020 15:47

@Fouryearslater sounds horrid you poor thing. Have you tried enemas? One time it took 12 of the fuckers (just ones on amazon) but the blessed relief after that was heavenly.

seventhrow · 19/05/2020 16:17

Is anyone else having issues with really painful boobs? My nipples are stinging - pulsating stabby stinging pains. It is really distracting and extremely uncomfortable. Not enough for me to really worry, although will mention at my 16 week appt next week. Any home remedies?? Was wondering whether aloe vera might have an effect.
