In my area you have to book your 16 week appointment yourself by calling GP surgery and they'll book you in for a telephone appointment with the midwife. Was told to phone after my booking appointment - might just be worth checking for those of you that haven't had a letter/appointment through - although I think they are cancelling quite a few 16 week appointments too....

Hey everyone. I’ve been reading all your messages for the past few weeks so I hope you don’t mind me posting and joining in.

Just back from my scan and I am so relieved. After having a miscarriage in November last year - my head was all over the place but seeing that baby on the screen - I just burst into tears. Baby was so so wriggly that the midwife was getting frustrated trying to measure it haha. She kept going “sit at peace” haha!

So here’s baby due 21st November.

Just waiting for the results for the Down Syndrome test now ...

Welcome @allstarxo - I had the same wriggly issue at my scan yesterday! So glad you’ve joined us 🙂

Hancock2020 · 12/05/2020 14:37

Omg, I didn't realise just HOW MUCH water a litre is! I cant drink all that! This scan better not take long, I wont be able to hold all that in for long 🤣🤣🤣

wannabebump · 12/05/2020 14:57

@Crispaddict99 fingers crossed it's soon! If they can see how many times I've logged into the app to check they'll be thinking I'm crazy 😂

HarrietM87 · 12/05/2020 14:59

Topshop maternity has some nice things in the sale if anyone is interested. I just bought a shirt dress that will hopefully see me through breastfeeding and a couple of tops. Still in the looking fat stage and mostly wearing my pjs these days - looking forward now to having a bump!

futuredreams · 12/05/2020 16:18

It's crazy I've just noticed a line down my tummy already. Is that normal at 15 weeks? It's faint but defo there.

TangBloodyFastic · 12/05/2020 16:41

@futuredreams I noticed a faint line on Sunday! It's really faint and only just noticeable but defo there

TangBloodyFastic · 12/05/2020 16:44

@futuredreams and I'm only just coming up the 13 wks

FilthyforFirth · 12/05/2020 16:58

I'm jealous how far ahead everyone is! Still plodding along at 11+5 here.

No line yet for me, but it came really late last time.

Addler · 12/05/2020 17:07

@FilthyforFirth we'll get there soon!

Beccarans89 · 12/05/2020 17:13

@FilthyforFirth don't worry, I'm the same! 11+5 today! We are getting there slowly!

FilthyforFirth · 12/05/2020 17:22

When are your scans @Addler and @Beccarans89?! I know! I am inpatient to tell people. I have a massive, social family which has turned into a million zoom calls and quizes. I am running out of excuses as to why I have missed so many etc. One cousin has already text to ask if I am pregnant! I had a scan last week so could tell people I suppose but really want the screening done before we tell the masses.

Have you guys told people yet?

HarrietM87 · 12/05/2020 17:22

I didn’t have a line in my last pregnancy. I’m extremely fair skinned though so that’s probably why. Not everyone gets them though!

Addler · 12/05/2020 17:26

@FilthyforFirth I'm next Wednesday, will be 13+1 but I think I might be a few days behind as I think I ovulated late.

I had a scan at 10 weeks so told our families after then, as felt comfortable enough.

Hancock2020 · 12/05/2020 17:38

Wriggly baby is doing well due 23rd November. When baby waved at me and I could see all the little fingers I just cried I was so happy 🥰

Beccarans89 · 12/05/2020 17:47

@FilthyforFirth mine is next Monday and I'll be 12+4 so not too much longer. When is yours?
We've told a few people as had a scan at 10 weeks, but definitely looking forward to telling more when we've have the scan and screening results! It will be lovely when you can tell your family 😊

Beccarans89 · 12/05/2020 17:48

@Hancock2020 what a lovely photo! Glad all went well! Xx

FilthyforFirth · 12/05/2020 17:54

Yes, it really will. Close family, i.e. parents and siblings dont live close so had to be told on the phone. Luckily the rest of the massive family are local so looking forward to telling people 'face to face' i.e. the end of the drive!

Mine is next Friday I will be 13+1 but worried I will be put back a few days as both early scans had me back 2 days. I wanna go forward not back! With HG everyday counts!

NatalieH2220 · 12/05/2020 17:58

Lovely scan picture! @Hancock2020
We have the same due date Smile

Wise0wl · 12/05/2020 18:12

Congratulations @Hancock2020! Really glad it went well!

Addler · 12/05/2020 18:14

So by Friday we'll all be done? That's exciting!

eleanorsos · 12/05/2020 18:22

Congrats everyone on the beautiful scans today!! Some lovely scan photos 😊

We just got our screening results back at 1 in 7532 for Down's and less than 1 in 20000 for Edward's and Patau's. Never ruled out completely of course but a bit more confident telling people now!

Pinktruffle · 12/05/2020 18:40

@FilthyforFirth & @Beccarans89 I'm 11+5 too! I'll be 12 weeks on Thursday which is also my birthday! My scan isn't till the 22nd at which point I'll be 13+1. I've had a couple of scans already and baby was looking healthy but I've had a miscarriage at 11 weeks before so still nervous. This is my first. I've already told my parents and siblings, they knew from the day I got a positive!

Is anyone else still getting wierd cramping/pains still? Nothing severe and they go away fairly quickly. I'm fed up of the nausea and needing to pee all the time already! My nausea has got better over the last week but definitely still there

Pink15 · 12/05/2020 19:01

Does anyone have any suggestions for live online pregnancy yoga classes? I want live ones so I'm motivated to actually do it each week
