Baby is kicking loads now she seems to be more active when I lay down after I've been for a walk went for a walk for 46 mins today and I've just laid down!! Xx

Bumblebee413 · 15/05/2020 23:06

Hope you're feeling much better soon @Hatepickinganame that sounds rotten xxxx

So, we talked last night and he said that he's open to telling them now if I really want, but maybe we should wait 2 more weeks to see if there's any change to lockdown restrictions. Only because if we told them now then find out that if we had waited 2 weeks we could've told them in person he'd be gutted. And I would too to be honest. Although part of me can see this happening for weeks on end- just waiting 2 more... Grin

Chatted to my Mum on the phone and she was telling me all about her friends' new grandchildren. We've been together 15 years, married 3 and she never pressures or asks, just tells me about everyone else's grandchildren, bless her. Really can't wait to share the news.

Needallthesleep · 16/05/2020 10:06

How are you feeling today @Hatepickinganame?

Ahhh @Bumblebee413 you are amazing to keep it a secret after that conversation! It’s so lovely telling people and I’m a bit jealous you have that lovely bit to come!!

professorastrocat · 16/05/2020 10:34

Aw @Bumblebee413 sounds just like my mum. You will make her year when you tell her!

@needallthesleep im feeling so much better, thanks. Give it another day and ill be right as rain 😊 i even have more energy, dunno if its a coincidence or if the uti was making me feel worse than normal pregnancy 🙄

BooMamaBear · 16/05/2020 13:46

Glad you're feeling better @Hatepickinganame xx

Bumblebee413 · 16/05/2020 18:21

Yay for antibiotics and feeling better! Great news @Hatepickinganame x

Hatepickinganame · 16/05/2020 21:20

Thanks guys. Hope youve all had a good day today 😊 x

Needallthesleep · 16/05/2020 22:19

My husband is having a bit of a ‘down’ day today. My DD is two and going through the phase where she is obsessed with daddy. I know he is finding it a bit relentless, but I feel like shouting ‘but I’m pregnant and exhausted! This is far far worse for me!’

But have so far been sympathetic and nice. Ahhhhhh. Bring on nurseries reopening.

BooMamaBear · 16/05/2020 22:50

My DD us a proper Daddy's girl he's been disappearing into the lift (she can't go up there coz it's ladders) to play on a car racing game so even tho I have to entertain her all week while he's at work he doesn't play with her much at the weekend -, although he does bake with her for a bit and play a tiny bit but the rest of the time she's pestering him and he just says mummy will play! This was my bump a week ago it's bigger now you can see why it's uncomfortable for me to sit on the floor and play and my back kills!! I need to take a more recent bumpie!!

@Needallthesleep weirdly had similar yesterday, other half feeling a bit down from the mess of toys and relentlessness of things and he's exhausted. Which is true of course. I'm usually sympathetic but couldn't muster anything yesterday, as I mostly play with him and never have a break and I'm pregnant exhausted which is very different to exhausted! Everyone's feeling it at the mo.

Oh such a lovely bump pic @BooMamaBear. You’re so slim!

Hatepickinganame · 17/05/2020 10:56

@BooMamaBear ah thats such a cute bump!

BooMamaBear · 17/05/2020 10:57

Thanks - I had to lose 2 stone to get to the size I am now and I went to the gym once a week before I got pregnant! I was overweight this time last year! Xx

Hatepickinganame · 17/05/2020 11:02

@BooMamaBear well done on losing it, a couple of years ago after my third i was a size 16 (a 12 before that, and before my 2nd i was a size 10) before i found out i was pregnant this time i was a size 8-10 and possibly a little too thin but im super worried I'll put all the weight ive lost back on now 🤯

BooMamaBear · 17/05/2020 11:27

Thanks- Me too coz I really controlled what I ate coz I wanted to lost a few more pounds which gets hard when you get your weight down to a normal level but since being pregnant I'm eating what I want but I'm not drinking I guess!
I'd always been a size 8 until about year after DD I went up to a size 14 now I'm and 8-10 though my belly right now only fits into maternity clothes (bottom half anyway) xxx

Talcott2007 · 18/05/2020 09:47

Morning All - So after a phone call from my boss on Friday - I'm now un-furloughed! (still able to work from home at least!) Very mixed feelings - I do like my job and I'm glad to do the work on the one hand BUT as DH and I are now both trying to work the nice little routine I'd got DD into will have to go out the window! Wish me luck!
Still looks like my face to face 16w appointment with my MW is going ahead on Wednesday which is good seeing as most peoples seem to have been cancelled or done over the phone.

Bumblebee413 · 18/05/2020 09:51

Beautiful bump @BooMamaBear. How many weeks were you there? 18?

We're finally telling people tonight and I'm so excited I could burst! Somewhat annoyingly I've been tender/ achey for the first time with occasional stabbing pains across my tummy, but I'm fairly certain it's just round ligament pain and stretching. 15 weeks today.

We told my BIL last night as he and our SIL have been trying for nearly a year and she's finding it really hard every time someone announces a pregnancy. Just to pre warn her as we're doing it via family zoom calls. Hoping she'll be ok.

AHH! Just too excited and can't really tell anyone why just yet Grin

BooMamaBear · 18/05/2020 11:31

Thanks everyone I was 17+5 it's bit bigger now I'm 19w!
So glad I bought some maternity clothes otherwise I'd have nothing to wear'
@Bumblebee413 -don't know how you've managed not to tell people it's easier under lockdown I guess!
My SIL always (twice) announced on FB at 12 weeks which 2nd time coincided with me finding out my baby was too poorly to survive -the same day which she knew - that was hard so I feel for your SIL but you have every right to be excited it just will be hard for her but sounds like you went about it the right way!
Most family and close friends know now I'm not planning to put anything on social media just to let others know til 24 weeks!!
Hope you're all coping with the stretching pains ok just gotta to make room for bump! Xx

BooMamaBear · 18/05/2020 11:34

@Bumblebee413 - didn't mean you acted anything like my SIL by the way -just know what it's like when family members get pregnant and you're not pregnant despite wanting to be! Xx

Bumblebee413 · 18/05/2020 12:39

No, don't worry at all, I didn't read it that way at all. That must have hurt so much at the time I'm sorry you had to go through that.
I kind of wish we'd given her a little longer to get her head around it but my DH was actually showing willing and we had a chat scheduled in with his family so... I definitely wouldn't have been able to keep it quiet if we weren't on lockdown. There's a reason all my colleagues knew so early on Wink

professorastrocat · 18/05/2020 14:55

@Bumblebee413 ah have fun telling everyone tonight! 🤗

@Talcott2007 good luck! We have a routine with us both working but I'm not managing my full hours even with working in the evenings etc.

I'm so nervous for my scan tomorrow they've already tested for chromosomal abnormalities, her heart rate is in the normal range and she's moving and kicking fine so I'm sure it'll be ok but I can't help feeling nervous! I'm not in til 1pm! Xx

Hhdxx · 19/05/2020 09:22

@BooMamaBear your bump looks amazing!

I have started to get a bump but it is on my whole front so you cant see that I'm pregnant, I just look really bloated.

I don't know why I am feeling 'not pregnant'
I think it's because I've still got another 4 weeks until my 20 week scan. I can't decide whether I've felt the baby move or not? I'm only 16 weeks and it is our first baby so probably not.

I've just had my 16 week appointment which was 6 minutes long and the midwife asking if I'm ok. No tests or anything... oh well. I've just bought a blood pressure machine to do at home .

Hope you're all well. xxxx

BooMamaBear · 19/05/2020 09:27

@Hhdxx -that's what my 16w appt was like she told me about whooping cough jab and that my bloods were fine but other than just asked me if I was ok!
Any how got my scan with my consultant today I'll speak to her! Xxx
