BooMamaBear · 19/05/2020 15:42

So all was ok everything normal (I was so nervous) they're going to scan me again at 26 weeks just coz of my history they said I'd get a 3D pic then too!! Xx

@BooMamaBear Lovely scan 🥰

Spent my morning googling heamoglobin and platelets. My 16w appt over the phone was "all bloods are fine", the paperwork came through the post today and although fine, we don't really know what it means haha

Although no actual definitive kicks or punches coming through yet, 100% can feel movement. Can't wait for DP to be able to feel it.

Talcott2007 · 19/05/2020 16:59

Lovely clear profile on your scan @BooMamaBear - looks gorgeous!

Needallthesleep · 19/05/2020 17:08

Always such a relief after scans when everything is fine. So pleased for you.

BooMamaBear · 19/05/2020 17:16

Thanks all no scan now til 7th July!! Xx

professorastrocat · 19/05/2020 18:01

That's so true @DPSawMyUsername we do just get told all fine but not the details!

I had two days of movement and had nothing for ages now 😕 I'm guessing it's still normal at this stage even with second pregnancy. 17+4 today.

BooMamaBear · 19/05/2020 18:19

@professorastrocat -yeah I don't get movement/kicks everyday though this one is quite wriggly when I go to bed but you don't need to track movement til 28 weeks when they should move a few times a day! Xx

Hatepickinganame · 19/05/2020 19:11

Ah @BooMamaBear thats an adorable photo! Cant wait for my scan now, two weeks to go! Also, do you guys have bump names? Mine goes by its relevant fruit, for instance last week it was the Grape and this week we call it the Prune 😂😂😂😂

DPSawMyUsername · 19/05/2020 19:35

We've got the private scan on 29th and he's finally made his mind up that he'd like to know the gender. Doubt we'll do a big reveal with cakes, balloons or cannons. Shame but nicer when you can share it with people in one setting and have a few non alcoholic fizzy drinks after.

I was calling it Gummy because the 9 week scan looked like a gummy bear but the 12 week doesn't do that name justice now. 🤷🏻‍♀️

BooMamaBear · 19/05/2020 19:38

I just call her little one! Xx

BooMamaBear · 19/05/2020 21:14

Just thought I'd share - my baby Oscar kicking and wriggling loads she seems to do this when I lay on my back in bed after drinking full fat Fanta from the fridge!
Just thought I'd share in case it works for anyone else coz it works for me -she's not stopped yet tho! Xxx

professorastrocat · 20/05/2020 08:56

Gonna be a sunny day! ☀️

Good luck for your appointment @Talcott2007

Gonna be a warm one too - going out for a walk after breakfast! Xx

Talcott2007 · 20/05/2020 11:29

Hi all - so appointment was really good! I just have such a lovely midwife. I am really getting so much better care in this pregnancy! Got to hear babies heartbeat (which I kind of wasn't expecting them to offer to do) - although she did have to chase baby around as they are still a wriggle monster! (The phrase "Hooligan" might have been uttered by the midwife! Grin) As I hadn't had any results of the combined blood test back she called up there and them to get them - all looks good. 1 in 32,000/1 in 50,000/1 in 23,000 for the 3 conditions alongside a very small NT measurement means we are officially low risk. Very happy. Roll on the 20w scan on 22nd June!

BooMamaBear · 20/05/2020 11:33

All sounds really positive lovely that you got to hear the heartbeat - love the strong sound I heard it on the scan yesterday! Xx

professorastrocat · 20/05/2020 12:03

Haha Hooligan! Great news re the appointment. I hope I can hear the heartbeat at the next scan x

But im back in which means no more excuses for not actually writing haha. I know this isnt pregnancy related but im just so excited! Hope youre all well 😊

Bumblebee413 · 21/05/2020 08:03

This is a lovely bunch of good news. Glad that the scans and appointments went well!! It was lovely telling everyone and is such a relief. A little bittersweet with our BIL and SIL but we cried with them and let them know it was ok to be happy and sad at the same time.

Hope work goes really well @Talcott2007 and that everyone is staying cool in the heat x

BooMamaBear · 21/05/2020 08:13

@Bumblebee413 -glad you could tell everyone!!
Girls if any of you need maternity leggings I can't recommend Love Leggings enough They're online and I saw them recommended on another thread, they're not see through, are really comfy and really good quality!! They only took 3 days to come and you can pay by PayPal!
I got some from H&M at first and they're fine for wearing under a dress but if I wear them with a top and bend they're see thru! And they took over 2 weeks to come! Xx

Hatepickinganame · 21/05/2020 08:24

@bumblebee413 ah so glad youve told everyone. Most of my family know, i cant keep secrets! will be telling his after the scan i think. Thanks @boomamabear will have a look, although my maternity trousers arrived and they are too big which made me feel better about how huge i think i am 😂😂

professorastrocat · 21/05/2020 09:08

Glad you've got to tell everyone @Bumblebee413 ! I'm sure it was lovely and sounds like you were so understanding for your sil x

Happy days @Hatepickinganame what sort of writing do you do? Unfortunately for me my maternity trousers came and I thought argh these are too big, my bum isn't that big but of course they fit perfectly....

@professorastrocat ive published a young adult fantasy book, and im halfway through writing the sequel. Its taken 2 years so far thanks to my very messy divorce 😂 lost all motivation for it but finally feeling better now pregnancy wise so decided it was time to get back on it! And also so im relieved mat stuff is still a little too big, although it felt much more comfortable than trying to squeeze into my normal trousers 😂😂😂
